We were lucky enough to lunch twice here in our week 31 October to 7 November. The first time the high tide had flooded the restaurant floor (only by a centimetre or two). Presumably the kitchen was also flooded, but the staff still turned out...More

Great service with amazing food. The seafood and Liver was amazing. The only comment I would have that would be a slight negative is the pasta is a bit al dente.

This trip to Venice was in celebration of our forty fifth wedding anniversary and as Antiche Carampane is my wife’s favourite restaurant – it had to be the first table I booked. Even on a wet Friday lunchtime, a couple of days after the worst...More

Made a reservation here the other day. Spent over 2 hours wondering the neighborhood looking for it (prior to our assigned 9:30 reservation time). We did this because it would have cost us 35 euros per person for a no show without 6 hours notice....More

This restaurant is totally worth the journey to get to it - it's off the beaten path, but easy to find with Google Maps. We made a reservation just a few days beforehand, and a reservation is necessary. It was crowded but intimate. The service...More

A small, but busy, family run restaurant offering a traditional Venetian seafood menu. The menu is seasonal and uses fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The meals are simple but delicious and while primarily seafood, there are dishes to satisfy non seafood lovers. The restaurant has a...More

This is just the best seafood in Venice. No real competition, though some think so. I won't re-do my last review, except to say that all is well and both food and responsive service remain excellent. Hard to find. We always reconnoiter in the afternoon...More

We’ve followed recommendations from all sites and didn't regret it. The restaurant is difficult to find but it worth every step and every penny. The setting is very warm, dishes are simple but delicious and service is impeccable. You feel at home there. And it...More

We found this restaurant by chance following research as to the best places to eat while in Venice and it didn't disappoint in terms of the food. We were a party of 6 with varying preferences and all were catered for albeit the seafood was...More

Mixed fried seafood (friturra) and the squid with ink and carpaccio was good. Spaghetti vongole was disappointing. 166 euros for 1 bottle of wine and the items below.

The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the
Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six

neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the
markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops
display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San
Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi)

Agree with comments below - well worth the splurge. Our cost was €110, two glasses of wine. Important to book ahead.

We actually visited the restaurant in October although I reviewed it in November. We got our hotel to book - but it is possible that it's closed in January.
