This was our first time having dinner at Cafe des Ministeres and what a meal it was! It was one of the BEST dinners we had on this trip and if they had remained open the first week of January would have happily gone again. The warm welcome and exuberant smile as soon as we entered the restaurant by Roxane made us feel comfortable and at ease! The service provided by Roxane and her gentlemen server was professional, prompt and very friendly! Roxane was extremely helpful and patient in suggesting the best options for us to savour seeing it was our first time there! She was on point with all we chose and our grateful for her advice. The food by her Chef/husband Jean is wickedly delicious, well orchestrated and thought of with a beautiful marriage of flavours and a symphony of surprises on the palate! We loved and appreciated the concise, non elaborate menu giving emphasis to the quality, the freshness and the pureness of each dish. We savoured each plate beginning with the unique ‘amuse buche’ to the starter of house pate, eggs mimosa to our main dish of sweetbread/chicken vol-au-vant and the stuffed cabbage dish which delighted us with their bold and harmonious rich flavours exemplifying true French food! Kudos to Chef Jean for mastering and inviting us to savour these dishes in the purest form they should be eaten and enjoyed! We cannot wait to return soon as this will now become our restaurant ‘d’habitude’! Thank you once again Roxane and Jean for a memorable meal we are still talking about!! A bientot

A fabulous place to have lunch, was there with my brother snd it was recommended by Emmanuelle Jary. The food is exquisite and offers a wonderful menu all homemade with their fabulous bouchée à la reine which I would highly recommend. Owned and run by a young couple it was refreshing to see such a high quality food and a fab welcome. Would suggest you book in advance .

Just about 6 months ago and already the word has
circulated among the parisian culinary world. Unpretentious creativity is their signature. They have not chosen tried and true crowd pleasing dishes but dared to take oysters and mix them with green apples, or fill an old fashioned vol au vent to the brim with seasonal mushrooms or a concoct a major bone marrow dish. We did peek other tables to see a more traditional cote de boeuf or a simple skin crispy salmon... for the less adventurous.
We will be coming back with my chef son in law and our restaurant entrepreneur daughter to show them we can still ferret out a great little gem without breaking the bank.
Besides, we didn’t really explore the desserts.
Be sure to reserve.

We were staying close by and decided to try this restaurant- stopped in early without a reservation. So glad we did! Food was delicious and service was excellent! Would definitely recommend.

This lovely small restaurant is run by a charming husband and wife team. He cooks and she does front of house. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is really good. I would strongly recommend this restaurant.

Next to the palais Bourbon, this delicious little restaurant is very good news in the neighborhood. Small but very well balanced menu and good choice of wines. The pork was delicious but unfortunately, one of the specialties, the vol au vent, was good but not extraordinary. Some improvement could be made, specially with the sauce. very friendly and efficient service

We are staying close by and decided to try this Cafe and we are glad we did. We ordered a nice Bordeaux that our friendly server showed us was organic. The bread they serve is a freshly baked, warm wheat sourdough, I tried not to overfill on it. Our entrees were escargot that came with a bone full of tasty marrow, much better than a few snails and shells. My wife had scallops and I had a beef fillet that was the special. The had purchased 1/2 a cow and were using it in various ways. It was wonderful with fantastic mushrooms and petite potatoes and onions. Our desserts were so good as well. A great dining experience.

This small, lovely restaurant came under new ownership in February 2019 just before we wandered in. The owners are a husband and wife team of chef and front room and are just delightful. The food was fabulous! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and highly recommend them.

Awful attitude. Disgusting manner. We had young children who required the toilet. On first glance this cafe looked beautiful, until we walked inside and ordered drinks whilst the children used the facilities. I suspect that she thought we couldn’t understand French. We made sure we told her that we would be purchasing drinks. The lady behind the bar was abhorrent and even though we spent €22 on drinks (with an otherwise empty cafe) she was tutting and quite angry about the fact our children were using the toilets. Don’t bother stepping inside.

We were looking for an early lunch for we had a tour booked at 1pm. We heard of this restaurant so we went in. We were the only ones for it was just noon. The French lady was very nice but only had limited English and as we tried to order she pleasantly called for chef. We did not associate the name chef as actually being the Chef and he was extremely helpful in helping us choose from the menu. My wife had the fillet of sea bass and I had a warm chicken liver salad. Both were well presented and very good. Had a great chat with the Chef at the end and we really enjoyed the meal and the experience.

On a recent trip to Paris we stumbled upon this great spot filled with locals on a weekday at lunch time. There with three friends, we were all happy with our choices, mine was the duck confit with mushrooms and mashed potatoes. So good!

Stumbled in this lovely little cafe/bar whilst looking for breakfast. Friendly service & English spoken. Great coffee and a great fresh omelette.
