Ignore some of these nasty reviews. This place is fabulous. Food was superb Sunday menu 4 course great choice and 22 Euro total price.Unbeatable quality. Nice bread and starter of chicken salad with honey dressing.Absolute delight.Almost a main course size. Followed by Pork medallions with...mushroom sauce with baby carrots.Delicious. A big glass of lovely Sangria and desert Crème Catalan for dessert..Just lovely A very nice Cappuccino and glass of quality red wine as extra. All for under 30 Euros.Unbeatable anywhere. Super friendly weekend atmosphere with attentive staff. Give this place a try .You won’t be disappointedMore
The most unfriendly waiter I have ever met in my life....so rude it was almost comical. Food was just awful. Avoid this place.
Wow! The waiter was so rude it was almost comical. Clearly hates his job. The food was disappointing— my sandwich tasted like it was made a few days ago and warmed up. My husband’s meal was disappointing also.
Disgraceful! We waited 30 mins for a pizza, which was delivered to us burnt. We tried eating a couple of mouthfuls as we'd waited so long but the cheese and the tomato sauce were largely inedible and the ham had charcoal round the edges. We...told our waitress and she sent one of her colleagues to collect the full bill. We refused to pay and the waitress argued that we'd ordered it so we had to pay. She stormed off saying "wait there" and returned to offer 50% off and then shouted at us, in front of a terrace full of diners. I paid for our drinks and we left. We will never return and I suggest you avoid this place if you're reading this.More
Waiting staff appeared disinterested and were slightly offhand. The menus were dirty/ sticky and the cod cannelloni starter touched on being inedible. Salads clearly had tinned black olives and frozen sweetcorn. Very poor and best to avoid. Far better food in the tapas bars around...the market On the positive side, the Waitress did replace my starter when I hadnt realised that it contained raw fish.More
We stopped here on Thursday for lunch and the welcome wasn't exactly great however we decided to persevere as it looked nice inside. We had 5 tapas dishes between 3 of us and the prawns and calamari were the best I've eat for a while....With 4 alcoholic drinks and water the total came to 42.25 euros. Yes they need to up their game when it comes to welcomes but the food was a good quality!More
The menu looked great and the setting is lovely - an old Spanish square. The menu was more expensive than many so we had high expectations. The menu said 2 courses, desert, drink and bread. They didn’t offer bread or drink so we had to...ask. The wait staff were disinterested and talentless. We spoke to them in Spanish but that made no difference. The food was poor except for the goats cheese salad. Lamb and pork dishes were truly awful. Thee tiramisu was tasteless. We spent €60 for two people and it was the worst meal we have ever had in Spain after visiting and owning property here for 40 years.More
We were waiting for 30 minutes to order a drink, we had to pull someone on their sleeve just to order. The air of the waiters is the worst, no smiles, nor costumer friendlyness at all! When given the bill with the drinks, the women...just took the money and didnt give us our change, we had to ask for this ourselves (it was more than 40€ of change)! She basically threw the billplate on the table when she brought the change, while she herself made the mistake. Sadly we didnt read the other reviews beforehand otherwise we wouldve NEVER sat down here. Don't go here if you want a good and comfortable diner/lunch or drink experience.More
Only had a drink here but was shocked by the appalling attitude of the waiter - dismissive, rude and a “god” like complex made for a horrible experience
Great location and menus in multiple languages. Set meals liked great and well priced. I ordered Paella and was told they did not have, they have a large board outside in 6 languages selling the set menu with 5 different Paella choices. Potato Bravas was...poor, basically chips with a side sauce. Main meal took forever to come out and was awfulMore
My mom and I just ate here for lunch. We each ordered a coke, my mom a piece of bread and I ordered a side of fries and 2 fried eggs. The food came out quickly, and we both liked our food. However, the problems...came after eating. I had to ask for the bill multiple times before it was every brought to me. Then, when it did come, I noticed that instead of the two sides I was charged for a hamburger meal, which would normally include a hamburger, fries, and a fried egg. When I inquired about why I was paying for a full hamburger meal despite me not ordering or eating a hamburger, I was told that they don't have a way in the system to put in sides, so they just charge for the full meal anyway. Despite my protests that that made no sense since it was significantly less food, our waitress could not have cared less and kept insisting that that was how it was normally done. Therefore, I said, "well if i'm paying for a hamburger, I want a hamburger". So she - very begrudgingly - agreed to bring us a hamburger to go. A few minutes later she brings us our "hamburger", we pay and leave. Upon arriving back to our hotel, the so-called "hamburger" is a meat patty - no bread, nothing on it - that is too raw to actually eat. So it went to waste anyway. All in all, I would NOT recommend this place as it seems like they are trying to pull things over on tourists and trying to get unsuspecting people to pay more than they should. Despite the fact that I speak Spanish fluently, our waitress was very rude and clearly was hoping we wouldn't notice the discrepancy in the bill.More
There's plenty of restaurants in this part of the historical centre. We chose this one due to the value for money deal: Russian salad, calamari, chips, bread and two small beers (canas) for 12€. We were seated quickly, but took around 15 minutes to take...our order. The calamari was warm enough, chips were lukewarm and the Russian salad was fine. Beer was average. All in all okay for the low price. Staff are friendly and will charge your phone if you ask.More
Been here a few times, in summer and autumn. It is a lovely building, but please be prepared to wait, and sometimes wait longer.
As a local, I strongly DO NOT recommend this place for anything except coffee. I’ve been here maybe 5 times, and it’s a consistently poor service: waiters could use some politeness, and wait time is ridiculously long. Also, 4 out of 5 times the food...was not fresh (think stale croissants and sandwiches kept in a fridge rather than freshly made). Any other place on Plaza la Font would be a better choice. Duh.More
