We visited this place for a pre-dinner drink at it was perfect. The food was excellent. Would recommend.

This place was a little gem and by far my favourite place to graze in Venice. We stopped off for a glass of wine, and then stayed for another and another. Indulged in a snack and then their Lasagne. All of which were fabulous. The...More

I hadn’t been to la cantina for many years and very little had changed. The wine was good value at around €4 a glass and the chicetti were very nice. You need to go in to order your food and wine when you arrive. Service...More

This bar was just down the street from our apartment, so we popped in for pre-dinner drinks during our stay in Venice. It had looked very popular during the day, with the tables outside bustling with people - however when we visited it was pouring...More

Sit, order a spritz and a sampling of cicheti (made to order) and watch the world go by...a nice stop with fun waitstaff. My man ordered a ham sandwich and was not disappointed. 3 drinks , 2 lunches 30€ worked for us!!

This was a very disappointing trip. We walked past on our first night in Venice and saw this little bar bustling with people and life - so we thought we would remember it and come back. It was our last night and we decided to...More

Ideal stop on your walking tour of Cannargio, to just take a break and people watch as it on one of the cities rat-runs from and to the Vaporettos and you get to see a great cross section of local activity and Emmets (tourists) wandering...More

We were nervous to eat here at first because it's in a very touristy area, but it was surprisingly delicious! We ordered the fresh fish of the day with vegetables/salad and it was so fresh, healthy and delicious! Exactly what we needed on a hot...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
