Very pleasant and tasty restaurant at the earth of Dresden. The food was great, served by a very nice and friendly Lady. You can eat inside in a luxury room, or outside on a beautiful backyard garden.

We went to this restaurant at the recommendation of an German-Indian friend we met in Dresden. The food is incredibly good and delicious. We ordered the Dal Makani, Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan. Everything was fresh, hot and wonderful. Main courses came with soup &...Basmati rice which soaked up the wonderful sauces. The Naan was fresh, hot and delicious. If you are craving something different from the typical sausages and schnitzel (also very good) while in Dresden, try this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.More
Food is actually decent and it’s a nice location. But the service is the worst I have ever tried. In the menu the offered lunch special. Apparently this did not apply and the weekends but this was not written in the menu. When we got...the bill and a asked why he did not get this price, the waitress started to yell that this was only mon-fri. When I asked why this is not written in the menu she got even more rude and started to scream at us. A very unpleasant, unprofessional and impolite experience! Will never come back.More
We have been there with 5 people and couldn‘t have been more disappointed. The venue looked promising and was pretty crowded on a Friday evening. We had a 15 minute wait for a seat, which was OK. However, we ordered soon after, got some drinks,...and then - nothing... for at least 1 hour. Eventually some ‚complimentary‘ salads (not fresh, suited maybe for a rabbit) arrived. Another 30 mins later (= 90 mins after ordering) the starters arrived. Only 3 of us had some, so the other 2 were really starving by now. Starters were very poor - instead of the ordered onion bhagis we got terrible, fat-soaked onion rings served. Another 30 mins later, the mains arrived. Non of us liked the mains; no comparison to even standard Indian Restaurants. Some dishes very too salty, some completely bland and overall tasteless. The food was bad, but even worse was the service. There were no drinks being offered for 1.5 hours, no popadums offered, and the service seemed generally dismissive. Overall, poor service and poor food - never again for us for sure!More
We were there on 12.10 around 9 pm. I was with my 6 friends and it wasn't much crowded in Restaurant. We were discussing what to order and in between the waitress (A lady with Specs in her 60s) came 3 times in 5 mins,...seemed like she was forcing us to order fast. We ordered and waited for like 45 mins, didn't get any information about how much time will it require to get served, finally We're served. One dish was missing and she said i never ordered that and said it was my mistake not her(never experienced this before). About food: The Lamb was raw, we ordered Butter Naan, there was no Butter on it and was very Dry and The waitress's behaviour was constantly very impolite, we asked several times for menu card and every time either she was neglecting us or showing us how unpleasant she is from us(like she don't like customers at all). At the end we complained these things with the Boss and she said, the waitress is foolish, she don't know how to talk with people. Was very convincing from the Boss to hear this that they employ such people. Would never suggest anyone to visit here.More
We were very happy we decided to walk over to the New Town of Dresden, and also very glad we had dinner at Taste of India. Our "simple" dinner of mixed vegetables, bread, and dal was delicious, and the host/server was charming. If you like...Indian food, I would encourage you to try this small, moderately-priced restaurant.More
We ehere pressed for time and originally wanted to go to the taco bar near by. As it was full we figured we could find a place in the large Indian resturant on the cornor. We were right and even though i had low expectations,...as a lot of indian food in Dresden is mediocre, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was very well seasoned. The vindaloo had a bit of bite that is often missing in Germany. My wife was impressed with the rice dish and portions were very large. Prices are reasonable for Dresden.More
It's the second time of us being in Dresden and the second time us going for dinner it Taste of India, this time together with old friends. In my opinion, the place to go if you like real Indian food and do not expect something...high class or fancy! Really a fantastic price / quality relation! A must in my point of view !More
Popped by mid afternoon and treated myself to a palak paneer. Very tasty and great atmosphere - highly recommend!
The restaurant has a little sister - a more modest restaurant on the Alaunstrasse street (Close to Albertplatz Station(, not far from the big sister. Prices in the second restaurant are cheaper The food was delicious, satisfying and inexpensive. I enjoyed the meal very much...The only problem is that they do not know English and it is very difficult to communicate with them. I took a risk with the dish I ordered because I did not understand them and they did not understand me, but the risk paid offMore
A little bit outside the tourist centre but it is certainly worth the detour. If you love Indian food, you get a wide assortment of original Indian dishes. The service is very helpful and quick. A delicious choice for an evening eating outside.
Excellent meal; great service. My girlfriend and I will definitely be going back. We cannot be more positive about our dining experience.
We came here on a Saturday evening and were immediately greeted by friendly and helpful staff. The dish selection was ample and the service quick. The prices do not bite and the dishes were presented well, the lamb was cooked to perfection, and the rice...was fragrant and tasty! I will definitely recommend the place to anyone looking for an authentic Indian cuisine experience.More

We visited for lunch on a day when almost all main courses were available at half price - €6.90. Indeed, this was what happened, constituting remarkable value. The food, when it came, was very tasty. So far, so good, but: * we waited 40 minutes...for our food - standard menu items - to arrive ("a problem with the chef"' although others didn't seem to be affected). * my lamb vindaloo had just 3-4 pieces of lamb, the bulk being rice and sauce. * we asked for a glass of water and, when we got the bill, were charged €2.90 for this. The bill said "0.4l still', implying a bottle of still water had been provided, but the water was in fact delivered in a single glass, and could easily have been tap water. On the face of it, this was a tasty meal for a bargain price. But we rather felt we were being stung, as a means of recouping some of the (lost) charge.More
