After sightseeing and walking around the city we decided to relax and have a bite to eat in a Rick Steve’s recommended rooftop terrace on the 11th floor of the Doubletree by Hilton near Central Station. We were not disappointed. Our lovely waitress Myrthe was very friendly and helpful with matching up our food and drinks to our liking. The view was spectacular and on this sunny day there was a nice breeze. There isn’t much shade up there but we sat under a fabric “sail” that helped keep us out of the direct sunlight.
This is a pricey restaurant,as you might expect, but if you’re looking to treat yourself this is a great place to do so.

I want to thank each member of this team who made it an exceptional night. Olga and Victoria were at every moment of my visit, every detail and gesture they had with me from the drinks menu to the dessert was spectacular, I had a spectacular view located in the middle of the restaurant. When night falls... the magic begins, the chef tinsun tang was our butler for the night, explaining each round of food that he presented on the table, I was very impressed with the food, attention and dedication. each drink was an adventure…. mix of flavors at different levels. I thank everyone for making me have a great night and I will definitely return and it is fully recommended

I came here with with my cousins who haven’t seen in a long time as a get together thinking we are gonna have a chill relax night but turns out that was not the case….. the moments we stepped in we was greeted with old friends with warm heart and ALLOT of loves that they made sure we got the best service!! Chealsie had her big bright smile making our drinks with her classy cool moves! Jasi amd Tamara brought our drinks and food with the most islandly and local arubian vibe to the point we felt like family here that there was not a single point we didn’t feel uncomfortable or unwelcome!! And I can’t forget Gerald on being a big G…..
highly recommend on coming here without a doubt!!! You’ll get fast service, amazing vibe from everyone and OEF!! That bright smile to make you feel at home!

I was there for my sister's birthday on the night of September 28th.
On the reservation, for 3 people, I had written that the event was a birthday but upon my arrival it seemed that no one knew and they were not prepared for a minimum welcome in this regard.
once seated, we had to wait 30 minutes before receiving the dinner order, we could only order drinks, and after all this time the waiter who finally comes to take the order told us that the kitchen was closing so we would have missed the opportunity to have dinner, but if we wanted to eat something we could only order fries, even if it didn't go well with the bottle of bubbles we had already ordered. so I ruined the dinner I was expecting to give to my sister who had come on holiday for her birthday from Italy. We try again with dessert, we order 2 different types but due to the waiter's poor preparation in explaining the dish we are invited to get up to see them with our own eyes, we choose them with a kind Italian employee who seemed to be the only one who wanted to offer good service, but the waiter who had "served" us all evening tells her that they had already been ordered, so I think they went to defrost some others and after almost half an hour from the order, after several attempts at attention they arrived. The icing on the cake, while we were waiting for the bill, which was also slow in arriving, a security guard arrived and asked us to leave more quickly, as if they had been prompt in their service. I too have been working in the restaurant business for 6 years now and I was very disappointed to find a place so abandoned in the heart of Amsterdam, with one of the most beautiful views and an interesting design. Poor bartenders! Poor customers! Need to grow up the staff!

My daughter reserve for birthday surprise celebration together with my friends. 9:30 we got the bill of €600,-while we still eating and waiting for a drinks and 10 o’clock 2 guards kick us out like a piece of sh*t , as on as possible we need to leave the table coz my daughter who made the reservation is under of age 18. While she is on my guidance.
Month ago she was at the same place with her friends and under of age without parents, so this was allowed to stay until late in at night?
The way was treated us specifically with my friends and daughter was horrible and disgusting.

In short, our waitress only came to us twice in 1 hour and 40 mins (not exaggerating). We would have loved to have ordered more cocktails and bites but service was non existent and we got tired of waiting. We had to go up to the bar twice to order a second round and get our final check because our waitress was always nowhere to be found. Never in my life have I not given a tip in any country. Even with less than ideal service I still tip well. I didn’t tip here at all. That should tell you how bad it was.
Drinks were good and that food was pretty good too (took an hour to get it though). No water was ever provided even though we ordered it. We noticed not a single table had water.
Hope they get it together. Could be good place if they get the service figured out.

The attention was horrible. They were doing a production while “taking care” of clients. They took 30 min to bring a glass of wine (after reminding them), they messed up the food order. Wouldn’t come back, specially considering the price range of the place for the type of hospitality you’re receiving.

I don’t know how this restaurant has such good reviews because the service is SO poor. The waiters had a disgusting attitude. We asked for a light to be brought to the table as it was very dark and the waiter slammed it on the table right in front of our face. The food came after a long wait and it was cold. It took so long to bring back that when we finally got everyone else except the person who sent their food back had stopped eating. Drinks were not even all. The moon drink was not nice. The beef Randang was the worst I’ve ever eaten. They placed a nut mix on the table and didn’t even ask anyone if they were allergic which is a HUGE red flag. However the burger and the beef ribs enjoyed throughly despite the terrible service from the wait staff. But the hosts and security were kind.

We arrived and we were welcomed at the elevator in a very nice way by the lady who let us enter.
The moment we entered the bar, the lady behind the desk didnt greet us at first and didnt make eye contact. She asked us my name and escorted us to one of the small tables on the side directly next to the entrance (not the window side). She was not friendly at all.
This was already surprising for me, as when I made a reservation online, I directly called to request window seats and was told that there was made a note for that.
We decided to walk around in the bar at first to see the ambiance and the bar where the guy was making cocktails.
I asked the same employee whether we could have a table on the window side, as this was also what I requested during the call after my reservation. I saw that people were about to leave so I asked her if we could have that table. She responded in a very rude way by saying that there are a lot of requests, and those people were not even gone yet. And that I should go back to my table.
We went back to our table. After some time, she came back and asked us if we still would like to move. I didnt hear her properly (because of the music and she had an accent) so I asked her if she could repeat what she said. She said: you requested another table right? Then you should come with me now!! Very rude.
At our second table, precious view and we were served by a very hospitable and friendly lady who made our night from bad to enjoyable.
However, I myself have worked in the hospital industry which is on the same level of Hilton (Marriott, JW Marriott and W hotel). I do not expect this kind of service and behavior when I need to spend a minimum amount of money. Also, we came from Den Bosch all the way to explore this bar. This employee does not know anything about customer service, satisfaction and customer loyalty.
I am expecting a compensation for this unfriendly, not hospitable and very very unwelcoming behavior. Such as discount for either Hilton stay, or a free stay, or another night with window view at the bar with also discount or no payment.

Stayed at the Hilton over the weekend tried to go to the bar on Saturday night, the gloomy looking woman at the bottom of the lift said they are full. Fine so we booked to return when they had a space you have to leave room number and a phone number. We never received a call to go back so we didn’t end up going that night.
We went on Sunday afternoon there were only 3 tables in there and again a very unwelcome host said do you have a booking, if you are going to employ a host at least make sure they can offer basic customer service a smile goes a long way! We were sat and asked about drinks $22 for a cocktail so we assumed they would be good. Drinks came in the smallest glass I’ve ever seen a cocktail come in they make a ballon on top and this changes the taste of the drink and leaves a film on the top so wasn’t nice. The drinks were average and expensive and I do not feel they had any alcohol if they did it was minimal there profit on the drinks must be amazing!
Very gimmicky not worth the money wouldn’t recommend. You are paying for a view not what you receive.

Would recommend coming during the day! The sandwiches were tasty, coffee is great and by day the view is mesmerising. You can see the entire city centre. During lunch time it's not immensely crowded so the service is quick and the staff has time to answer questions and chitchat a bit.

Such a kind and friendly staff, Salvatore stands out for his friendliness behind the counter, after explaining the menu to us he recommended the right cocktail based on our tastes to me and my friends and entertained us for the rest of our stay. the bites are good, the oysters served with that smoke effect and the cocktails with bubbles make the atmosphere very magical. congratulations for the concept. We will come back!

This has to be the best bar in Amsterdam! The view, ambiance and staff are just amazing. We came for a late meal and drinks. The menu is extensive and I recommend choosing a few dishes to share, the food was fresh and absolutely excellent.
The bar staff can mix pretty much any classic cocktail, it’s one of the best old fashioned I’ve had in Northern Europe.
The staff are friendly and welcoming, Ana and Ioannis were so friendly and helpful, taking time to make sure our visit was everything we wanted, they greeted us like old friends and couldn’t have done more. Service is fast and attentive.
Stay clear of the bars of De Wallen and head for Luminair for a great night out.

The snacks and signature cocktails were really good.
Enjoying a lovely time with my partner with a beautiful view of Amsterdam plus some good music.
The whole experience was amazing thanks to the staff especially Andreas, he gave great info of the dishes and what suited best for our tasted when it came of flavors for the snacks and cocktails.

I had a table booked at 8:30 but had to wait in the lobby until 9:30, and had to keep asking them roughly when they would let me up. When they finally did it took another 30 minutes to get a drink and then they told me they had no tables for me so I had to eat at the bar. Would not recommend
