Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Came here with two friends for a small baby shower and we absolutely adored it!!! Carla was so accommodating with helping me organising the day from taking care of food allergies, to supplying 2 very pregnant ladies with non alcoholic prosecco and just making us feel totally at ease with the restrictions. The costumes were so much fun to dress up in and we were allowed to take LOADS of photographs. The variety of sandwiches and cakes were fantastic and absolutely delicious (especially that homemade jam). We never once felt rushed or that any request was too much. We were so at ease with everything that we would have happily stayed all afternoon if we could!! It really was like stepping back in time for a few hours. Excellent value for money and a brilliant local business for Arklow. I will 100% be back again...I actually can't wait.

Our family, although they live in England, arranged for us to receive the Quarantine Tea as a gift for our Wedding Anniversary. It was a perfect gift, absolutely delicious and every detail had been thought of!! The Afternoon Tea was delivered to our home in Wicklow and was beautifully and carefully presented. The food and drinks arrived chilled, you only need hot water to make the Tea! We joined friends and family over Zoom while we enjoyed our Tea and they were certainly a bit envious. It was a great occasion. We can’t recommend this experience enough.

Special occasions need special service and Victorian Tea Times provided that!! From my initial enquiry to delivery, interest and concern were 100% . Because of shutdown, personal attendance by family was not possible but the quality of food and drink was reported excellent and delivered at the agreed time and place. I have much confidence to use the services of this business again. As I am in UK I used internet and telephone and Audrey answered my calls in a cheerful manner and all my requests were satisfied. Top service top quality.

From the moment you walk into Victorian Tea Times you're transported to an experience you won't find anywhere else. Or not in this century anyway. The dresses and outfits to try on are beautiful, with lots of opportunities to take photos and feel like royalty. Audrey is a perfect host - friendly and full of lovely stories of town and family history, and she looked after us perfectly. The afternoon tea was gorgeous - cakes and sandwiches that are as luscious as the surroundings. We felt like we were dining at the Ritz :)

We visited Victorian Tea Time in Arklow on Friday 25th September. It was my 3rd visit and it was just as special 3rd time around. It was my friends first time and she was fascinated to see all the wonderful things from a different era. She loved dressing up as a Victorian Lady and we took lots of photos. Afternoon Tea was delicious. Everything is prepared fresh on the premises and Audrey bakes all the cakes herself. Beautiful china, dainty cutlery and even a little bell should you need another pot of tea or anything else. A wonderful experience, so go on treat yourself or surprise a friend.

It's an amazing getaway from the helter-skelter of the modern world. The moment you enter this cosy Tea Room, you feel as if you’ve moved to the different epoch filled with tinkling of the vintage porcelain, swooshing of the floral fans and ladies’ giggles. And believe me they do have a lot to giggle about - they are dressed up in fancy dresses, colourful hats, sited on the slightly creaky chairs and are offered a cup of tea to hold. Alas, do not forget to stick the pinkie up! Even the most gracious stuff there maintains the illusion by wearing the outfits of the epoch. For those who like a bit of theatrical it’s a place of a great fun both for man & women alike. After the dressing up, the High Tea is being served – all the food is home made, all of it equally tasty – from savoury canapes, through fruity scones, jams, clotted cream to gorgeous cakes. My friend & I loved it to the core!! It’s been an experience that made us feel good! I can’t wait to come back for more fun!

Had a fantastic experience with my ladies at Victorian Tea Times, Audrey and the girls were amazing, dressing us all in victorian dresses, pearls, hats and fans! We all looked fabulous and then had our afternoon tea, which was only delicious, all home made cakes, scones and sandwiches, wash down with a lovely china cup of tea! Thank you from Nuala and the ladies from Bray knitting and crochet class!!!

We had afternoon tea for my mothers birthday, but due to the corona virus we could not visit the premises. The staff delivered everything to our home, including some clothes for dressing up! The food was wonderful and they made it so easy to decorate the room. I'd highly recommend this place to everyone and anyone

We were on a girls trip to Arklow and wanted to try something different. We weren't disappointed. From the moment you step into the tea rooms, you feel transported back to a different time. You expect to hear a horse and carriage go past the window as you arrive. We were greeted by Audrey, one of our fabulous hosts who immediately whisked us off to get some costumes on for photos. I initially declined but as my mate was getting into the spirit of things I opted to join in! It was SUCH fun.The food was amazing. I had already messaged our dietary requirements so everything was taken into account. We couldn't get through everything. Our lovely server Carla was so attentive we never needed to ring the bell. From a COVID point of view, the place is brilliant. Masks, constant hand sanitizing and spacing. You feel very safe. We had such a wonderful evening there, we will be back. Christmas seems like the perfect time.

Our party of three attended for afternoon tea as a birthday treat for my sister. And what a treat it was! We were looking at over priced 5 star hotels but decided to try something a little different. Audrey and her staff are so friendly and professional. The food generous and delicious. The chance to dress up for photos (optional) and eat in a setting that mimics the period was a whole new fun experience and at such a reasonable price. Can't recommend enough. Thank you for making it such a memorable birthday.

We had a fantastic afternoon tea here and will be back. Audrey and I think her name is Margaret could not have done more for us. There were 6 of is and they made each and everyone of us very welcome and gave us all the time we needed for dress up and photos. The costumes were fabulous. I can't recommend this highly enough.
