We found this gem of a restaurant and so glad we did. The waiter was charming and helpful and looked after us well.
We ordered the smallest seafood platter, great oysters and amazing selection of other shellfish.
When we got the bill, there was confusion on the platter, we thought we had ordered the small platter, but we were charged for a larger one. No problem, the waiter immediately changed to the cheaper 27e less and offered me a whisky on the house. Great atmosphere, great food and great service. Highly recommend.

If you are a fan of seafood, lobster or fish, you cannot avoid this small, fine restaurant in Bordeaux. From online reservations to friendly, uncomplicated service to the choice, quality, freshness and preparation of food, everything is really top in this restaurant. While travelling through bordeaux we read good reviews about this restaurant. The atmosphere is wonderful. Classic French music plays while your eyes are drawn to the intriguing trinkets that adorn the walls. It has a warm and inviting vibe that transports you to a different era. The food is so fresh and tasty, we paticularly enjoyed the shrimp and oysters.
Theyy are happy to fill up the bread basket when it runs empty and the platter portions are generous. Most of all, the service was fantastic. Both Luca and Annette were attentive and answered all of our questions with enthusiasm (even queries about some of the art on the wall!) - they really made us feel welcome. I highly recommend this spot and will definitely be returning.

If you like surly French waitress, limited menu which several items were out of, then still avoid this sad restaurant. Have dined all over France, this is one of the worst. Out of basic fish soup, had red crab soup- opps tasted like crabs from a few days ago. The assorted smoked fish was sooo salty. Go somewhere else!!!

Reservation last Saturday at 1:30 pm for 4. We arrived at 1:30 p.m. sharp.
1 serving of rillons ordered as an aperitif with a bottle of Quincy, served just before 2pm, okay.

The place is ok but the tables are too close together. The seafood is very fresh but the cooking broth is closer to plain water than fish stock. We had a booking for 4 people (2 couples) at 20:00 for celebrating the birthday of our friend. They made us wait 15min for our table to be ready. Once sat down, we had to wait 30 minutes to finally get up ourselves and take the menu while the manager or head waitress was smoking her 2nd cigarette not aknowledging us. They finally took our order at 20:55. We ordered a bottle of white wine that came warm and when asking for ice to put in the wine they said they are running low on ice. We asked water glasses and said they didn’t have any glasses. At 22:30 they came to announce one of our dish wasn’t available and offered us a lobster as an apology. 2 of us did not lobster. We finally recceived our food at 23:00 and it was wrong. A plate of 24 oysters instead of 12 oysters and clams (for the 2 who don’t like oysters. I can tell you, the food was nothing to write a book about. Arrogant manager in the defensive saying we offered you lovster as an apology is not enought for this aweful experience. Please, do not come. All the guests were pissed off and this place does not deserve your time not money.

I gave 5 stars because:
1. The deco of the restaurant is so pretty, fish-man shed style.
2. the two waiters were really nice and willing to speak English
3. The menu is not broad but you can taste all the specialties from Bordeaux with a wide selection of wine
4. The freshness of the seafood: we tried the oysters and I was a little bit scared of being sick but the smell of their oysters is amazingly fresh! You should try them!
We also took the 1/2 crab and it was really good too!
5. Considering that we had 6oysters, two 1/2 crabs, tons of bread, and clams in parsley and a bottle of wine (20€) we paid in total 83€ for two persons. So not bad 🥰

As one half of a couple that’s not into seafood this was a treat for my wife who loves it, she absolutely loved the restaurant. We were made to feel very welcome by the boss, the place itself was a very traditional and homely feeling. The food and wine was fantastic. If your a seafood lovely it’s a must visit when in this amazing city

. After a slightly late call, on a Sunday evening, after a walk at the Grand Pavois, the Manager kindly agreed to receive us.
The place is simple and decorated with a touch of fantasy.

Very disappointed by the freshness of the shells. We weren't used to that... A third went straight into the table bin.

We came with friends for an all-you-can-eat mussels evening.
A shame, no more oysters of the advertised caliber, no more mussels after half a plate. Huge waiting time. A kindness to be seen again, we had to demand a commercial gesture which we obtained on the drinks. If the quantities planned for this special evening were too tight, it was necessary to inform the customers instead of seating them at the table. We had an excellent meal here. Seafood was fresh and reasonably priced. Seafood and other option portions were very good sized. The fish buyer for the group was acting as the waiter the evening we visited and he was lively, engaging and informative. Would highly recommend.

Let's start with the 2 downsides before the positives.
A slow, slow, leeennnnnnt serve. 10 minutes to get the menu then another 15 minutes for the slate of suggestions to be brought to us then another infinite time before receiving our aperitif and the first course then another 20 minutes of waiting between the starter and the main course after our table was served... However, the restaurant was really not full. Second downside, the music was deafening and annoying in the long run (even though we were on the terrace).
Otherwise, friendly staff and good advice although apparently not very organized or very insufficient in number given the duration of the meal. Very good quality/price ratio.
