I found Da Vic on Trip Advisor and it was everything and more. Prior to visiting the restaurant Vic and I emailed back and forth regarding our reservation. Once we were seated he greeted us and remembered me from our email correspondence. The food was...delicious. It seemed to be a "neighborhood" restaurant with a ton of "regulars." We loved our entire meal. Shrimp wrapped in phyllo dough is a must. Definitely visit when in Milan.More
We had a wonderful evening with excellent food delivered by a superb team of friendly and helpful staff directed by an outstanding chef that personally showed up and shook hands for saying good-bye. One of the VERY BEST restaurants we EVER went to.
Excellent dinner at the end of our 6th visit to Milano. The restaurant is located in a pleasant district within a 5-8 minutes walk from Amendola metro station on a quiet street. The welcome was cordial by the owner and the staff did everything to...make us feel comfortable. Above all the meal was one of the best we have had non only in Milano but in whole Italy. The cuisine is Italian with emphasis on fish dishes. The restaurant has a refined ambiance and appeared to be patronized by the locals. Pricing of dishes and wine in relation to quality is reasonable. Definitely worth a short metro trip from the center of town where we stayed.More
This lovely restaurant was an extraordinary find. The service was fantastic. The menu had plenty of choices and I wanted to try everything. What we did try was all outstanding (zucchini blossoms stuffed with ricotta, perfect Pacherri pasta, veal cheeks that clearly were spent tons...of time on, and a rolled fish dish I can’t explain but ate it all). In short, perfetto. Bravo Vic and thank you for your stop by the table.More
A very nice restaurant, especially their spaghetti, which is really delicious, and I miss it very much now. The staff are very nice, and they will introduce the food and wine to you in detail. The chefs are all very nice, and they will ask...every customer if they are good or not. They are very friendly. I will definitely go to this restaurant again when I go to Milan.More
Would not know wbout this place if it wasn't for meeting one of the waiters in a pub. Went the for two businness dinners and the food was amazing. 7 course meal, and every single dish was amazing. Wine pairing also spot on. Highly recommend...and I will be sure to go back, whenever I am back in Milan. At second dinner we also did have quite a picky eater, but the staff made sure for him to have best experience possible and he was delighted.More
The food is really excellent and the service warm and familiar. Definitely worth to visit. Some Of the best food we have had in Milan.
We took a Carosello di Mare as starter to share (very nice the anchovies Milanese-style with Balsamic reduction), two first dishes that were simply amazing (Enigma & La Gricia e il Mare). Vary tasty and high quality ingredients, well balanced dish, not an easy task...considering that the ingredients were pretty savoury. We would have order immediately another portion of them. The tarte tatin was a bit "revised" but served hot and the taste was good. Nice Passito di Pantelleria too! We will return!More
Wow, this restaurant was only 10 minutes from hotel. It had great reviews so I thought I would check it out. I got there right when they opened, and they were gracious enough to find me a seat since I didn't have a reservation. Every...table was already reserved, so please get a reservation first. The service was great and I followed the advice of my server as to which dishes where the most popular. I had the stuffed zucchini flowers (yummy), 'La gricia e il mare' which was a Spaghetti alla chitarra with Tropea red onion stewed in marsala wine, pork cheek, shrimps and pecorino cheese (some of the best pasta I've ever had), and I finished off with a tiramisu (which was infused with Guinness). Great local red wine and a limoncello to finish off the evening. If you go here you will not be disappointed!More
We ate the most delicious dinner at da Vic! The service was superb, the presentation was excellent and the owner himself took time out to see how the food was! Definitely will return
I have been to this restaurant multiple times with my wife and it is always wonderful. This is actually my second review of Da Vic. I initially thought there was no need to write a second review because my first was also very positive, however...it is rare for me that each visit to a restaurant is always better than the last; so I was compelled to hail this lovely restaurant a second time. The food here is delicious and of the perfect portion size. As for wine I was stuck between a Riesling from Mosel, Germany and one from Alto Adige, clearly staff here encouraged me to go for wine from the latter, and wow, am I glad I did. It was perfect with our food. I really really like the staff at this establishment, they’re very courteous and professional. They made us feel at home and were very patient with us. The chef (who I believe is also the owner) is a humble and gracious host, always coming out to check on guests. Da Vic will always be a regular pit stop for us whenever we’re in Milan. I suggest you follow suit, you won’t regret it.More
small restaurant , nice atmosfere , very efficient service, good food and excellent seafood . close to the fair area worth a visit .
The place looks rather traditional with a limited number of tables but the standard of its service is indeed high with very knowledgeable yet discreet service always willing to offer a piece of advice, if welcome. The food is excellent with innovative recipes based on...traditional and high quality raw materials. Definitely an experience worth doing at a price which, if not cheap, seams consistent with what you get.More
Great food. We tried Florentine Steak seafood and spaghetti for our second course. They were excellent. Best food that we ever had in Italy including appetizer and dessert. The manager Maurizio and his staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The dishes that they recommended...were just superb.More
