Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Superb Lyonnais- style restaurant with an impressively traditional interior and bags of atmosphere.
The menu is a carnivore's delight with an emphasis on pork, and particularly the sausage. Other options too which all sounded equally tempting.
I have to say that my lyonnais sausage in pistachio cream (quite mustardy) was both plentiful and excellent. Mrs EPR was very ladylike and had the baked camembert cooked in honey, which came with small pieces of smoked frankfurter - again, excellent. And after that, toasted brioche in a caramel sauce with caramel ice cream. I was drooling by the end of all this.
Another upside is the sporty and well-priced wine list. I couldn't fault the Cotes de Rhone that we selected
Although we'd made a reservation by phone, at 20.00 the place was empty. By 21.00 it was full and the place was buzzing and notable for several large, friendly parties of smart young guys with trendy beards. Perhaps this is where all the marketing and advertising teams go after work.
Anyway, it was a great evening, helped especially by the two hospitable and friendly guys that run the place and made us feel so welcome.
A marvellous experience that should be franchised; I'd love to work my way through that menu!
Very highly recommended.

Delightful place recommended to my by the hotel staff. The staff at the restaurant are very warm without being intrusive, the food and range of it is excellent and very well placed too. Traditional Lyon fare on tables covered by red and white tablecloths. I liked it so much at dinner that I went back there for lunch the next day ahead of the match I was covering. A gem.

Excellent food, good sized portions. Between is we had an amazing pork chop with chimmichuri sauce, a steak tartare and two entrecote steaks, one with gorgonzola, the other with chimmichuri. The desserts were amazing, with the highlight being the brioche perdu. Reasonably priced at around €24 for two courses in the evening. Service was good.

After several restaurant searches my little girl selected this one and frankly I was very surprised at the service and the quality of the meal. Child menu a huge steak and fries she loved; me terrible egg casserole. Compared to other restaurants in Nantes I recommend this one without problem

We came for lunch one afternoon (room half full), we were served after an hour. Much too long (one of the servers told us that the kitchen had not sent our dishes... And the manager replied I can't manage everything). Too bad the setting is nice but it spoils the atmosphere a little.
Otherwise for the meal yes it's okay but nothing extraordinary, I didn't find the Lyonnaise cuisine, the dumplings were overcooked and stuck in the pan. Served with bland rice without sauce. The other dishes were good, nothing more. Standard desserts, nothing extraordinary either. I certainly expected better but was a little disappointed. To try again perhaps when the service will be more efficient if you have time (although my visit a few years ago went better, but it was the menu of the day).

Spent two nights in Nantes and very glad we found this warm, welcoming restaurant. Friendly staff, excellent meal, superb reasonably priced Provence Rose Wine. We didn't book but it was packed shortly after we arrived so booking is probably advisable. Two main courses, shared profiteroles plus bottle of wine 68 Euros

Authentic setting and atmosphere with reasonable pricing. Service was efficient without being friendly and the food was average at best.

Great local menu (in English for me) beautifully presented and equally tasty. Nice local wine and cheese signed the deal for me.

Our last night in France before heading off to Venice, Italy and we were lucky to score a table without a reservation. English speaking owners- a bonus ! We enjoyed some great entrees; bone marrow with bread (excellent!!) and foie gras followed by mains of fish soup and salad. A great meal with equally good wines to accompany. A bonus being next to our hotel, the Oceania. Reasonably priced and we were surprised to find a line of diners queuing outside in the blistering cold waiting on a table at 9.30pm! Well worth it !

Nice location in the pedestrian zone, not too elegant like restaurants around the theater. It is not expensive, the dishes are delicious, waiter understands only a few English words, but he was helpful and not arrogant.

The most eclectic decor that I have ever seen
Huge portions
The starter is enough for a main course, then the main course arrives
Couldn't try the deserts - too full
They do have a nice alternative - a digestive
The food was fantastic. Not Michelin but well cooked and presented

I enjoyed a very hearty dinner on a thankfully cool evening. The atmosphere was friendly and the service very good, with helpful suggestions for the wine. This is an excellent choice for carnivores and offal fans.
