Clean and well run. Friendly staff. Lunch was ok, lacked the flavors so readily available in this town.

A great place for aperitivo (happy hour). They put on a really nice aperitivo "buffet" - it's not really meant to be dinner, but for the price of a drink you can have a nice snack or light dinner, depending on your appetite. The folks...are friendly and it's a fun little place. I had some very fantastic dinners at Picari, I had the fortune of visiting my friends on the evening they had booked Picari dedicated to fish. I normally don't eat fish.....it was fantastic!!! This place in the heart of Modena just five minutes from Piazza Grande and the cathedral (Duomo) is a great favourite with bank employees and staff from the nearby University looking for a light lunch. They have a great choice of pasta dishes, one or...two meat and fish dishes, nice fresh salads, fruit salads and desserts. It is not really a place that attracts many tourists, but the clientele consists mainly of people who work in the vicinity. The fresh food, friendly service, relaxed atmophere and reasonable prices mean that most of the customers are regulars. Highly recommended.More
