This place is fantastic. Their menu is well marked, and the staff is kind and helpful. Particularly enjoyed the vegan gnocchi. We will be back!

We had and amazing time. Our waitress Laura was incredibly kind and helpful, also there were plenty of vegan and vegetarian options including great vegan spaghetti carbonara! Great atmosphere, very cozy and inviting. We left the place very full and satisfied for a cheap and...fair price. I Definitely recommend this restaurant!More

We were delighted to find this restaurant on The Fork and near to our apartment. From the time we arrived until we left, we were treated exceedingly well by the staff. The food was freshly prepared and beautifully presented. My husband enjoyed the Saltimbocca alla...Romana with roasted potatoes and sautéed spinach. I had to try the Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe con Carciofi Croccaniti - which was pecorino cheese and pepper on homemade squared spaghetti with crunchy artichokes. Oh my, it combined two of my favorites: Cacio e Pepe and fried artichokes. Mark and Maria Antonietta saw to our every need. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Grazie! We enjoyed this restaurant so much we went back for a second time. We were spoiled by the service and attention of Stefania and Valerio. They really went all out to make sure that we were comfortable, warm, and had a quiet spot to enjoy our dinner. (It was raining cats and dogs outside.) We feasted on Focaccia Semplice, Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe, Fettuccine al ragu, Saltimbocca alla Romana with roasted potatoes and sauteed spinach. My husband had a Millefogli for dessert which is a Thousand leaves cake with custard cream, dark chocolate drops and whipped cream. It was so decadent and delicious. The next time we return to Rome, we will definitely be coming back to Origano.More

Wonderful restaurant with a friendly staff and delicious food at a decent price point. I was traveling solo and stopped in to order to-go. As a female dining solo, some restaurants can be intimidating, they may seat you at an awful table location, or they...mansplain. Not so at Origano. As soon as I walked in, the atmosphere was bright and welcoming so I decided to dine in. Had an excellent meal experience, no awkwardness, and the food was so good that I went back again during my stay in Rome. I ordered the amatriciana. The guanciale was perfectly cooked, tender with a bit of crisp. I ate at a highly rated famous restaurant on the same visit where the guanciale was soggy and chewy. I look forward to dining there again on my next visit. This restaurant is a gem!More

We had a great experience both times we visited. The food was delicious and the service was super friendly. The fettuccine ragù and pinsa-style pizza capricciosa were both very tasty.

Origano is one of those special restaurants you find in the center of Rome that, while located directly in the center, still offers typical Roman cuisine of high quality and for an affordable price. I tried one of my favorite Roman dishes, the amatriciana, and...it was truly delicious. Not only that, the portion size was very generous and I certainly plan to come back for more. One great thing about Origano also is that they offer vegetarian and vegan options as well. As a meat lover I normally opt for other dishes but it is this variety that makes Origano special. All in all, I’m very glad I found out about this restaurant because it is always great to have a truly authentic option when you find yourself in the center of Rome!More

If you have to choose just one restaurant to visit in Rome & you don't want to leave disappointed - Origano is the best place to go. For starters, the COVID-19 restrictions - they follow proper safety measures, so you don't have to be concerned...about it. Second thing is the way they serve you. I can talk about the customer service for years - I'm impressed by the commitment of the owner of this place. She's the most generous, the kindest person we've met during our stay in Rome - after I gave my compliments to the chef, she offered us a shot of espresso and during our second visit we were greeted with a large smile & a limoncello. The customer service was the friendliest (but still - not intrusive, which is important). Now, let's get to the food. I wish I could take the whole restaurant with me to my country. This place offers options for meat-eaters & vegans. Equality is the key - the same size of portions, the same meal options. You won't feel excluded. The list of allergens is available, so you won't leave this place puffed like a blowfish. I'll just keep it short - my partner ordered pizza & lasagne, which he could summarize as finding a roman gems. I've ordered the same thing twice: risotto ai carciofi. The levels of taste were a pleasure to my palate. We're in love with Origano. Grazie, Paula & JakubMore
