Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The restaurant is a small almost intimate place with friendly service. All the dishes we and our gusts had were nicely presented and very tasty with perfectly cooked meat. I was so full that I didn't have dessert but our guests were very happy with theirs.

We were in Antibes recently and had dinner in this restaurant on two evenings. On the first evening we did not have a booking and had to return in half an hour when a table was available. The welcome from all the staff was excellent. This is a small restaurant. They have some tables inside and some outside. On our first visit we had an outside table. The menu is short but everything we ate was full of flavour. One of the starters is the chefs surprise for two people. It was different both nights. It comprises of 3 dishes. One of the dishes was a fish mouse. It was divine. I could have eaten a whole course of that alone. One of the dishes was bread based and the third one was a truffled hard boiled egg. They were really full of flavour and we enjoyed them. For the main course I had the fish dish on both occasions. It was a type of Mediterranean white fish which I had not heard of before. It was cooked perfectly on a bed of beautifully cooked green vegetables with a beautiful sauce. I even asked for a spoon to make sure I got every last drop pf the sauce. My wife's chicken was moist and perfectly cooked. It was served with vegetables and roasted potatoes with a a flavoursome jus. We loved these dishes so much we had them both nights. Even though we were full we had to try the deserts. One was a shortbread with strawberries, meringue, pistachio cream and peas. It was light and full of flavour. We also had a black meringue with passion fruit. It was also excellent. The second occasion was my wife's birthday and they treated her to their homemade lemoncello which she really enjoyed. I am counting the days until I am back in Antibes and visiting this restaurant again. Well done to all the staff for making our visits so good.

I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at this charming small restaurant with my husband. The cozy ambiance, attentive service, and great dishes made for a wonderful evening in two. We were impressed with chef’s use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients in every dish. From the appetizers to the desserts (we had calamari as an entry, my husband had fish, while I had the lamb and tarte tatin for dessert), everything was delicious. The intimate setting and personalized attention from the staff created a warm and romantic atmosphere, perfect for a special date night. We can't wait to return and enjoy more of their delicious offerings. Highly recommended!

The starter was ok/tasty and reminiscent of decent pub food. I ordered hake for my main, which arrived on a bed of clams (not disclosed on the menu). Being allergic to clams I had to order the veal instead. It seemed as though the waitress and chefs were offended although I simply couldn't eat their clams without becoming very ill. The veal arrived with hunks of fat outweighing the meat 2:1. On top of that the texture was crunchy and tough as if the chunks had been resurrected from the depths of their freezer. Does a place on the Michelin guide hold any worth, as many restaurants in Antibes are on it, yet they are worse than average restaurants in London (and about X2 the price)

For two weeks, we toured the CĂ´te d'Azur and visited several small restaurants for lunch. What a culinary treat! However, we were seriously disappointed at Le P'tit Cageot. After all, it has a Michelin star. How it got it, is beyond comprehension. They served a chicken that could not be eaten; suggested a better knife; offered a different dish. But no apology, and no reduction in price. Frankly, Michelin, you should check your routines for star awards!

This restaurant has had some good reviews and our friends were told by a family member that it was her favorite restaurant in Antibes. They were fully booked for the weekend but on Tuesday we were able to reserve for Wednesday. When we were seating and handed our menus

Lunch today Explained what gluten free I could have then I found a Crouton halfway through eating my salad 🥺 No explanation only that it fell in by accident . I wonder if it was pre prepared and the croutons removed ? That was why I have had a terrible stomach ache since lunch . There was no offer of a price reduction either so I will not return and want to warn other celiac sufferes

I hate giving bad reviews but this has to be said. Apart from the bottle or wine which was very drinkable the rest of the meal and the service ranged from poor to bad.. I have been here pre covid and it was always a nice if a bit on the expensive side experience. But God help us if a restaurant that has 4 starters and 4 main courses on the menu can’t get it right the owners should reconsider their vocation. In fairness when they eventually asked us if it was ok and we complained that the starters were undercooked and lacking in flavour they didn’t charge us, but when you go to a restaurant that charges this much for food you expect everything to be right. Anyway we won’t be back

Very expensive for a very average meal. The service was not attentive and I felt we were just another set of tourists to be milked (even though we live in Antibes) Middle of summer and the carpaccio of loup was a mess of poorly carved fish wrapped up in apple and cucumbers. Indistinguishable sauces and pickled radishes that were fizzy (ie off) only 4 choices on the menu one of which Boeuf Bourguinon, which was fine. But really, in the middle of summer? This restaurant has lived off the previous owners reputation. It’s is nothing like we were told it should be. Avoid

Good, fair prices for what we ate (and for Antibes standards), very attentive and helpful staff. We had an appetizer to share (a good carpaccio), a dish each (I had meat, tender and well cooked), two waters. In Antibes water is a luxury good wherever you go, paying less than 4/5 euros for it is impossible. It's better to have wine, but we don't drink. Well, not touristy.

From preparation to presentation, food is absolutely wonderful! I specially enjoy the fish, cooked to perfection and the starters are delicious. Their products are fresh and come exclusively from local farms. Le P'tit Cageot is definitely one of the best dinning in Antibes. I highly recommend!

My husband, two year old daughter and I stumbled upon this restaurant after roaming the streets of Antibes. While all the restaurants on the main roads were packed already at 12PM, this quiet alleyway restaurant had only a few tables seated. We decided to take a chance. Wow, just wow! This restaurant boasts delicious food with fresh ingredients and attentive service. I would say it is reasonably priced compared to other restaurants we have been to around the Cote D’ Azur. If you are in the Antibes area, this is one sure to not miss!

This small restaurant is set in the middle of the old town of Antibes and the tables are mainly on the (partially closed) road. The service is excellent and the food delicious. There is a real energy about the restaurant and a willingness to help guests.

This is probably our favourite restaurant in Antibes. The dishes are creative and delicious and beautifully presented as well. For example as an appetitzer I had a tuna ceviche with peanuts, corn and fresh coriander - wonderful! The service is also very attentive.

Our dinner was excellent! The stuff was very friendly. They present us whole founding history and tell detailed about products and structure of each meal they were serving. Changing seasonal short meniu. Good selection of wines. The fish was perfect. Also the desserts. Firstly we tried one and ended with three different, because we eanted to try all. Extremely good value. Its a pity that it was the only one evening.
