Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Me and my wife visited Paris in April, and while exploring the Belleville and Ménilmontant area we stopped off for lunch. The Restaurant was very busy and the waitress explained there would be a long wait. This was not a problem after spending few hrs walking around Pere lachaise cemetery.Food was excellent and the wait was delightfull sitting watching the real Paris street life pass us by.

I visited this restaurant 2 or 3 times a few years ago and it was unfailingly great food in a really good atmosphere. Imagine my disappointment the other week that it has been refurbished to look like any other anodyne restaurant(which I coud have forgiven) and the food is bland, bland, bland, which I cannot over look? A starter of aubergines, tomato and mozzarella was utterly without seasoning and my chicken balllontine came of a bed of soggy, tasteless taglietelle. There was a dire lack of veg or salad with any of the main courses and three of us said the best overall verdict could be, 'Bordering on average.'
Oh, and they'd lost our booking despite 3 emails and 2 phone calls...

Belleville / Père Lachaise
At the eastern edge of Paris lies Belleville / Père Lachaise, an understated wonderland of local treasures. Alongside the world-famous cemetery, family-owned delicatessens and cafés nestle between local stores and establishments. The richness of the population here has created a little Chinatown of Asian restaurants, and the area comes to life at night by a funky underground scene. Façades change from one street to another as one passes from white walled provincial homes to tall blocks and reconverted homes. The whole area is an inspirational mix of people from all corners of the world frequented by artists, students, immigrants, and Parisian families. Once home to supporters of the Paris commune, its rebellious nature is now offset by its rural charms.
