Stumbled across la pie noir as we were staying in the hotel adjacent to the restaurant. What a pleasant surprise, I sampled some of the best freshly cooked food in a very long time. I would definitely recommend the clams, the duck was also cooked...More

We went with seven people. Everyone was very happy with their meals, although one dish did not work very well (cod with a red wine sauce). However, the pork chops with potatoes and the steak were excellent. The pistachio creme brûlée was really good for...More

Not a bad place, but I don't understand the high ratings. My duck was a little tough. Razor clams were good, & a decent portion for the price. We didn't get dessert, but witnessed the " enorme' " profiterole at the next table. It was...More

A spontaneous sing along to this song by the entire restaurant was the fitting end to a very French meal. We knew we were in for an experience when my 11 year old daughter was poured wine while waiting for our table. She drank it...More

Not a big place with wonderful, full of character and energy host, good food and interesting, while not too expensive wines, all you need to finish a good day in Paris.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience here. The suggested wines and risotto starter were nice...the pork and the potatoes were wonderful and the duck and potatoes were quite good. I wish we had enough room to finish the profiterole for dessert...but just couldn't take it...More

The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life,
architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The
small streets are filled with classical buildings,
student bars and lively eateries while the squares are
dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined
by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin
once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which
