What a great place for a delicious meal with plenty of options. The view was an added benefit. Decent selection of wines but limited beer.

We have selected the place based on the positive reviews during a short weekend trip to Stuttgart. It is located up on the hills with a great view and in a nice area. The food menu is traditional but with a modern touch. We enjoyed the stay a lot. The staff was super engaged and friendly. The food was excellent. You can park on the main road just before you enter Rotenberg and walk up the stairs to the restaurant. Parking in Rotenberg / at the restaurant is very limited and restricted.

Very nice team, good quality and delicious food, also a real selection of vegetarian dishes, the winter garden was a bit too cold in the outdoor areas, but there were blankets ready at the appropriate places (thoughtful 👌😊). We were a big family of 8-80 and everyone was completely satisfied. We'll be back 😋

We had booked for 28 people and decided on the menu about 2 months in advance.
The contact and planning of lunch was very professional and in a friendly atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the seasonal dish, risotto with pike-perch, was changed to an asparagus risotto with salmon. I don't understand what this has to do with the seasonal offering, especially with regard to the fish.
But it's OK.
For the other choices, we had agreed on pork cheeks in Trollinger sauce and a roast beef. This was turned into a Swabian plate on which Maultaschen were served with the cheeks. In the previous discussion, I had explicitly ruled out the Swabian plate, but hey, we're all adults and can deal well with change. And we don't complain much.
Unfortunately, there was hair in the far too bland pancake soup and also in the very good potato salad.
The roast beef was dry and tasteless, the sauce was nice and dark and shiny but unfortunately it tasted burnt and of nothing. No spices, no salt. The Maultaschen were a taste Waterloo for me and my daughter, as well as my brother and his sons. But here we may have been spoiled by the homemade Maultaschen of our relatives and our tastes differ. The taste of herbs and meat in the filling was not enough for us. Smoked bacon or ham sausage or whatever dominated. But everyone has to decide for themselves.
Prices for the food were in the middle range, for the drinks (€4.70 for 0.3 lemonade) a little higher.
The service was friendly and professional, so we tipped well.
The food came almost at the same time for everyone, and there were second helpings of the side dishes too.
Overall, 3 stars. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely eat there. But unfortunately no more family celebrations. Oh yes, the Ballermann music in our room was not acceptable, nor was the fact that guests were simply seated with us in the reserved winter garden. We didn't mind, but I think asking would have been more professional.

We live in Uhlbach and know all the restaurants around pretty well. We have been to Rotenberger Weingärtle many times, I even celebrated my birthday there with a large group. The restaurant lives primarily from the location, the view and the tourists. The food is a colorful mixture of standard Swabian food and very creative things. The team is particularly proud of the Wiener Schnitzel, but I have never seen the breading not fall off at the first cut. The team is young, motivated, extremely funny but also pretty cool. You shouldn't complain, they don't deal with them very well. On the last visit I got my Flädelesuppe after 2 minutes, but the main courses didn't come for an hour. Thanks to our table we could see exactly that the kitchen had just taken a half-hour break. The deputy manager didn't understand my complaint at all, saying it was full and Sunday and there were groups and in between (after 40 minutes!) they had also informed us that the food would probably be coming soon. I actually wanted to write this directly to the boss, but what's the point, what's the point, and the shop is doing well anyway. My personal tip: You can actually tell from the description which dishes need to be made fresher and which are better prepared. The special meals are usually OK too.

I went there for dinner with a friend on April 27th, 2024. We had made a reservation for 6:30 p.m., but we hadn't planned for the traffic from the festival and called and let them know that we would be late. We arrived shortly before 7 p.m. and were greeted by the waiter who was responsible for the reservations. He sat us in the stupidest place, where we weren't even sitting opposite each other but next to each other and we felt like we were being punished (for being late), even though we had called and told his colleague. We sat in a corner on a high table with high chairs, it was very windy and my friend still had a cold, not ideal for dinner. Then we mentioned again that we had made a reservation and that we didn't like the place. His reaction to that was not so desirable, rather unpleasant, which we found very unfortunate. He then gave us another place where we could feel comfortable and had a great view.
The other waiter who served us was super nice and kept checking on us (a good example). We also really enjoyed the food. But as the saying goes, the first impression counts and we felt very badly treated by the first waiter, even though he had no right to treat us like that. What a pity

The restaurant is beautifully situated with a view of the vineyards. You should definitely make a reservation. Although it was very busy, the food came quite quickly and the service was very friendly and fulfilled our special requests without any problems.
The food was very tasty. In our family it is always quite difficult to find something suitable for everyone. But both the somewhat picky children and the adults who like to experiment with culinary things were satisfied afterwards.

In October 2024 we were (7 people) for lunch in the Rotenberg vineyard. The drinks were served quickly, but not the food. When after almost an hour all the sitting guests who had arrived later than we had already had their food, ours was finally served after multiple requests. Unfortunately, only lukewarm. The green salad had already wilted, which is why I suspect the food must have been parked somewhere for a long time before serving. Unfortunately, none of this was a treat. We were at the Rotenberg vineyard for the first time last night. We had a table in the conservatory/terrace. The view of the vineyards was very nice and set the evening in a cosy mood.
For food:
The appetizers (flale soup and blood sausage) were very delicious and also the following main course (mules and shreds of beef) was very abundant and also very good in taste. We then had to share the dessert (Kaiserschmarrn) because we were actually already full. This one rounded it off and then we got 2 Willi's on the house. 😋

We had reserved a table on Saturday lunchtime. We received a friendly welcome and received a table on the terrace with a wonderful view over the Rotenberg vineyards.
The service is very personal and friendly!

The view is really great! We were there on Sunday for my mother's birthday, so it had to be special.
I had made a reservation a few days before and asked to sit on the terrace.
Unfortunately, that couldn't be done. I was just a little dissatisfied because we were sitting right at the counter and noticed how a number of customers came into the restaurant spontaneously and didn't have a reservation, and most of them were seated on the terrace. Everything came out perfectly as ordered 😊. My guests only complained about two things: that the pancakes in the soup had been in the broth for too long and were therefore too soft, and that the pumpkin risotto was too mushy for some of the guests.
