Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely loved this no frills place. If you want tasty authentic French food and wine this is the place to eat.
Service was excellent and the food was exceptional. Can't wait to return next year.

Second time to go to this restaurant. First time was November 2019. Just as good and friendly both times. Always locals outside front door drinking beer or wine adding to the fun local vibe. There was a new server who messed up our order (it happens). The proprietor and server felt so bad and brought us extra saucisson.

Excellent food and service. Very busy with office workers on their lunch breaks although the price tag must take a chunk out of their salaries! We really enjoyed the food- Terraine de Campagne followed by Magret de canard . With a bottle of wine the bill was £80 for 2. Fish and chips seemed to be the top choice for the Parisians surprisingly.

We've been eating at le Rubis for years, and it was always excellent until it changed ownership a few years ago. We went for dinner last night and when we arrived at 7:45 PM, the waiter rolled his eyes, and I suspect that he was hoping to get off work early. Two of us ordered the steak "à point," which should be somewhere between medium-rare and medium. The steaks came out totally well-done. We couldn't eat them because they were so tough and over-cooked. When we asked the waiter if we could take the rest home (in the hopes of salvaging that mess) he gave us a long lecture about how he would not allow us to take the food because, in his words, "Doggie bags are not French." He was really a jerk about it. We're done with le Rubis, unfortunately. It was good while it lasted.

The owner is just the worst possible guy in Paris… no respect for the customers. Awful experience. Do not give your money to a person that insults his clients just to have fun…

Great little restaurant in the center of town, enjoyed the food, wine and service. Seemed to have lots of locals and regulars. May need a reservation as it was busy each time we passed it .

Old fashioned bistro without pretensions. Just good food at a reasonable price. We were the only non French in the place, so if the locals eat here it must be good. Very friendly staff.

Stumbled across this cafe/Bar/Restaurant looking for something to eat late night on a Thursday night after arriving in Paris. What a find. Old fashioned Paris cafe full of locals serving great food (2 great steaks), great wine and a fabulous friendly atmosphere.
Returned on Friday night for a late drink and again came here on Saturday night for great Champagne, food (Confit Duck & Pork Chop), wine and great fun with the locals.
After coming to Paris for the same weekend for the last 25 years, this was by far the best place we have been

Very good local restaurant. We went for weekday lunch. It was very lively with no tourists. It was super busy but the service was still great. Food was traditional bistro and solid. I would definitely go back.

Called into Le Tunis after finishing a cycle tour- our cycle tour guide had recommended this venue for lunch.
What a find- meals where perfecto - staff where knowledgeable and spoke English which assisted our menu choices.

It’s perfect. Really, the location, the vibe, the wines they serve. The people working there know their wines and their attitude is friendly, wether you are a tourist or local.
It’s that perfect hidden gem experience you want to find around Place de la Concorde area.
11/10 highly recommend

No English spoken (since 90% of the clients are French) but very nice and kind stuff, available to translate the menu for you.
The dishes were good, but not outstanding as we were expecting.
Come here if you want to try and taste the real French cusine.
