Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Delicioso - I don’t even know if that is an Italian word, but I think you’ll get it regardless. What’s on the menu? Homemade pasta, and the most simple but best kind. Everything was the delicious - the carbonara was a little bit on the...salty side. But everything else was perfecto 🤌 Prices reasonable, and efficient and kind service. We’ll definitely stop by again if we get the chance. Truffle pasta, broccoli pesto pasta, and even the simple pomodoro was so good. Content, and full without being ripped of. What’s not to like?More

My niece and husband were in town for a visit and I had heard of Pasta Lab and thought I would give it a try. We had so much fun! We made tagliatelle and tortelloni and both were fabulous. Alexandra and Lucia are professional chefs...with an immaculately clean kitchen. They take their work very seriously and want to make sure you make the most out of your experience. If you have no experience cooking or if you are a chef they will tailor the class to your skill levels. I highly recommend this cooking class. I have been to several cooking classes in Italy and Pasta Lab is the best.More

Great food, excellent service. Although very busy the staff was very polite and helpful. We loved the pastas! Worth the walk from the citycenter.

Very friendly service. Our youngest son had his mind set on ravioli which wasn't on the present menu, and the staff offered to make it for him. The food was perfectly cooked and served fast. Easy to communicate, the staff was very multilingual and spoke...a very good english. Close to high way.More

The best pasta I’ve had in a very long time. Simple place but with food that punches so amazingly far above its weight. The menu is short and simple and varies a lot from day to day. It’s all pasta - as the name might...suggest. And you can also buy the pasta by weight and cook it yourself if that’s more convenient. Everything is home made here. The people are super accommodating (probably the owners - Stefano and Sara ). We had some fantastic ravioli al brassato di manzo and tagliatelle all ‘uovo alla bolognese. Absolutely formidable food. We also tried their ravioli di spinaci e ricotta which was rich and very tasty with a good bite and a fresh spinach taste. If you’re looking for a candlelit romantic dinner this might not be the place as it’s a very small and simple place - but it has a very honest and hardworking high quality atmosphere. Oh. And don’t be afraid to ask for things outside the menu - the menu is just a starting point. And the price point is very reasonable. If you had the same food in a fancy place it’d probably be Michelin…More

If you go for homemade pasta, this is the place. The restaurant is 20 min. by foot from the tourist district. But it’s worth the effort. A handwritten plate shows the daily menu, the food is simple but tasty. We got heavenly pasta with truffles...and other Italian specialties. The service is like visiting good friends, informal and relaxed. We loved it!More

Easily one of my favorite restaurants on the planet. Amazing menu thats always changing, the staff was awesome, let us try everything and even made us some custom plates! We went back the day after and wanted to stay in Bolzano for many days and...just eat there all the time. Great people, great food and great environment, if you're visiting the South Tyrol region and don't pass by PastaLab you've missed out on a great eating experience.More

I can easily say that this is my favorite restaurant I've ever been to (including Michelin star restaurants). The food was delicious and its the first time I have ever cried of happiness at resto because of the food. TLDR: incredible food, incredible wine pairing,...incredible ambiance, incredible service at a great price. They sell fresh pasta and are also open for lunch and dinner. Make a reservation, check their instagram (pastalab.bz)! Its a small resto with high quality authentic food and a menu that changes at lunch at dinner. It's a really fun vibe because you can speak to the chef and he'll create whatever you want... because I wanted to try every single pasta they had in their fridge (which weren't on the evenings menu). We went for dinner and made a reservation for the next day at lunch. We were sad that our trip was over, because if we had the chance, we would have only eaten there every meal for weeks. I dream of coming back to Bolzano to come back to Pasta Lab... to the point that I am planning vacations that can include a pit stop to come back and eat again at this Pasta Lab. My friends and I don't go more than a few days without mentioning Pasta Lab. Check their instagram.. it doesn't seem possible, but its even better than it looks. Enjoy your lunch or dinner, because it is seriously the best pasta and (other dishes) you'll have in your life. Can't wait to come back <3More

I actually discovered this restaurant on Instagram while looking up photos of Bolzano. I made a reservation online which was a nice and simple feature, I even got a text confirmation and reminder. The restaurant is quite small but cozy and well-decorated. The open kitchen...was nice, as I’m a chef and I love to watch the cooking process! For Valentine’s Day they had a set menu which I wasn’t intrigued by, so the fantastic waiter told me some dishes they could make and suggested many options which all sounded amazing. In the end I chose 3 smaller plates: the first was a pasta with peas and bacon. It was delicious, but not my favorite of the 3 (I would order it again though and will definitely try to recreate it at home). The second, pasta with truffles. It was to die for. It literally melted in my mouth. I have never been a fan of truffles or mushrooms for that matter, but this completely changed my mind. This was 100% the second best dish I’ve ever had in my life. The third was a risotto with orange and artichokes. A very interested combination, but the flavors blended extremely well. Overall I am totally impressed with the creativity and quality of the food as well as the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. If I’m ever again in Bolzano, which I hope! I will absolutely be back. Thank you again for everything!More
