Ingenious recovery of a warehouse of over 900 m2 (the architects who took care of it about ten years ago also won an award) from which a fashionable place was created that welcomes us from morning to late at night. The creation of different rooms with more intimate spaces makes the place truly pleasant, even if the conversation is somewhat affected by the live music, a curse and a delight. When booking you have to choose between the pizzeria or restaurant department and I don't like this practice, which is now frequent, very much. I had dinner with friends in the restaurant section. The possibility of choosing a half portion was appreciated but we who took full portions would have appreciated the plate being a little fuller, I took pumpkin ravioli with walnuts and gorgonzola fondue, good but just ten in total (and not very large ). Then a slice of chocolate cake with orange and mint sauce, very pleasant. With a bottle of South Tyrolean Sauvignon (correctly brought to the table with an ice bucket) and water we spent just over 30 euros each eating first courses and desserts. Complicated parking, take this into account if you have to be on time ;-)

We returned to this local area to try the Pizzeria and I must admit that this time too, they didn't do badly at all. The decor and the welcome of the waiters were always pleasant and positively surprised us. With my partner we ordered some fried appetizers and two pizzas (one high Naples style and one low Rome style). Honestly, we enjoyed all the courses and, as I was looking for a good Neapolitan pizza, I found it tastier than many others I tasted in Rome. If I really have to find a flaw, I would suggest organizing yourself with mugs for medium beers of at least 0.40 cl. ..those 0.30 glasses of Birra del Borgo can't be seen!

Nice place chosen because it is very close to the hotel where we were staying, we went for dinner with fried appetizers (good) carbonara (good) craft beer and dessert, what we appreciated most was the possibility of half portions already proposed on the menu and so with I didn't feel guilty about the dessert 🤪, fairly regular service. Having enjoyed our stay we returned the next day for lunch, honestly we were a bit disappointed: firstly they didn't do half portions, secondly the pizza with a bit heavy crust, slow service so much so that we had to leave without coffee because they had a little It took us a long time to serve us, but above all there was a queue of 18 people at the checkout to pay, which made us even more late. Better for dinner than lunch, but I still recommend it

I booked this place to celebrate my birthday with friends. First of all the staff is very attentive and accomodating already from the moment you book the table. I sent a booking request for 14 people on Sunday evening and Fabio called me back on Monday morning to finalize the details. I ended up changing the number of guests twice (10, then 8) via e-mail, and got a reply everytime "OK, no problem, see you Thursday night). On Thursday evening we ended up being only 6!! I felt embarassed and apologetic but the waiter was smiling and attentive and just "No problem " :-) Inside there's a nice counter where you can have drinks while you wait. We tried the Fluviale beer, which is pretty good. We got a great table outside, spacious and distanced from other tables. The place was very busy and still we got our great pizzas and beers fast, followed by amazing supplí. They even brought a nice tiramisú with a candle and chanted happy birthday!! The courtyard is really nice, spacious and quiet, away from all the hustle and bustle of the Testaccio neighbourhood. Great venue, great food, great service from booking to dessert, what more can you ask for? Congratulations to all the team @Porto Fluviale for making it a great evening!!

Exactly two years ago, I had a bad experience with the burgers at Eataly (a nearby shop and restaurants place) and it was so bad that I wrote a review about Eataly's burger section, saying "...go next door to Porto Fluviale and see how they make burgers" Well, well, well, It is not the case anymore. I have been to Porto Fluviale since they opened and over the years the consistency has been remarquable, you could not fail that place even when it was extremely busy...until now. I probably tried all of their dishes aver the years and was never disappointed. Every dish was pretty high standard and the burgers used to be refined and made with care with a bunch of innovative dips like ginger salsa. However, the Porto Fluviale that I used to know is no longer as they lost it big time. My lunch today was poor and bland. Both the pasta and the burger arrived cold, we had to send the pasta back. They used to have a selection of groovy burgers and change the menu for some basic uninspired ones. Gone is their refined burgers and funky salsa as today was worthy of airport food. And as if that was not bad enough, even their famous crispy potato chips had a nasty taste of old cooking oil. The service however was still fine but what an utter disappointment as this was a great place. Every time I have been to PF and when it was time to pay, the manager would asked me "how did it go today" and I would reply "good, as always", however today no-one asked me that question and maybe it was for the best.

We are sorry that your last experience was disappointing. It is essential for us that our menu is always fresh and innovative, but in the last months we had to reduce our selection slightly, due to the current health situation. Hopefully we will return to full capacity soon and be able to offer the variety of choices that always made us stand out. We hope to see you again in the future.

We saw this place from the outside and directly wanted to go try it out. The service was very nice, welcoming and helpful. Especially our waitress Valentina explained us everything on the menu and gave us a very delicious recommendation for what to order. Food was also typically Italian and very good. We are probably going to visit again! :-)

I live in the area and keep coming back to Porto Fluviale. It really is hard to beat. It's great value, there's a good selection of food at reasonable prices, the pizzas are excellent and the atmosphere is always lively. The staff are pretty friendly too. I had a friend staying for a few days and since she loved it so much that we went two nights in a row. We were lucky to have the same waitress both nights, the lovely Giulia, who even remembered our order from the night before. It was so good that we just had the same again. Brava Giulia! Keep up the good work guys :)

You can't wait an hour and a half for a pizza, because in order to make money you also take away on Saturdays and therefore force customers to have a terrible experience! Waiters in difficulty forced to invent this excuse...BAD! We will never return

Location in decline, decadence in every sauce. 1- The poorly functioning women's bathroom, with the soap dispenser dismantled, one of the two shower heads for drying hands out of order, a faulty tap with a continuously open jet (accompanied by a "faulty" sign) imagining the waste of water gives you chills. 2-with reservation, (just 10 minutes late for which we apologized!) they offer us two unsuitable tables: one close to the counter where the barman was (the one we then chose, where practically in correspondence there was the drip from the air conditioner which was leaking water as it condensed and got us wet all evening) and the other literally in the middle of the passage between the living room and kitchen, close to a column. 3-the waitress who served us (light eyes, very pretty) was apathy and arrogance personified, super lazy and with zero empathy, she seemed to make you think that her shift wasn't over yet, not caring in the slightest about any of her tables, without ever asking how dinner was going, in total indifference. He also responded forcefully to clarifications on dishes and beers, almost seeming as if he was doing us a favor by answering. Truly, if I had to choose to give a rating to the service it would be zero: as non-existent as the bread, oil, salt and soy sauce which, having ordered a poke salad, I at least expect him to ask me if I wanted it or not. No question about whether we wanted sweets or coffee or a bitter if not for a boy who was truly the only thing I would save from dinner, who gave us a minimum of attention (but always at our request) and in the end after 20 minutes he managed to bring us the bitter taste that both of us had forgotten. The boy apologized for the others showing embarrassment and discomfort. 4-abundant staff for a large location like this but completely inadequate and out of place, the manager was completely absent and had no kind of insight into the evening or the situation, he limited himself to giving us the bill without any comment on how it had gone the evening, in this case fortunately for him because I really would have had many things to say but I preferred to leave a comment here, in the hope that it could be useful as food for thought, as I too am a restaurateur in Rome, underlining a lack of attention, a carelessness, slowness, imprecision and uncommon arrogance. 5-biblical waiting time for food, a painful wait for anything, and it was a Thursday evening, if it had been a weekend I can't imagine. 6-salty bill for what we ate, in a very long time, mignon portions and totally insipid flavors without any significance. Very disappointed, I had been there years ago and I liked everything from the staff to the food, and I can say being in the sector that there are many things to review. It's really a shame to have potential and waste it like this.

Last day of a week Rome and we had the best experience over here. Maurizio was the host that helped us and he was funny and gave us the best service that we could wish for. We had cocktails to start with and some delicious focaccia with Rosemary, balsamico vinegar and the best pizza:s we ve had in Rome. Also they have such a nice dessert selection, they serve them in a smaller size or a bigger size. Tip: go for the bigger one, even though you are full. They are delicious. The only thing that we're dissapointed about is: that it was our last day in Rome and cant go again. Even though we were tourist, they treated us as guests and thats was something that we really missed in Rome. This place is a real gem for us and we hope you will get the same experience as we had. Enjoy ❤️

First off, nice location, quick and friendly waiters, I find some prices a little exaggerated. I ordered a high vegetarian one, they gave me pizza without any flavor with a jumble of vegetables thrown on top without a minimum order for plating. It wasn't clear exactly which ingredients were on it, I'm just sorry I didn't take a photo, it would have made it more and the pizza chef would have realized. I'm sorry to give this opinion, the environment is pleasant.

I don't understand some of the negative reviews, sometimes there can be a long service time, even bad food, but just tell your waiter and a solution will be found. Personally, it's the fourth time I've been back in a short time and every time I've had a good time, dishes with excellent flavours, a non-trivial choice with menus also appetizing for the palate and the idea, a decent selection of beers and wines. At the end of the meal, a cocktail at the bar (if you want you can also eat directly at the counter) with the guidance of Luca (known personally tonight after other times in which we had exchanged only a few words), a barman who tries to understand the taste and desire of the customer by guiding him in his choice. The rest is done by the art of those behind the counter, the movements are sometimes hypothesized. The price in general is perhaps a little high, perhaps not. It seems right to me given the area, and given the attention to some things, all in all it fits. Often you don't just pay for the food, the service, the welcome, the friendliness and the treatment also have their own cost and must be paid for, otherwise there are other restaurants and pizzerias around, imagine that.

And today we've eaten at the river port 5 times! And every time it proves exceptional. If this isn't enough to make you understand that the place deserves more than 5 stars then I'll add that: the place is welcoming, lively and clean, the staff are very kind and competent and the pizza (whether you choose the Neapolitan or Roman dough doesn't change the goodness) it is amazing, perfectly leavened, cooked in a wood oven and seasoned with high quality ingredients. It's clear that the pizza chef really knows what he's doing. Not least are the fried foods. The cod fillet is especially superb, featuring a nice crunchy gold-coloured batter that encloses a very soft, fragrant and never salty cod fillet. Okay, let's also praise the suppli whose mozzarella is so stringy that "you can make a phone call to Australia". Excellent desserts. Tonight the apple pile with pistachio ice cream (it was the first time I ate it) made me dream of America and the tiramisu knocked on the doors of heaven. But we owe the credit for so much enthusiasm not only to the pizza chef, the chef and the pastry chef but also to our waiter Francesco who pampered us with his kindness and above all patience as we were at a table of 19 people. Thanks to everyone we had a great time as always. We will return hungrier than ever!

Charming industrial looking watering hole and restaurant. Fantastic Hugo prepared with a hint of ginger cordial by Anton and Giorgio, served with great ice cubes which took ages to melt so didn’t water the cocktail down. Definitely a must if you visit Rome.

Let me start by saying that 3/5 is a generous rating, considering that I don't think I will return, but it is the right amount of credit for a very good pizza and fried food (with some exceptions). 1) we booked at 9.30pm and we sat down at 10.10pm, after 40 minutes of: "3 minutes and come in", I can't help but take this into account. 2) Restaurant prices, crazy mark-ups especially on drinks and fried foods. This is not the way to do business, and the biggest competitor in that area knows this well. 3) Given the above, I would like to point out that small draft beers from €6.50 and up - especially at friends' tables - will not be purchased by anyone. 4)Once in the situation referred to in point 3, the only way left to drink beer is to take the large one (1lt) to share. And you only have the same water containers to carry it (as confirmed by your room operators) (similar to old-fashioned milk bottles), which have as their only reason for use the loss of gas from the drink, there is no 'it was a way of not drinking "natural" beer. Having said all this, the high price (€35 each) could theoretically be considered high, but the level must go hand in hand. At the moment what you are offering is not up to you, and it's a shame because the pizza was good. Simply put: "you shoot yourself in the foot"
