Excellent. Wemt for a birthday treat and really emjoyed it. Exellent ambiance. Would definitely go back. The sashimi was fabulous
Been there for New Year's eve dinner. Posh atmosphere and great food. All seafood/fish dishes were excellent, tempura so and so. Some dishes are heavily European influenced, but still enjoyable. Do not miss their desserts, chocolate truffles with sesame seeds are a treat. All together...recommended.More
I really think it is one of the best sushi places in Madrid and it has a very wide variety too chose from.
It was a fantastic dinner, we enjoyed the food and the service provided. No doubt it’s worth it! Best regards
Food was good without being fantastic, service is good thanks to relentless Japanese hostess. Nigiris well served, had some flexibility to accommodate our requests. Price on the mid-high range. Fair atmosphere.
Amazing service, amazing food, great lighting and atmosphere. Very small and exquisite, just like a good, honest-to-God, toro nigiri. Recommend over Miyama and Kabuki for sure.
We are visiting to Spain from Japan for vacation. Today we ate lunch at TXATEI. We chose lunch course of 15 euro. They consist of miso soup, 1st dish, mein dish, and end with dessert or coffee. We enjoyed every dish very much! It was...like we were in Japan!! We would like to come back if we have any chance in the future!!More
We are still in the table just waiting for our bill, more than ten minutes for that, and more than 20 minutes to clear our table since our last bite. Nice quality but the service has messed up our dinner. We won't come back for...sure.More
We went here for Sunday lunch on the basis of good reviews, when our favourite Japanese restaurants were either fully booked or closed. One attraction was that the chef has his roots in Osaka, in the Kansai region famed for its cooking. However, the first...disappointment was that there was not a single Kansai dish on the menu; it was downhill from there. We had salmon sashimi which was passable but not exceptional, avocado and cheese tempura (one of the chef's specialities) which tasted greasy, grilled beef which was neither tender nor tasty, eal nigiri and prawn/vegetable tempura which were just OK, and boiled white rice with a veal topping which was awful. A daigingyo Sake was good but expensive. We felt that the only authentic aspect of our visit was the Japanese hostess who was extremely pleasant and welcoming.More
I rarely write reviews of restaurants in Madrid, as most restaurants here are fantastic and everybody knows it. It's almost hard to find bad food here. But as a sushi fanatic who has encountered difficulty finding traditional sushi at reasonable prices in this otherwise culinary...mecca of a city, I felt it my obligation to report that this place is simply INCREDIBLE. Their lunch menu is extremely well priced, and I could not get over the quality and freshness of the sashimi and nigiri. My friend and I were also both shocked at the California Roll, something I hardly ever even bother with; it was without a doubt the best one I'd ever had! The service is extremely good; everyone who works there is a gem. And the restaurant itself has the décor of a typical, slightly upscale but totally understated sushi restaurant in NYC, which I love. It has become my go-to sushi place in Madrid. If you love sushi and don't want to spend a fortune, this is your place!More
We ate in Txatei during our stay in Madrid. I think we found rthe eal japanese restaurant! They have a Japanese chef and it's like we were eating in Japan although some dishes are adapted for the spanish custamers. They are useing the first class...bland of japanese rice. We really enjoy the dinner.More
It was a perfect night out with my boyfriend we ordered first Japanese beer and after that a bottle of Albariño white wine which was recommended to us by the waitress. I just walked in and didn't expect the food much. However, the chef and owner are Japanese and they have a good enough food over my expectation. Recommended for Asians who loves Japanese food.
It is a nice restaurant, the service is very gentle and fast The food is very good and quite surprising with good quality I will totally go back
