I will start off with please make a reservation! We happened upon this wonderful restaurant as we were just walking around the area and hungry so looking at the reviews we inquired, they were fully booked but the hostess was kind enough to offer us another day. As we exited the restaurant, she asked us to please wait because there may be a cancellation, the manager Louis-Marie was kind enough to seat us. Although we were not dressed for fine dining, the entire staff was still so wonderful to us. I find that very refreshing as there was no judgement, just great service. Kei is a prix fixe menu and changes BUT the one thing to note is that if you return, they have a database of what was served during your last experience so they will modify if the same type of dish would be served that day. I really love that type of touch to the menu. Although each experience is different I will say please take a look at the photos for a description. We had the pleasure of meeting Chef Kei, he has truly made a fine restaurant with the best staff and management. Louis-Marie really took the time to check on us when possible and explained some of the more complex dishes to us. I can not say enough about him or the restaurant except we will be back again and again.

We booked at Kei when they had two Michelin stars and while we waited for our reservation, they received their third star which only increased our anticipation. The experience proved to be much better than our high expectations. Honestly, we got off to a bad start as we arrived at peak time and once we were seated, we were left to our own devices without food for longer than we would have liked. However things improved significantly as the the dining room thinned. We ordered the 9 course menu and buckled down. The meal was superb. I struggle to pick a favourite dish as each was original, surprising and just delicious in its own way. I will especially mention the signature garden of freshness and the pork tataki because I couldn't even describe how amazing they tasted. The unexpected textures and mouthfeel were just more bonus. The indulgent desserts were also very notable. The price for this experience is completely reasonable. Service was polite, discreet and friendly throughout. I don't know when we'll get another reservation, but I cannot wait to go back.

Restaurant KEI is not just a restaurant, it is a life altering experience. From beginning to end, I was enveloped in a cocoon of kindness, brilliance and light by a team of extraordinary professionals on par with few others. I had the Harmony Collection - Composition Horizon menu, which included standouts such as Palamos shrimps w/ peach gazpacho and Shrenki Caviar; Kei’s signature jardin potager; Quail risotto w/ black truffle and Périgueux sauce; and the pièce de résistance - Kagoshima Wagyu! I wish I had been more diligent about remembering names, but their maître d'hôtel was very kind and welcoming, and the sommelier provided excellent advice and was fun to chat with about wine. Her recommendation of the Salon champagne was a particular high note. Many other members of staff demonstrated their enthusiasm and love of cuisine and took the time to chat with me about it and the delightful city in which they live. This is a quiet, intimate establishment that is very well staffed, in a lovely little corner of Paris. Couldn't recommend it more, get a table here if you can!

We did have a high expectation for Kei because it was difficult to book a reservation for lunch. We booked more than 2 months in advance and could not get a dinner reservation so had to choose lunch. We chose "menu degustation" for 170 euros per person. Food is overall good (not a surprise for a 3-star Michelin) but we left feeling a bit underwhelmed. We wish that the dished could be more creative and flavorful but instead we got hits and misses.

I came here 4 times : 2 times before first star, 2 times after first star, 1 time after second and one time after third. Each time has been a pleasure, and the progression clear as water. Among the highlights - For each plate you have a twist or a little something that makes it above expectation - Quality of ingredients is crazy. I dont remember a single 3 stars (even fat duck or osteria francescana) where you have 2 times caviar during the meal. And lobster. And waggyu beef.. So just (try to) book and enjoy, it's a one in a lifetime..

Most amazing culinary experience experience and what a team! You feel welcomed as part of the family. The food is incredibly unique and special with so many experiences along the meal. Glad we booked before they got their 3 star. I will remember and cherish this memory with my best friend forever!

Kei was sensational. We went for lunch (choosing the tasting menu) and found the cuisine to be inspired, innovative, and delicious. Every dish was creative, beautiful, and memorable. Service was flawless, and the sommelier made excellent recommendations. Highly, highly recommend this very special restaurant!!

Extraordinary experience. The menu is a bit confusing but asked many questions which the staff skillfully answered. Basically they will cater to your tastes. Expensive but you are paying for a dining experience of French fusion. Excellent wines. Beautiful food. Skilled knowledgeable and wonderful staff. Plan several hours

Memorable lunch at KEI. All dishes were exceptionnally prepared, with very interesting flavors and textures. Impecable service. I believe the place wouldn’t loose anything by being less formal. The food experience itself is enough. We got to meet the Chef afterwards. The staff was very nice - I definitely recommend and hope to be back.

Kei was wonderful. Every dish a unique work of art. We’re occasionally disappointed by these restaurants of reputation. Sometimes you walk away thinking you got taken by an overpriced, overhyped location. But not Kei. Service was friendly and warm. Chef Kei came out to say good bye. And food as I said was amazing.

The cuisine is absolutely three star level. The service is a small step less. Imaginative and explorative cooking. Michelin uses the word raffinée which describes it well. Chef Kei Kobayashi has created something exeptional on the top leveol of Paris dining.

This was my 40th Michelin star restaurant and I can safely say it was the worst! The food was mediocre at best and at worse food poisoning inducing. Hubby and I had the tasting lunch menu (€260pp) and he opted to swap the main for Waygu, for an additional cost. Being a pescatarian, I had an asparagus main, which I kid you not was nothing more than grilled white asparagus with black pepper and a tarragon béarnaise. It was so basic and over peppered that I didn’t eat it. I was offered a replacement of John Dory fillet glazed in red miso with steam broccoli - a dish that even someone with minimal cooking skills could whip up. I think it was this dish that cause my horrendous vomiting. The tiny redemption was the desserts which were a pleasant surprise, probably because I had lost all hope of decent food by that course. The service and food was nothing worthy of a Michelin star let alone three. Don’t let the pictures fool you - it was style over substance. Save your money and your stomachs and head for the Four Seasons…in particular L’Orangerie.

Fantastic restaurant with creative menu. The wagyu supplement was really good. Also enjoyed the langoustine and caviar. The sommelier was great as was the wine pairings.
