The spare ribs is very delicious. We're spicy lover so we ordered spare ribs with spicy sauce and the portion was quite much. The burger also nice. The price a bit pricey but we're happy since the foods are delicious.

Went here on our first night in Amsterdam, due to coved the place was empty but still had a nice atmosphere. The food was gorgeous we had 2 different soups and I had the ribs which were falling off the bone and my wife had the steak which was cooked exactly how she asked for. The staff were also excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This cafe is beautifully situated in a large wildflower garden, featuring lots of outdoor seating. Literally outside the metro/train station, and the ID Aparthotel, it's a wonderful place for a group meal. Spacious indoor restaurant too, although we didn't eat inside. Yummy pub-style food and beers; wine menu was so-so, but in general Holland isn't wine-country so we enjoyed more local offerings :)

I was asked how I would like my steak cooked. An odd thing to be asked if you're having a yakitori dish I thought.
Now whilst the steak was cooked adequately, it was served on a sickly sweet Japanese style sauce with a plate of hot and cold vegetables. This was meant to be yakitori but in no way resembled it.
Not a skewer in sight.
Perhaps I should have had something simpler, like a burger.

We had some drinks and a snack inside. The terrace outside was packed, the staff was extremely busy but also extremely noisy. With an open bar and kitchen, I suggest the staff to lower their voices. The food was good and service was quick, for which we offered the waiter a small tip. Unfortunately (probably because it was so busy) he miscalculated and we paid more than requested.

Arrived here in Sloterdijk late Friday night. Too late to try out Grand Cafe Hermes. Unfortunately closed Saturday and Sunday. Last night tonight 27/1. What a meal.I had the ribs in yakatori sauce,huge portion and to die for. Meat just fell off the bones.Husband had the Mexican beef and was well impressed,so congratulations to the chef. Darren who served us was courteous and polite. Just a shame we have to go home tomorrow.

Stayed across the road for a week for the Dutch gp and came here on the last day... What a mistake, we should have came here everyday, I ordered the BBQ ribs and I mean they were so perfect I managed to eat the meat with a fork, it fell off the bone. I'm already craving more ribs. Great place to eat and hangout I'd say

After a disappointing encounter at a nearby facility we stumbled upon this grand-cafe. It was my birthday and staff made sure from the moment we walked in that we felt very welcome. They even got a croissant for my toddler which is not on their menu. I also got ‘fireworks’ on my food to celebrate. Food was great as well. I highly recommend this place and they will see us more often!

The first restaurant me and my friend have visited in Amsterdam, and it was great! For the price, the portions were big and had so much flavour. Our server was attentive and made sure everything was alright for us. Definitely somewhere I would recommend!

What a lovely place!
Could not recommend it any more.
Peter and his team were super welcome and accommodating.
We had a lovely lunch ( delicious food) where they make you feel more like at home than in the restaurant.
Whenever we will be back at Amsterdam will be visiting it again.

Stayed just outside Amsterdam, one stop on the train from Central in the Holiday Inn Sloterdijk.
Opposite was this amazing find of a restaurant.
We were welcomed by Debbie who made our visit such fun and perfect.
Nothing was too much trouble and the food & choice were excellent and reasonably priced.
My partner tried Trappist beer which he enjoyed.
Only open Monday to Friday, as we would have visited on the Saturday as well!
Thank you to Kenneth for great service along with Debbie.

The food was very good, atmosphere too. Staff was hard to get to our table, and we had to wait quite long to pay etc. But service was good, food was tasty, and they had amazing vegetarian options,and good wine.

Came across this restaurant as it was close to our hotel. We had been into Central Amsterdam but wanted to eat close to hotel as we were tired from travelling. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was very good, great portions and value for money. Really nice atmosphere and would visit again.

We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express for a few days and one evening after our trip to Centraal we went to Hermes. At the time it was better to sit inside and the four of us had a very enjoyable meal and time there.
Good choice of dishes plus some nice craft beers.
The staff were very helpful and efficient and prices were reasonable..

Came across this little gem by chance set in the middle of wild planting right outside Sloterdijk station. Excellent friendly service and superb food. Great location and nice ambience, all the staff were friendly and helpful, portions were generous and everything we tried on the menu exceeded our expectations.
