How is Heising rated?

To give the Heising restaurant review is a tough one... The environment is soo special. We where absolutely stunned by the unique interior. It's like being transported 100 years back in time. In fact, it's a time capsule. If you like being transported in time,...which we did, it's a hit just for the premises. The furnishings and the decorations are in detail held very consistent in style. Beautifully consistent. Now then - the food? It's in no way dusty or antique. But classical French style. And very well cooked. Here we have a family driven restaurant and the chef has great skills. Top ingredients and cooking on a high level. So the fabulous interior is in fact accompanied by great cooking. It's very hard not to like this place. And to like what they are serving. Thus, very hard to not give five TA-points. Even if the food experience isn't in the stratosphere, it's high up enough! Prices by every measure more than fair. Very, very recommended to visit! And please do, since the owners indicated that they maybe will not be around in business for so very long...More

Ein Tolles Restaurant

I've been coming to Berlin on business for years and passed Heising a couple of times but had never visited...until last week. A colleague and myself decided to pay a visit and we were not disappointed. It was like dining in my grandmothers living room,...lots of fond memories. Rinderfilet for the main course was perfectly cooked and tasted fantastic. Combined with a Navarra wine, it was fantastic. Service staff were attentive and the owner Mrs. Heising was very friendly. Will definitely make a return trip.More

Special ambience!

We were very fortunate to find and get a reservation (by phone) at this beautiful restaurant during a short trip to Berlin. On arrival one rings on the door bell and is invited in to what feels like the dining room of a friend’s home....We thoroughly enjoyed an excellent dinner. The menu is small but has sufficient variety to provide a good range of choices for all 4 courses. The presentation and quality of all dishes was excellent and service was warm and friendly. Most of all the atmosphere is personal and very romantic. It is important to be aware that the payment is cash only.More

The food was excellent in

The food was excellent in all choices and flavors. Fine dining and special atmosphere. The only thing that was poor was the reservation system (only by phone). There was some misunderstanding, when we dis our reservation and when we arrived to the restaurant, the lady...confronted us with rude manners.More

An exquisite meal-experience

We had been receommended this French-style restaurant by a friend, who was very enthusiastic about the meal, ambience and service in this Berlin venue. We were not disapointed - the welcome, as the service during the visit was excellent, the meal was fantastic and the...dining room, an enlarged private room, emphasized the feeling of being a private guest. a very pleasant experience in every way

Our friends introduced us to Heising; a hidden treasure in Berlin. It's not easy to get in: you really need a reservation. A very long time ago a couple with deep love for French cuisine opened the restaurant. Nowadays it's run by mother and daughter,...who have a chef from France (Périgord). It results in a very good, personal and obliging service and real French cuisine, all how it used to be many years ago. The interior decoration is still the same: elegant and romantic. So we ordered some champagne as an aperitif. We had a great dinner: Salade Périgordine, snails, fillet of veal Café de Paris, chocolate trilogie, French cheese, grand dessert. All accompanied by delicious wines. It was a great evening we won't forget. And we will be back!!!!More

Over-delivered!!

Party of four for business dinner. Chose restaurant mainly due to hotel proximity and a few reviews. 80 euros for four courses... each spectacular!! Reasonable wine prices. Family run. The matriarch takes your order. Just BRING CASH! I didn’t know... lucky we had enough!!

Excellent restaurant - a must visit - family owned and managed

This is my favourite place in Berlin. Visited two years ago and came back this month. just FANTASTIC. booking needed. Highly recommended. Fantastic food, wide choice, super service French style food.

A really good address for French food

The service is pleasant and the dishes are sophisticated. The ambiant is seems old, but I appreciated it. And the best point : it is very quiet! Perfect for a romantic diner. Just a little thing : they don't take the card. Only Cash.
