Restaurant a taxi ride out of the centre. Beautifully decorated. We decided not to go for the tasting menu but our choice of three courses still came with extra little tasters. Fabulous bread with oil and butter set the tone for the rest of the...meal. Couldn't fault anything.More

A great experience in a wonderful restaurant: Great service combined with awesome food, two fantastic show cookers and high quality. The menu was great: a trip through the world. Also very good wine selection and good recommendations. Definitely worth it.

Everything went well at first. Great service. Desserts were awesome and great value. Nonetheless, right after we finished and started heading out my wife started having mild indigestion and aches (and has no allergies). Not how we expected to finish the eve nore what we...expected from the quality of food from such restaurant.More

We are sorry for your experience but no other costumer felt indisposed that day or any other for a long time. If you are back in Madrid please let us know.

Fabulous place with a level of service that is second to none. My take on the food served here is that it’s very good but it’s not fantastic. There were a couple of flaws that I detected. The dishes are not overly creative (giving that...this is Spain so the bar is very high) and the value for money in my opinion is on the declining side of things. That being be said I have no doubts this place has all of the merits for its only Michelin star. Why not two? At first sight you would think so, especially for the quality of the service, but maybe the judges are seeing the same things as I did re the food. Will I come back? Yes. Will I repeat on the same dishes? Definitely not.More

Went there with my family as a group of 13 people for my mum’s birthday. The restaurant prepared a room without charging us extra. Service was great but could be better if the servers could realise that I am left-handed and rearrange the table setting...for me. For foods, we went for a la carte because most of us are small eaters. Since the restaurant emphasised on its local natural ingredients, I feel like for both my entree (egg from Mos, roe of Choco) and main dish (tuna) were a bit over salted. The sauce and dressing don’t compliment the food. Its probably just me who didn’t enjoy the food. The rest seemed to enjoy their foods. I tried my mum’s waffle or foie. It was exceptional.More

What used to be one of the newcomers to the top quality restaurant scene in Madrid has rapidly become a laureated venue of tranquility and quality from the hands of the former chef of Zalacain (first Michelin three stars in Madrid).

I have been lucky enough to visit this restaurant a number of times now. It has always been consistently excellent. The staff are always very courteous and attentive. The food is invariably great, particularly the Iberico Ham. Decent decor, being a little muted and unflashy....Great wine list with knowledgeable wine waiters. All in all dependable for a great night out.More

High end Spanish Cuisine Restaurant and Gastronomic Bar with tasting menu and . extensive winery. Definitely known for its culinary excellence. 1 Michelin star. Service is "immaculate", professional, well trained and knowledgeable - crème de la crème. We went for the tasting menu. 10 or...so exquisite dishes of fish, a variety of meats and vegetables followed by delicious desserts. A culinary experience not to be missed.More

Since A'Barra had been awarded a Michelin Star, I had expected the restaurant to provide excellent service, gourmet food, and good-quality wine. My husband and I had dinner at A'Barra, and the meal was very disappointing. My fish appetizer was okay, but the partridge entree...was overcooked and dry. My husband also wasn't happy with his food. And the wine pairings chosen by A'Barra weren't good. The wine didn't complement the food, plus the wine was expensive but tasted cheap, lacking the bouquet and flavor you would expect from good wine. The service was uneven. When we first arrived at the restaurant, the server was polite and attentive, but he seemed inexperienced. Later, when the restaurant became more crowded, we were ignored by the servers and even had to ask for our check several times. When we left the restaurant, we were hungry. The only thing good about the restaurant was the decor--lovely stone floors and interesting light fixtures.More

The restaurant is located in a residential neighborhood. We made reservation for dinner weeks in advance. The food was amazing, the wine recommended by the sommelier was great We had a good time after all .
