Gastronomic restaurant with a capacity of about 20 guests, modern decoration and elegant touches.
A small room in which you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive, since the attention and hospitality of those who serve it creates a relaxed atmosphere.
At dinner they offer a five-course set menu for 65 euros, renewed monthly, based on seasonal products creatively treated by their Chef.
Throughout the night he will surprise you with his creations, in which you sense his influences from international cuisine, reflecting his training, research work and passion for cooking.
The output of each dish is accompanied by a detailed explanation of the ingredients and preparation, with which you discover the multiple flavors and aromas.

Such a truly magnificent and amazing gastronomy experience! Such a gem and a MUST DO if visiting Bordeaux. Super easy location to get to and a small restaurant so, you'll definitely want to make a reservation at least a week in advance...if not sooner. I recommend the 5 course chef's menu and they definitely can recommend a good Bordeaux wine to go with your dinner. A remarkable place and at the end of the night, the chef sat down with me and we shared a drink of his homemade rum that again, was amazing. Such a talented and very personable chef with a wide culinary history to draw from to make the food dance in your mouth!

Thank you for your service. It was a very beautiful evening. The room was beautifully decorated by the chef with his own paintings, and the dishes were both beautiful and delicious. My wife made some specific requests to the chef, who was able to take them into account. We highly recommend.

When booking for the Valentine's Day dinner, I scrupulously fill out the questionnaire specifying an allergy to seafood, molluscs and crustaceans.
We discover the unique menu by taking a seat at the table for this Valentine's Day evening. On the menu: 4 dishes, the first with crab and the second with shrimp.
I question the waiter who seems to have discovered the situation and goes to the kitchen to find out. The order is limited to the single menu! Then, he will pass by our table 4 times without providing us with any information. We are ready to go...
The first course arrives: a beef carpaccio called tartare is served instead of the crab sushi. The second dish follows: vegetarian ravioli instead of the shrimp ones. 3rd course: a steak of beef en croute - undoubtedly the same piece that was used to make the starter carpaccio.
The dessert is delicious.
Meal finished in the anguish of poor management in the kitchen of preparations with shellfish and ours, such as cooking juices.
Conclusion: For not having taken this essential information into account, our Valentine's Day dinner was totally ruined!
It seems to me that no alternative had been anticipated in the kitchen.
As a result, the dishes were ordinary and in any case, unworthy of Chicoula.
Only the bill remained at the level: €175.00 for 2.
For a truly gourmet meal, I recommend Le Lauza, or even La Fine Bouche - rue du Hâ. And above all and ABOVE ALL, the SOUND on rue Paul Louis Lande where, for example, signaling that a guest is allergic to Gluten, a basket of “gluten-free” bread awaited us upon our arrival.

Je suis surpris par votre virulence car nous avions pu discuter sur place de ce quiproquo, en effet lors de votre réservation nous avions en commentaire et non pas dans la rubrique allergie, je vous cite " pour ma femme uniquement fruits de mer, mollusques et crustacés"
J'ai sans doute par erreur compris qu'elle souhaitait uniquement ces produits là.
Le menu est affiché sur le site internet.
La personne en salle était effectivement un peu embêté puisque nous n'avions pas compris dans le bon sens votre commentaire.
Cependant j'ai essayé de trouver une alternative et j'ai préparé avec le filet de bœuf un carpaccio et réaliser des ravioles végétariennes.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our son's 30th birthday. We were a table of 9 people and were warmly welcomed in a friendly and very tasteful atmosphere.

Words will not describe the amazing and personalized dinner we enjoyed here in our first visit to Bordeaux. We had two allergies in our group, nut and gluten, and the menu was appropriately altered to ensure that we had a wonderful dining experience. The uniqueness of their dishes and the combination of flavors in ways we have not seen at other restaurants was truly a delight. The highlight was the red pepper ice cream on tomato and lamb (We are not big lamb eaters but these were amazing). Thank you so much for both Accommodating our allergies and providing a lovely dinner experience. Oh and also the wine pairing was very much enjoyed.

A small dining room thoughtfully laid out. Gold hued matte cutlery and soft velvet chairs. Friendly welcome. Simple menu choices yielding to modern plating with fresh ingredients. We opted for the classic menu in 5 courses and wine pairing. It was really a perfect evening, nicely paced. Ingredients were varied, with surprises along the way. Highly recommended for a classy evening that is casual and confident.

Cozy place where you quickly feel at ease in a chic and intimate setting, very professional and friendly staff who accompany you perfectly on this culinary journey, refined dishes and a superb mixture of surprising flavors in perfect harmony. An explosion in the mouth with each plate and to finish a gourmet but light and refreshing dessert. No wonder you have such great reviews.
The food & wine suggestion goes perfectly with the dishes. Sophisticated and professional work by lovers of cooking, you immediately feel in the plates a strong desire to provide you with visual and gustatory pleasure, the dishes are superbly presented and we only had one desire: to immerse ourselves in it. Each dish was a beautiful emotion, each plate returned to you empty without the slightest crumb... a treat!
It was a very nice evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary together, a thousand thanks for this and your friendly and attentive welcome, we will come back and will not fail to suggest this beautiful trip around us, an address to know in Bordeaux, I recommend highly for all lovers of sophisticated and elegant cuisine that provides beautiful emotions... Happiness on the plate, inventiveness, delicacy, delicate combinations of flavors, we loved our wedding anniversary evening at Chicoula.
Welcomed very pleasantly by a delicate waiter, attentive and giving good advice, we chose to accompany our dinner with the rosé champagne offered on the wine list, it was a total success, because it lived up to the standards. a starter developed around tomatoes, (a lot of work on textures, tastes, spices), lean fillet cooked just pearly, tasty and fragrant 7-hour lamb, up to the slightly sweet dessert, really delicious .
The moments of exchange with the “artist-cook” at the end of the evening were a reflection of his taste productions, interesting and enriching, sensitive and delicate.
We will definitely come back!!

Excellent.
Impeccable service and top-notch cuisine. The restaurant does not have many tables and is therefore perfect for an intimate moment of sharing away from the crowds. The chef himself participates in the service and takes the time to chat with his guests.

Enjoyed an exquisite evening of culinary delights & food combinations of the Menu Degustation! Really cannot decide which course was my favourite - it was all so amazing! Interesting combinations of flavours that worked perfectly. For example mussels with nectarine in a saffron bouillion! White fish with roasted fennel and it's other extraordinary accompaniments.
Michelin star level of cuisine for sure!
Great service & stylish but cosy, intimate restaurant. Not to miss!

We absolutely adored this restaurant. It is a small intimate space, great for lunch or dinner. The chef is Michelin trained, and the attention to detail on each plate is fantastic. We had the 4 course discovery menu, and selected a couple of local white wines off the menu. The seafood was amazing, fresh herbs and vegetables, with amazing sauces and foams. A great French experience. The chef was lovely, very approachable and Happy to talk through each dish. Would definitely return and highly recommend.

Food was an outstanding combination of classic and original. All dishes were prepared and presented artistically..The Chef and his partner were both friendly and professional, taking time to briefly inquire after each course. The space is small and intimate with 8 or so tables that can be set for single, couple or small group. I highly recommend it if one of your goals in visiting France is finding amazing food. Wines, of course, were all excellent.

Cozy restaurant, light background music, attentive service. Very well presented dishes with delicious flavors. The 2 wine suggestions to accompany the dishes were perfect, special mention for the Anjou wine, perfect with the flaky beef fillet.
We had a very pleasant romantic moment on the occasion of our anniversary.
I highly recommend this place.

We came to dinner at Chicoula for the first time and we will come back.
The welcome and the place are warm.
The service, attentive and discreet.
