Everything about our experience was wonderful! We sat near the open kitchen and it was like watching a ballet as the team worked together to prepare plates and present them to the table. The servers were part of this dance and worked seamlessly with the kitchen team and with the diners. The sommelier provided some excellent suggestions for wines by the glass to accompany our tasting menu. The chef accommodated my nut allergy while still allowing me to participate in a five course tasting. Then there was the food itself! Insanely delicious!! There was one element of a multi-part amuse bouche that was a bit tart/bitter for our tastes, but it was easily forgotten across the sea of delightful flavor combinations and textures that the chef and his team prepared for us! Each course had a concept that was described beautifully in addition to sharing an overview of the ingredients, how the dish was created and in many instances where the main ingredients were sourced. The team accomplished their mission of making us feel completely welcomed into the spell they were weaving to delight all our senses and to allow us to participate in their joy in working together. It was magical afternoon and moved up into one of our top dining experiences ever!

This was a strange one. Without doubt, the food was amazing, with the seven course tasting menu having incredible creativity. Yet, I still do not understand how the restaurant was organized. The kitchen and front of the house needed a choreographer. The first three courses of the set menu came rapidly, in lightning fashion, too fast. We didn’t have time to order our wine. Then, everything slowed down, and the dishes came out with long delays in between. The servers were sprinting back and forth with frenetic energy, sapping the attractive space of all sense of graciousness. It was odd. However, the food was sublime, and this chef is a master. We chose the Granite menu, and our favorites were the Soufflé Parmesan Iodé, Turbot nacré meunière, and the ris de veau, but everything was fairly amazing. The bread choices were some of the best I ever munched on. The servers were pinballing around, not saying time for discourse, until the end. The assistant sommelier from Medellin was charming and kindly chose a wine that was half the price of the one I originally chose. The end of our dinner was surreal. Everyone was gone. The entire staff disappeared leaving one young lady to collect all the bills. Three tables, including us, were compelled to bring our checks up to the front in order to pay. That was very disorganized and ungracious for a one star Michelin restaurant, but Tom Meyer is a great chef, and I would eat his cooking out of a garage can.

We visited the restaurant during our visit at Paris. We went for the lunch menu. The chef changed some plates according to our allergies and dislikes. The restaurant is small, modern and simple with an open kitchen and you can watch the chef and the kitchen staff creating the plates. The food was interesting and delicious. Especially the main course which was the rabbit. The sommelier and the waiters were polite and explaining every dish and the wines. We also had coffee after we finish the lunch menu which came with its own small desserts. The chef greeted us before we leave and asked us about the food and our experience there. Overall we had a great time and the lunch menu was value for money for a michelin restaurant. Definitely would suggest Granite for the experience and the food.

From the moment we walked in we felt at home. We sat at a table in the main floor right next to the open kitchen. There’s something about being so close to Chef Tom and his team. It makes the experience less stuffy than most restaurants at this level. Our tasting menu and wine pairing was an exciting tour of flavors. The beef, arctic char, and blue lobster were highlights but everything was amazing. The wine pairing was spot on and had some wonderful bottles throughout the meal. Not all of them super stuffy either, the sparkling wine paired with the blueberry dessert was very reasonable (there’s a bottle chilling in my apartment right now!). By the end of the meal we were a little tipsy and full - exactly what we came for. I emailed the next day to get the wine list and they emailed me a PDF of the nights menu with the wine pairings. Stellar service all around and a wonderful experience. One we will remember for a long time. Thank you Granite team and keep up the good work!

An outstanding meal! I had dinner with my husband at Granite in October and it was absolutely spectacular, one of the meals I've had and certainly my favorite in Paris. What made this dinner stand out from others was the way Chef Meyer was able to effortlessly blend different flavors into something that was sometimes unexpected but absolutely delicious - for example, a dessert of chocolate soufflé with a hint of grilled plum, or an oyster with sour apple and kimchi. His grilled porcini mushroom with squash and mushroom with brown butter reduction tasted like the epitome of Autumn if I could put Autumn on a plate. The plating looked like artwork and the service was unpretentious and warm. I would love to come back if I ever find my way back to Paris, and I would not be surprised if the next time I do, Chef Meyer will have earned himself another Michelin star - this restaurant deserves it.

We just had another wonderful lunch at a Michelin starred restaurant here called Granite. It was 65 euros for 3 courses but that doesn't really describe how many plates we got. It started with a mango like drink that cleansed our palate. Next came THREE Amuse Bouches. Each bite of each was unbelievable and lovely to look at. One had caviar on it. And this isn't even the first course yet. We did not do the wine pairing but chose a bottle of red with the sommelier's help. All the silverware, plates and glasses were hand made for this place. Pure artistry to go along with the food and service. The sommelier even knew Chamber Street wine by our house in New York! Our first course was zuchini stuffed with cream sitting on a bed of mushroom puree (luckily my wife wrote this down). The main consisted of two different lamb dishes. One was confited and very rich. We spent about 2 and a half hours there and it flew by. Every utensil was changed of course. If you got up to go to the toilette your napkin was refolded by the staff. There was nothing stuffy or intrusive about the service. It was as casual as breathing. The only uncasual thing were how many men showed up wearing shorts, scruffy blue jeans and flip flops for this elegant meal. The women of course were all appropriately dressed for the occasion. The dessert course started of course with a pre dessert. And then there were two more!! It was truly a memorable meal like a wonderful play to cherish and remember. Thank you Granite.

When I spend 190 euros per person for an 8-course tasting menu at a Michelin Starred restaurant I expect to be wowed by the service and the food.  My experience at Granite was by far the single biggest dining disappointment I have ever experienced (and I have had dozens of fine dining experiences all over the world).  Of the 8 courses we were served, my family and I concluded that two were good, a couple were fair (being generous) and the rest of the meal was inedible.  It says something when you leave the table 3-hours after the meal began and immediately start looking for a local pizzeria.  The service, while better than the food, also left a lot to be desired.  While a few of the servers were friendly, others displayed a “my s@%% don’t stink” attitude that was unbecoming.  Perhaps it was because they had to serve food that, while visually pleasing, left a bitter after taste that unfortunately lingered on the palette for far too long.  I would have washed this down with some wine, but the wine pour was the thinnest of pours.  Truly, when you spend the kind of money for a meal you want to walk away saying “that was the greatest dining experience ever!”  I left saying that I just wasted a ton of money on the worst meal ever.  Yes, I know Granite is supposed to be the hottest restaurant in Paris.  Perhaps it earned its Michelin Star with a  different menu.  If so, I strongly suggest getting rid of the dishes served to me and going back to what got you the Star.

Lovely restaurant in the old Spring location. Small dining room on the main floor where we had a table facing the kitchen which was great. The service is very attentive but casual and friendly. They accommodated food preferences. Very unusual combinations and flavors. Everything was beautifully presented with so much care taken in the presentation and choice of plates. The plates literally looked like paintings. Very unusual but delicious cheese course. We took the menu Quartz which had 7 plates and that combined with all the extras that they give you was more than enough food. Would definitely go again for a special occasion meal.

I can’t say enough how fabulous this experience was. The staff were lovely, the food was absolutely incredible and we were placed at the best table. It was a joy to sit overlooking the patisserie kitchen where we were allowed to watch Anthony work. Not only was he incredibly skilled but very kind too. He explained the dessert in its experimental nature and, as with everyone we came across who worked here, went above and beyond to make the experience unforgettable. The booking was to celebrate my 30th birthday and I can’t thank Granite enough for making the night so memorable.

This is one of the finest meals we’ve ever had. It was spectacular from start to finish. We were seated in front of the kitchen and so had an entertaining view of the kitchen and could see the chef in command of his troops. There’s also a lower level so request that if you prefer not to be distracted by the kitchen. We ordered the wine pairing which was fantastic— a carefully selected group of unusual wines, including a rare vermouth (only 2000 bottles produced and it is not sold in wine stores). You have a choice of 5 courses, 8 courses or 9 courses. We chose 8. The menu constantly changes so not worth getting into the details though I have added some photos. Rest assured it will be spectacular. Our one (minor) complaint would be that the staff, while efficient and precise, was rather serious and humorless. The focus is on the food.

Was so looking forward to trying this restaurant with all the glowing reviews. We went on Wed November 22, 2023. We got the Granite menu for 4 and 2 wine pairings. We were seated below, 2 adults and 2 kids. First off, the wine glasses were never changed between the pairings. The host/wine person was off and didn't remember some of the wines and what they were made of. Crumbs were left on the table for a long while before the host swept them away. As for the food, all I can say is I really have no idea what taste palette this meal with meant for. Everything was on the sour side...like sour candy pucker your mouth sour. The only dish that was remotely good was the seared meat. I even looked over to another patron as he ate and made a sour face. The bill came out to $1,007 euros and it was probably one of the most disappointing meals I have ever had in my life.

Exceptional dishes with unconventional and creative flavor combinations that work really well. Although often undervalued by guests, the various types of breads offered at Granite were a dream. Fantastic wines, modern and warm decor, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended if you are looking for a Michelin-level experience! We’ve eaten at many high-end restaurants, and this restaurant can certainly compete on a 1-star level. When we return to Paris, Granite is at the top of our list.

From comments about this restaurant, we were expecting a good meal but both the food and the service we had were well above our expectation. We decided for five course meal, which I think was a good choice because was a great "feast" of food, could not take more. Every course had a very beautiful presentation. As mentioned, service was at highest level in every detail.

We went there for a three-course lunch (Euro 75) and were favourably impressed by the technical abilities and imagination of the chef and his team. A real gourmet experience in the world capital of gastronomy. We’ll definitely visit this restaurant during next stay in Paris.

The taste was not bad and the service from the sommelier was great. It would be better if the sauce was less heavy and much reduced. The endive was drowned in way too much sauce. Maybe to cover there wasn't much on the plate. It would be much better if the quality value was more like the many one star restaurants that we frequently visited. We tried the lunch menu to see how the quality value was and see if it was worth while for us to come back for the more extensive menu. Sorry to say that won't be in our plan.

Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
