SAHAN is a great place to enjoy well cooked, original Turkish food. And different from many Turkish restaurants in this part of the town they serve alcohol: nice Turkish wines by the glass, Efes beer and raki of course. What would fetah and melon, Peynir Tabagi, be without a glass of gold raki? I especially like their mezze selection, Cig Kofte is a brilliant dish you rarely see in our country. But also mini durum and kalamar are so well made. I can recommend their dishes from the grill, both fish maines like levres as their kebabs. Kind and fast service!

Looking at local options near our hotel we were really impressed with the Sahan. Its quite large but was packed with couples, families and a really nice friendly feel. The staff were enthusiastic and hard working - efficient and the food, which had a Turkish feel, was great

The food was delicious. I had the vegetable stew which was totally amazing. My husband had the chicken stuffed with spinach which he thoroughly enjoyed. Lovely atmosphere, great friendly staff. I would highly recommend. Hoping to revisit before we leave for home.

Lovely staff. Clean restaurant with lovely decor and a built-in fish tank that my daughter loved. The best mocktail ever. Food was delicious too. Good portions with great taste.

Absolutely phenomenal experience at Sahan Amsterdam! Visiting from America, we were on the hunt for a top-notch Turkish restaurant, and Sahan exceeded all our expectations. The variety of delicious dishes was impressive - we indulged in kebap, meze, and some exceptional cocktails. The bread was the best we've ever had, and the special dessert called Mecnun was an absolute delight. We were truly stunned by the quality and flavors. The staff was super friendly, and the restaurant was spotless with a lovely ambiance. Highly recommend Sahan for an unforgettable dining experience!

The restaurant serves amazing food and has a very carrying service. Always great to come by and can for sure recommend it! Love the selection of smaller dishes which enables to try a range of their menu.

We stumbled upon this Turkish restaurant late one evening. Sat down by a Beautiful saltwater aquarium and enjoyed watching many nice fish while waiting for our meze. We ordered hummus, white beans, aubergine and lamb meatballs. Everything was so tasty and rich!
The food was so great that we went back next evening to try some more mezes. We totally reccomend this place.

Arrived late to Amsterdam on a Monday evening and after checking into our hotel my boyfriend and I were hungry, as it was late we decided to take a quick walk around the area of our hotel and see if anywhere was open. Despite being 10pm Sahan welcomes us with open arms.
The place was inviting and well lit, the menu had lots of choice (even for vegetarians) and the service was absolutely perfect. Aaran was very attentive and lovely and made sure we had everything we needed.
We opted for lots of smaller mezze dishes and could not believe how good the food was! Everything we ate tasted incredible! Unfortunately we were only in Amsterdam for three days otherwise we would have absolutely gone back.
A must visit if you’re nearby.

Visited this restaurant on the strength of TripAdvisor reviews whilst staying in the area.
The restaurant is spotless, an open kitchen so that it is possible to see what is happening 'behind the scenes'.
The ambience is very pleasant, staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Prices are reasonable for the city- not much is cheap.
The dishes we ordered were good but not great. My wife chose the mixed grill, although pleasant, possibly not as tender as it could have been. I ordered a lamb stew, again the meat was tasty, but not fall off the bone sift. The waiter advised me to beware of the dish because it was boiling hot! Pity that the food inside was barely warm. To me, hot food should be hot.
A very nice evening, but as our teachers used to say; could have tried harder.
Would go back.

The food is absolutely delicious I would especially recommend the mini dürüm and the arnavut cigeri and the humus (starter) all absolutely delicious well complimented by the delicious Yakut (red wine) and the Vin Art Chardonnay (white) both are Turkish and go extremely well with an especially well made authentic Turkish cuisine. My boyfriend and I always return for this reason! Definitely a place to go to!
