We went here as did see the place when arriving with the airport bus and it is close to the pyramid and it was a rainy day. Yes, as a rainy day it is a good place to spend some time. They do have some lovely produce to buy, but not everything and that is a bit strange that is such a large shop you can’t find all groceries. The amount of beers they have on offer is amazing though. We still did buy items to bring back and had a lunch there. The lunch was a joke, smallest pizza ever for that price, and pan pizza. The lunch was had at La Birreria where the staff didn’t have a lot of love for their work it seems. Ordered a Peroni nastro azzurro in a bottle (yeah, they do their own beer but Ale is not me) and definitely it did not taste like that, maybe it was old, I complained and they didn’t care, they also didn’t allow our umbrella stroller by the table (it is very small). The ambience in Eataly is great, beautiful store. Will I recommend it? Well if you want to have a look at a pretty and posh store and close by, why not? Eat here…Maybe the other choices are better.

Fun food themed shopping mall, locals clearlt come here too, it's fairly expensive though but rich oppoturnity to buy fresh products. Fun experience, great looking building. Recommended when coming to Rome.

A large exhibition market where you can eat and buy. Open for years, it is now consolidated in this part of Southern Rome. Wide choices on the ground floor of fruit and vegetables, bread, pizza, cheese, milk and yoghurt, cured meats, various delicacies, herbal teas, coffee and even creams and natural organic products for the body. You go up with escalators or elevators to the upper floors where you can appreciate more refined and sectorial gastronomy. Excellent brewery, wine shop, chocolate shop... then you enter the world of fresh meat and fish. Many restaurants. Often events with stands for tastings. Various cooking and pastry-making courses take place on the top floor The proposals are truly inviting... a nice place to spend a pleasant afternoon browsing the products, for a drink or if tempted, conclude with a dinner. Be careful, the prices are a little too high. Ample paid parking and not near the huge building

Eataly in Las Vegas was good but there is no reason to go here when actually in Italy. The restaurant was terrible, lukewarm pasta, waiters who could care less, There is much better, cheaper food all over Rome. It is not in a nice or convenient neighborhood. We were on the Hop on/off bus so decided to come with the promise of discounts and freebies (which weren't actually available). There is a really good selection of Italian products and wine, so if near the train station and crunched for time, maybe this would be a good spot.

Our evening tour bus in Rome stopped here for 70 minutes and my advice us to the night tour, but eat beforehand, as there is nothing else close by like I had hoped. The store is cool to look at, and it’s a great concept with classes and such on the top floor, but the reviews were so accurate. The service was not great (they act like you are a bother from the very start to the end), and I can honestly say that this was our most expensive meal AND worst meal over our 15 nights in Italy. We chose a seafood pasta dish that had a photo by it, which featured mussels and clams on a white sauce. We asked the server who spoke English is this photo this dish, as we wanted mussels and are said yes, but what came was mini-clams (shells were pencil eraser size) anc chewy calamari chunks in a watered down, flavorless, red sauce. The only redeeming thing with the meals were these crispy potato chunks with an aioli. Look at the market, but trust the reviews and do not eat here, as you can get a much better meal somewhere else for half the cost.

I took German guests to the Pizza e Cucina restaurant. Bad idea. We couldn't order the prawns because they cook them without cleaning them. I asked to remove them from the dish and they replied that it is not possible (sic!). We turned to a cutting board, asking to replace the smoked burrata with the normal one and they replied that they only have smoked burrata. My friend ordered spaghetti with unsmoked burrata, but the unsmoked ones can only be served with spaghetti... In the end, I only ordered two side dishes, a watery and tasteless sautéed chicory and Avezzano potatoes, a pretentious proposal that turned out to be rather squalid, as were the other dishes ordered: really nothing special. We then ordered a house draft beer which should have been 500 ml (but who knows... the glass was the same as all the other average beers in Italy of 400 ml and not even overflowing). In this regard, I don't remember it being indicated on the menu, however it is an unfiltered beer and very similar to a weiss, so those who don't like this type of beer should be careful. I would say that, beyond the claims of a place with high-quality Italian cuisine (could anyone imagine prosecuting them for damaging their image? :-)), the place is simply to be avoided.

They gave us a smartbox so we wanted to try the Eataly pizzeria restaurant. There were 9 of us but the Smartbox only included 2 people so the others were paying. Since our arrival, the waiter has treated us with great disdain. Some were late and he pressed us about the arrival of the other guests because otherwise he would have given away part of our table "to make him work" he said, we were shocked by his rudeness even though we had also started eating the appetizer. A truly unpleasant discussion arose, moreover in front of our children, an unprofessional and unpleasant person. Even though some were 15 minutes late, it was only 8pm in the evening and we booked 7 days in advance, the waiter cannot afford to pressure and threaten the guests who are already seated and are eating that if the others do not arrive on time they remove the table. In 35 years I have never seen or experienced anything like this. I find it really shameful! We will never set foot in it again and certainly not many more will. Eataly choose your staff better!

Never again. Pizza "crunchy with extra charge practically inedible, impossible to cut, like biting the sole of your shoes, shame because the toppings were good. Unprofessional staff asking you "did the pizza suck?" And to your complaints he claims that we are the ones who don't understand anything. 18 euros for a pizza + 2 for service Hallucinating.

Very bad experience. On December 29th we decide to do some shopping at Eataly, in Piazzale Ostiense. At the time of payment, the cashier tells us that with the shopping done we are entitled to a 20% discount on the restaurants inside the structure for the entire month of February. For this reason, the same cashier staples our receipt to a flyer certifying the right to the discount, inviting us to keep both in order to take advantage of the promotion. This evening (February 11th) we decide to take advantage of this discount and go to dinner at Pizza&Cucina, a restaurant located inside the Eataly building. At the time of payment, we hand over the receipt stapled to the flyer and the restaurant cashier tells us that unfortunately it is not valid as that type of discount should have been given to those who did the shopping in January, while we had done it on December 29th . It's a shame that it was the cashier on December 29th who told us about the promotion and gave us the receipt to show at the restaurant, thus deluding us... anyway, we pay what was requested and decide to go to the reception point in any case, located on the ground floor, in order to represent what happened and report the serious disservice. The man at the reception washes his hands, telling us that he can't do anything since there was probably a "human" error by the cashier who on December 29th had mistakenly given us a discount voucher and who, faced with an error, they can't do anything about this. Basically, at Eataly not only is the customer not always (but perhaps, at this point, I would say never) right, but he also has to pay for the mistakes of his employees. Now, we weren't disappointed by the 8 euro discount (because we're talking about that amount) and fortunately we don't even have to ask for a loan there, but what really bothered us was this washing of our hands with the excuse that the errors " human" (I want to underline the adjective as pointed out several times by the receptionist) can happen and that, when they happen (as in this case), the customer gets angry in that place because they don't care anyway absolutely remedy what happened.

Smartbox for two people. 2 courses + dessert and wine. Beyond the fact that in my pasta with anchovies, although very good because with plenty of breadcrumbs, oil and lemon, not even the presence of anchovies, the Sicilian cannoli without candied fruit, the thing that really needs to be fixed in my opinion is the organisation. Impossible to talk to them on the phone and when you do they tell you different things about where and what you will eat. The guys who work at the restaurant are very kind. Eataly has exorbitant prices both in the restaurants and for the purchase of products and it is worth going there if you want to take a trip as a curious tourist. The same things can easily be found elsewhere at lower prices But if you want a showcase where you can find everything, the trip is worth taking

Going to Eataly to do some shopping and breakfast, I read the program of the new pasta festival. Once upon a time, with a 2 Euro token you could get a taste of pasta to eat on the fly with a saucer and plastic cutlery, or you could get a drink. Now for a taste of pasta, always good for goodness sake, but always served in a saucer and plastic cutlery (now compostable) you need 5 2 Euro tokens. Don't you think you're exaggerating? Ultimately it is a taste of popular cuisine, albeit refined. And then the coffee, why a 2 Euro token when normally Illy coffee costs 1 Euro at the counter?

I have been a customer for years... I have always said that the Eataly pizzeria was among the best in the capital... Until today... Let's order a margherita pizza and a buffalo... They arrive that look identical to us... Never happened in these years... We ask the waiter for explanations and he reassures us on the correctness of the order...it's a shame that the flavor wasn't the same...in the end we understand what was different from all the previous times...they were burnt, so the mozzarella was overcooked, lacked raw oil... the children's menu serves small pizzas (it fits, but it should be indicated on the menu)... We were served at the tables of the students of the hotel school who, for goodness sake, have to learn... but he wasn't even able to open a bottle of coke... in the end for a bill of 71 euros for 2 adults and 2 children ( not even a cent less, after pointing out that the pizzas were burnt), for me now, they're fine as they are...

incredibly low quality of pizza. Undercooked, ingredients thrown on top without seasoning, burnt edges but not cooked in the center. Raw tomato and mozzarella with acidic flavour. daisies at 9/10 euros scarce. Vegetable gardener with vegetables and pumpkin burnt at the edges without flavour, stuff from the fridge? Tables stacked together to accommodate lots of people close together because the waiters don't want to move around too much. The famous closed veranda! I asked the room manager and he told me that they only open it if the central room is full and because it is far away! 1 meter away? You don't want to work, you just want to earn! I read that during covid (2020) it changed management and it shows! terrible quality and very high prices for no reason, even the supermarket has meaningless costs even for simple fruit. Baked bread has a sour taste and a sticky crumb, certainly, having experience in bakeries, it is caused by poorly preserved and poor quality ingredients! terrible experience!

By booking in advance we had chosen a menu with two courses and dessert. Disappointingly, we waited half an hour for the starter and another forty minutes for the spaghetti with clams (inedible, too salty). Tiramisu with very little cream and ladyfingers. All for €67. Never again

Slow and messy service, unprepared and often non-existent waiters, too long a wait between one course and another, we had to remind the waitress several times to bring us what we had ordered. Food seasoned poorly and plated in a rather approximate manner, without due care. Quite high bill, not in line with the standard and the service received. It's a shame because the raw material is of good quality.
