Partner and I visited without reservation on a Tuesday night around 8.45, were told we could get a table in 15/20 mins so proceeded to hang around outside and get a few photos. Back in and they had us idle in the doorway blocking the...entrance for a few minutes while then attended to others which was a little concerning but after getting seated the experience improved markedly. Food was expensive, seemed popular for business meetings and Instagram, but overall was good. Good service but looked like we were lucky in that regard, our server was much more pleasant than those we initially dealt.More

Had a delightful dinner here on a busy Friday night. We started with a bottle of Prosecco and their antipasti and calamari/zucchini fritti, both of which were excellent. Our mains were gnocchi (stuffed with pumpkin purée), cannelloni (creative style), pizza, and a big cheese pasta...(the preparation of which was screened from us by arriving customers who took a long time to sit down at their table) — all of which went well with their Rapitala Campo Reale Nero d’Avola. Desserts were fondente ciocolata and 3 boules of glace, both very tasty. The ambiance is elegant and convivial, the food is always excellent, and the service charming, friendly and professional. We came here a 2nd time by ourselves and enjoyed their antipasti and big cheese pasta. We have come here for years, and highly recommend.More

We were seated by a very angry woman who made us feel like we should be grateful to have been allowed in. The exasperated shrew was even more upset when we dared to ask for a different table due to the cold air that hit...us from the open door. She then moved us to the punishment table right under the service bar. The salads arrived quite fast but the main dishes took over an hour. Only when we asked for the bill to finally be freed from this excruciating wait and find a place to finally hav diner did the main course finally arrive. Cold. With not a word of excuse. Hope that lady takes a Xanax and chills a bit. Having a view on the Eiffel Tower doesn’t excuse rudeness and unprofessional behavior. Never to be repeated.More

I was travelling alone in Paris and stumbled across this restaurant. The views from the outside seating towards the Eiffel tower are stunning and totally unique. I came by on a Tuesday night, around 8:20pm and without a reservation, but it looked as if the...place had many tables available still. I stood by the door, dressed in casual (tourist-y I guess) attire, and waited to get to talk to a waiter in order to be seated, as you do. The waiter I spoke to was hesitant and disinterested sadly. He only mumbled something about checking inside and left me standing there. And so I did, for a rather long time, while other waiters went in and out and no one bothered about me. I thought about leaving after a few minutes, but eventually I got a seat and the views kept me there. I only ordered a Pizza Margharita and that furthered the waiter's disdain towards me I guess, as a quick "Voila" he uttered while dumping the plate on the table was the only service quality I received there. Furthermore, I saw two fellow German tourists, also wearing casual rain jackets and jeans, stopping by and asking about seats while I was eating. By that time, it was already around 9pm and a lot of tables inside and outside were still vacant. From what I heard, they were told that the restaurant was full and that they had no more seats, so they left. Some time later, a couple in rather formal attire (she wore a dress, he wore a suit) came by to ask the same thing, as they had no reservation either. They were instantly seated outside and quickly attended too. The same thing then happened again with another couple, some minutes later. I, meanwhile, was never checked up upon again. I obviously left no tip and the waiter never said a word to me again. The pizza wasn't bad, but not the best either. I paid 13.50 Euro, which is fine for a pizza in Paris. I get that the restaurant is located in a busy tourist area and that the style of the restaurant is probably intended to be more upmarket, but treating guests, which are polite and willing to pay, like that goes against my interpretation of Italian hospitality. And also it states that it is a "casual" restaurant on the Google Reviews page. If you are dressed in fine clothes and are willing to order expensive dishes and wines, give it a try, maybe you will have the best experience in all of Paris. If you are a solo traveler or tourist family, casually clothed and just looking for a nice dinner, don't bother and preserve your dignity by going someplace around the corner.More

Wow wow wow! I cannot express how great Gul I was to find this little gem of a restaurant. I feel that you would be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t take a break from French cuisine and grab yourself a bowl of pasta...at This gem of a restaurant. Everyone running the restaurant is absolutely amazing, the location is perfect, they have an amazing Italian wine list and the food is incredible! We ordered the linguine and clam sauce two days on our week long trip to Paris that’s how good it was! Ciao !More

We were walking by and saw someone eating and the food looked amazing so we stopped and ordered a Spaghetti alle vongole and the shrimp linguine - both were amazing. The bruschetta was also very good. The best pasta I’ve had even in Italy. We...can’t wait to come back and try other things. It’s a small but very nice and pleasant inside.More

Wy wife and I had enjoyed a wonderful meal at Il Sorrentino 6 years ago and were keen on this visit to Paris to see if it had maintained its high standards. I am pleased to report that it was as excellent as we had...remembered it to be. We arrived at the restaurant around 7:45 without a reservation. Although only a couple of the tables were occupied at that point the maitre'd had to confirm with his reservations book before seating us. We thought maybe he was just being a little dramatic in the nearly empty restaurant, but by 8:30 most of the tables were occupied and new arrivals without reservations were being turned away. Our meal: shared appetizer of calamari / zucchinni, one raviloli, one pan fried cod, 50 cl bottle of wine - total cost: 80 euros. Reservations recommended !More
