Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were walking around the town and didn't have a reservation. When we passed by this restaurant I originally was hesitant due to the mixed reviews, but really felt like eating seafood and the restaurants prior to this were either pizza restaurants or tapas style...food. This restaurant caught my eye as it is the typical family style business with friendly staff. We got a few starters to share - mussels, calamari fritti and king prawns, and then spaghetti vongole and grilled calamari for mains. The food overall was good, nothing out of this world but was tasty and prepared well. The portions are on the smaller side, but well priced. Would recommend for a chilled dinner!More

The original plan for the evening was a pizza, and this was scuppered by the intended premises being closed…. So I walked down to Corsa Vittorio Emanuelle and turned right… initially Pizzeria Kephas looked good, but there was no attractive table available so I turned...around to see a perfect trattoria for my particular wants… 5 stars to the waiter at Kephas who said “look for the real Sardinia” as I walked way. The smile from Nonna was so welcoming and after inquiring about a table with superb views of the Corso I was seated and served. This is a no nonsense establishment, perfectly Sardinian, and the wines and beers are all local and reasonably priced… wines are mainly a choice between Cannonau or Carignano… some say Cannonau beat Grenache to the original vine… anyhow, that’s just the reds. The whites are all Vermentino… with one exception. Silenzi. The quality was outstanding. The food was more interesting… Culurgiones with potato, Sardinian style… the sauce was more interesting… initially I thought it was a little bland but then Irealised it was infused with delicate flavours that reminded me is how the mountains smell on this island. The Calamari was the best I have tasted… the coating again infused with Sardinia. Very simple food, family history and everything is about place… Plus the best views of Cagliari nightlife.More

Nice and cozy family restaurant, “cucina alla Nonna” freshly cooked from nonna herself. If you are looking for an easy classic Sardinian restaurant this is the place to visit!

Nice traditional family-run restaurant facing the renewed Corso Vittorio Emanuele street. Prices a little cheaper than the average of the street, it is the only Trattoria there. Trattoria is normally indicating a family-run restaurant, typically with a cosy and homey atmosphere and historically used from...locals for lunch-breaks. Signora Luisa reminded me my mum preparing my meal, I went alone for dinner and enjoyed commenting with her the Talk show at the television. This time I had a spaghetti vongole and bottarga, typical of Cagliari. It was very balanced and tasty and the spaghetti well cooked, not so easy to find well done. I definitely recommend it. The house white wine is a light vermentino, but they have great choices if you fancy local bottled wines of superior quality.More

We took mixed fish grill and grilled prawns. Small portions, six shrimps for 15E, the grilled fish was horrible, it's belly and head not emptied, tasted bitter... Spaghetti was ok but tiny portion. The mixed salad was ugly without dressing. Payed the most useless 50...euros of our lives for a dinner...More

It's very difficult for me to give a rating to that restaurant. We just found it when walking around the town and decided to get in. The price for full menu (starters, pasta, fish, coffee and mirt liquor) was 25€ - roughly 10 less than...around. The amount was huge and the taste was nice. Unfortunately the waiter was not really welcoming and we felt as if we were making him trouble. The worst was afterwards because I got totally poisoned probably from the mussels and spent half of the night really sick in the hotelMore

I wouldn't normally leave a review if I hadn't eaten in a place but this restaurant deserves it. The waiter was perfectly friendly at first. He cleaned our table and gave us a menu but then disappeared. We eventually flagged him down and told him...we wanted to order and he went to get his pad. He then entered and exited the restaurant 6 or 7 times and didn't come back to us so we left. When he left he waved his hand at us and went 'pah', obviously not bothered that he'd lost our custom, probably thinking that we were tourists who'd never return anyway but we actually live very close to the restaurant.More

Easily the best value restaurant in lower part of Old Quarter of Cagliari. I had the €10 special which included a starter of homemade bean and vegetable soup, and a main course of fried breast of chicken with a side of fresh steamed cauliflower. Excellent...quality Sardinian bread. 0.25 l of good local chilled red wine is €1.50. Popular with office workers from the local administration. Service very friendly and efficient.Open 7 days for lunch and dinner except Mon and Tues nights.More
