I have a simple test as to whether a restaurant gets my 5 star rating. It has to be a place we thoroughly enjoyed, wouldn't hesitate to return to, where the food and service were delightful and where we felt appreciated and genuinely welcomed. Casa...Bleve meets all those standards. It was good to see it filled with local and likely repeat customers and still feel we were valued for being there. My wife and I had three different dishes each, sharing of course, and everyone was to a high standard. The wine list is extensive, the prices are fair for the artistry and high quality ingredients, the setting is elegant but not pretentious. The waitstaff is truly professional. Starters, fish and dessert were all beautifully and somewhat simply plated. We have many more places to try in Rome, but this one is definitely a keeper. Clearly, there are more creative and cutting edge venues. But this is one that raises comfort food to a very high level. If we lived here, we would be regulars.More

Bleve is by far our favorite restaurant in Rome. Not only is the food creative and delicious, not only the place is stunning, but the owner Tina and her family are just a piece of our heart. We have been going there for more than...20 years, since they started with a small shop in the ghetto we used to go every Sunday. Long live to Tina and the Bleve family!More

We were very fortunate to secure a last minute booking at this fabulous restaurant. I mentioned it was my partner's 50th and they could not have done more to make him feel special. The food was spectacular - so tasty and fresh, and the wine...the waiter picked for us was fantastic. We were even fortunate enough to have a tour of the wine cellar. Great food, great wine, great service. They went the extra mile and left us with an evening my partner and I will always remember, thanks!!More

We ate here as a birthday celebration and the food, the wine and the service meant that we had a memorable evening. The evening’s special of pasta with porcini mushrooms and the braised beef cheeks were particularly good.

We had dinner here our first night in Rome! It was amazing! Some of the best Italian food I had. Our waiter went out of his way to help us pick out a fabulous bottle of wine. The kids even loved it and they can...be picky eaters! Will definitely come back next time we are in Rome!More

Pros: I love that they give you Prosecco as soon as you sit down. The food and wine were really good. Good service. I’m vegan and I had the grilled vegetables. They were delicious. My husband is not vegan and loved his meal as well....Cons: The pictures on Trip Advisor make the main dining room look bigger than it is. It’s actually much smaller in person. My only suggestion would be to list the wine by the glass prices on the menu.More

I have been here with some Italian friends, stunning experience, so luxury and sophisticated, and the price not so bad. If you are a returning customer you can rent a space in the old cave to store your own selected wines, to be sure to...find your own bottles when you are back to eat. Very impressive, indeed.More

I have to rank this restaurant as one of the best I have ever been to. The food was delicious; I had the beef cheek with potato puree and my partner had Tagliolini pasta with lamb ragout. Both were cooked to perfection and the waiting...staff were attentive without troubling you. We were offered complimentary prosecco on arrival, the waiter recommended an excellent glass of red wine to accompany my main course (which was not expensive) and then we were given complimentary dessert wine afterwards. My partner had the bitter chocolate cake and pink pepper ice-cream for this dessert, enjoying the combination and flavours. My only criticism was that my pistachio nuts parfait was too hard, obviously straight from the freezer, which made it difficult to eat. Overall though, an amazing experience within a stunning setting that I would happily repeat if I ever return to Rome.More

The owners are there to meet and greet and ensure everything is perfect. A...very special Birthday I won’t forget.More

We had dinner at Casa Bleve based on the Trip Adviser reviews and its proximity to our hotel (Palazzo Navona). We had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is comfortable, with high ceilings and nicely spaced tables. All of the staff were very helpful and attentive...and the owner was very professional and engaging in assuring that everyone had an outstanding dining experience. The wine selection was incredible and the food was delicious. For appetizers we had Burrata pugliese con confettura di frutta and Insalata di polpo e carciofi. For the main course we had Coda di rospo in guazzetto con capperi e olive. We were too stuffed to try dessert but they looked equally tasty. We would certainly return to Casa Bleve and recommend it highly.More
