We ate here one night while staying for four nights at the hotel. It is obviously very convenient for hotel guests. If you are not staying at the hotel, it is well worth the trek up to visit the hotel’s courtyards, gardens and bar. The hotel has beautiful views of San Sebastián, the sea, and Tenerife in the distance. The food and service were perfectly fine. The setting is lovely. No complaints in that regard. If you want something special while in San Sebastián, this fits the bill. Our only complaint is that the atmosphere is very quiet and stiff. I longed for some background music, and I felt like the people next to us could overhear our conversation. Surely they could play some nice traditional Canarian music? Something to make the atmosphere more appealing? We only ate here once because there weren’t multiple things on the menu that we wanted to try, and we found it more fun to walk down into town for dinner and drinks despite the trek back up afterwards. Hint to hotel guests: the bar at the hotel also serves lunch and dinner in case you want something cheaper and more casual. This isn’t immediately obvious. My partner said the club sandwich was good. Our favourite restaurant in San Sebastián was Restaurante Ambigu.

The restaurant is located at a colonial-style hotel that is worth visiting even if you just go there for a drink. The staff was courteous and efficient, and all the food we ordered was delicious. It's not straightforward to reach the hotel by foot (it was a 15 min hike for us), but it was totally worth it.

The food here was ok. Nothing terribly special. The cheese starter was miserable - it was meant to be with fig jam but it literally had a couple of dried figs cut up next to the cheese. The prawns were fresh and tasty, but the pork main was bland and covered in creamy sauce which took anyway any taste that may have remained of the pork. Service was good and the wine very reasonably priced.

We celebrated my birthday there on December 21st, 2023 and invited some of our Canarian family. The table with 7 people was booked for 7:30 p.m. and we arrived there about 10 minutes early. Unfortunately, we couldn't enter the hall yet and walked back and forth in the dark courtyard. Ordering the food was unfortunately complicated because the room was too dark and my son had to help me read the menu. The food came relatively quickly (we were served by about 5 different waiters who lacked comprehensive training in dealing with guests). However, the portions were quite small and the side dishes were sparsely hidden on the plates. I wanted to pay the bill with my American Express credit card. One waiter asked the other if this was possible. Finally, the last one, not very attractive, came along and pointed out that this was difficult and that we should use another means of payment. From a location like the Parador, I would have expected that you could pay with any common credit card. Finally, I have to say that I would have expected more from the food - the prices are unreasonably high. Next time we will choose a different restaurant

The Parador menu (and cafeteria) both offer good food and prompt service although like most of the Canary Island restaurants are light on fruit and veg. Fish was very good and the dessert menu also good. Breakfast was excellent with freshly baked breakfast breads.

A lovely venue at the Parador de La Gomera. The cuisine is rightly proud of serving traditional local dishes besides more conventional, but of course very fine, fare. The prices are a bit high as expected.

We ate in the restaurant 3 times in a week. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, perfectly cooked, and extremely tasty. I had the best squid dish I have had, my wife chose the same rice dish twice as it was so good. Reasonably priced given the high quality food.

If you go to La Gomera it is worth going up to the Parador and eating there. Be careful, walking is a climb of stairs that takes just over 15 minutes. But once you get to the top you find a classic parador, like all the others, but with the peculiarities of the Canarian mansions, and with wonderful patios. The view is fantastic and the living room is spacious and pleasant, The menu is somewhat brief but everything is quite good, without any major new features, rather classic Canarian food, which in itself is not very varied. But the overall experience is perfect, in a quiet and spacious room. The service is very young but very professional and of a very high level. The kitchen is not very fast, but it is a restaurant to do everything calmly, without rushing and enjoy. With wine you get around €50 per person. Highly recommended in my opinion and if I return to the island the visit seems inexcusable.

We ate here twice for dinner and once for lunch while staying at the hotel for a few days. Every course of every meal was an absolute delight, the potato salad with octopus absolutely blew me away. Portions are a good size and while not cheap are certainly good value for money. This was defintely the best food quality of any restaurant we ate at in La Gomera. Service was excellent, every member of staff who we spoke to was wonderful, Judith in particular was excellent. This is definitely one not to miss if you are in San Sebastián.

Excellent hotel. The restaurant and service are very good and the rooms are tidy. I was here over Christmas with my two sons and especially the restaurant staff took very good care of them. We all liked the hotel garden and parrots.

For those who know the concept of paradores in Spain - usually the most beautiful buildings with lousy food and service! Now this was amazing - absolutely perfect food (the banuelos de calamar, arroz caldoso and mousse de miel have a special mention) with simply perfect service along with a beautiful surrounding!!!

This, along with another restaurant in the district, vie for number 1 and number 2 spot on trip adviser. Lovely idyllic hotel setting with beautiful grounds. The food and service was good, but overrated and expensive. Disappointing after all the previous reviews but thinking the majority of the others are probably from hotel guests.

A beautiful building with well appointed and serviced rooms. Wonderful views over the sea. Plenty of choice at a well provided breakfast buffet and interesting dinner menus.

The hotel is a real beauty. Though constructed only about 50 years ago, it looks as a genuine medieval architecture. The surrounding garden is a true botanical beauty. The views on San Sebastián de la Gomera, on Tenerife Teide volcano and Sunrise from behind Tenerife are amazing. The stuff is friendly, the bar and restaurant are high level.
