About
Anacleto and Tina Bleve, from Cerfignano in Salento, have been living in Rome since 1963. La Bottega del Vino, in Via Santa Maria del Pianto, which they created in the early 70s, was probably the first place in Rome to combine the culture of wine and gourmet food with their well-known art of welcoming and hosting. Casa Bleve picked up, multiplied and in some way “specialized” this tradition, becoming a focal point, in the heart of historic Rome for Connoisseurs, lovers of quality food, social life and conviviality which stems from the discovery of the best wine and food choices, not only from our country, but from all over world, beyond today’s practices and worldly customs. I have been here with some Italian friends, stunning experience, so luxury and sophisticated, and the price not so bad. If you are a returning customer you can rent a space in the old cave to store your own selected wines, to be sure to...find your own bottles when you are back to eat. Very impressive, indeed.More

I have to rank this restaurant as one of the best I have ever been to. The food was delicious; I had the beef cheek with potato puree and my partner had Tagliolini pasta with lamb ragout. Both were cooked to perfection and the waiting...staff were attentive without troubling you. We were offered complimentary prosecco on arrival, the waiter recommended an excellent glass of red wine to accompany my main course (which was not expensive) and then we were given complimentary dessert wine afterwards. My partner had the bitter chocolate cake and pink pepper ice-cream for this dessert, enjoying the combination and flavours. My only criticism was that my pistachio nuts parfait was too hard, obviously straight from the freezer, which made it difficult to eat. Overall though, an amazing experience within a stunning setting that I would happily repeat if I ever return to Rome.More

We had dinner at Casa Bleve based on the Trip Adviser reviews and its proximity to our hotel (Palazzo Navona). We had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is comfortable, with high ceilings and nicely spaced tables. All of the staff were very helpful and attentive...and the owner was very professional and engaging in assuring that everyone had an outstanding dining experience. The wine selection was incredible and the food was delicious. For appetizers we had Burrata pugliese con confettura di frutta and Insalata di polpo e carciofi. For the main course we had Coda di rospo in guazzetto con capperi e olive. We were too stuffed to try dessert but they looked equally tasty. We would certainly return to Casa Bleve and recommend it highly.More

My wife and I visited Casa Bleve for Christmas Eve dinner. I didn’t know much about the restaurant before we arrived, but I was blown away by the food and the service of the staff. They poured champagne for my wife and I start. We...shared an appetizer of prawns, cherry tomatoes and potatoes. We ordered a ravioli dish filled with burrata also served with prawns. We shared Tagliolini with beats lamb, rosemary and pecorino. For our main course we shared the Beef Cheek marinated in Nebbiolo with mash potatoes and fried celery. I had never tasted beef cheek before and I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing this dish tasted. The Bronte pistachio and Nougat semifreddo dessert rounded out an amazing meal. It would a wonderful experience and we will certainly dine here again upon our return to Rome. Thank you for a great dinner .More

We celebrated our family Christmas dinner here and a had a wonderful evening. Food was excellent, the space is beautiful and the service was impeccable. After a very bad restaurant experience the previous evening (at another Roman restaurant), this was a brilliant and satisfying contrast....Strongly recommend Casa Bleve!More

Friends in the US recommended Casa Bleve when we planned our trip to Rome. We are so glad we took their advice. The service was outstanding, Our server was happy to suggest wines for our multi course dinner for 6. Tina the owner was gracious...enough to put together a sample of the appetizers that were each one delicious and interesting. The pasta, main course and dessert were all equally delicious. The interior of the restaurant is very comfortable and beautiful. Put this on your list of restaurants to visit when in Rome. I am already planning a trip back next year! Make sure to make a reservation in advance.More

A great location and entourage. Service was super prompt and professional with great wine advice after a luke warm welcome. Dishes cannot really be defaulted except for the sand residue in the turbot dish for my wife. It felt rushed as dishes appear at a...lightning fast speed. Beyond the good service, we weren’t overly impressed with the food, which we know can be outstanding or mediocre at best across Rome. Mixed feelings about an evening that could’ve been better.More
