We have been eating at Hala for years, often at lunchtime. The quality is always very good and the service is extremely friendly. The prices have gone up quite a bit (lunch is absolutely reasonably priced), but the portions are generous and the food tastes great.

Simply perfect

Simply perfect dinner - my wife and I had "just" mezze, a bottle of South African wine, and the dessert variation. Friendly service, beautifully decorated table in a quiet corner, excellent food.

Taste sensation

We just had the mezze, 18 plates, and dessert. The overall experience was just perfect. Each dish packs a lot of taste and is delicious.

Horrible service

After receiving the wrong dish, we politely asked the waitress for assistance. She told us that we ordered that. Well, we did not. Although the dishes are named quite similar, we explicitly ordered the correct dish. So there was no apology but simply a rude statement that this was our fault. In the end they swapped the dish but the evening was obviously ruined after this faux-pas. When we asked for the check and to pay by card before the waitress entered the amount she asked if she should enter the exact amount or something else, basically begging for a tip. Today I don't know why I even gave a tip afterwards but this made me never come back to this restaurant. Absolutely horrible evening.

Hala offers a mix of Turkish and Lebanese-style food. It's nicely repesented and very tasty. The staff is very attentive.

Very good food, small table

I booked a table for 3 based on TA reviews. I was a bit apprehensive because of some recent negative reviews but fortunately I wasn’t disappointed, the food was delicious and service friendly and impeccable. We had a number of amuse bouches and enjoyed dinner and wine. The only thing was we were given a table for 2 though we were 3 and so it was a bit tight at times. And the weirdest thing was there was a long empty table next to us the whole time. I would return but would ask for more space.

We were searching for a good vegan restaurant, but it’s not so easy, even in a big city like Hamburg. Vegan options were few. Food was ok, but not special. Very nice wine. Very expensive & service was also not great.

Very good food, but....

When we booked this table, we said that we wanted to take advantage of the Haspajoker which gives 15% discount. Unfortunately, my husband, who was first to arrive didn’t say this again. When we came to pay they refused us the discount as they said they need to know when they take the order. (Unlike other restaurants who just deduct 15% at the end). I pointed out that we had told them when we booked the table, but they were unhelpful. A shame- it spoilt what was otherwise a nice evening.

Very nice Restaurant especially for team evenings

A very good restaurant. If you take the „tapas“ as a starter you have right at the beginning a nice sharing atmosphere which is quite good to start good discussions. Also the main courses and the desert have been very good. All in all a clear recommendation.

Excellent Lebanese Food

To start this has been one of the best restaurants I have visited. It it a little bit away from the inner city, but it is very close to a S-Bahn and the food made more then up for it. You can’t go wrong and the waiter was very pleasant and helpful. I had the Orientalisches Reisgericht, the sauce made with dates was heavenly. Don’t miss the Knefi as dessert

This restaurant was excellent. The service is brilliant - English is spoken fluently and english menu's are provided. Food was very fairly priced and extremely tasty. I love lebanese food and this was one of the best. I definitely recommend going here.
