Very good is my overall rating because all six starters were excellent but only three main courses achieved that, with one being very good and two being average The starters on the special board were truly excellent as were menu items, including the pate Main courses which rated highly were Salmon, Fettuccini Bolognese and Sea-bass from the special board. Risotto tasted very good but was poorly presented and too dry. Risotto, according to Carluccio, should have the texture of lava slowly descending a mountain. Pollo Milanese which should be pan-fried chicken with pomodoro sauce on spaghetti, was deep-fried and the sauce was little more than warmed, chopped tomatoes Fettuccini di Mare was nicely presented with ample seafood on the plate, but was under seasoned with a flavourless garlic and herb cream and mussels which were over cooked On a further plus side, the atmosphere was good and the staff were excellent and efficient

Fantastic Family Meal

Have been a frequent visitor of adesso for many years and this trip was just as good as the first. Special mention must go to Lauren and Lynsey who managed to squeeze us in last minute on a busy saturday night hats off to you girls. Food was fabulous as always and service was terrific especially with my son being a picky eater lauren helped him pick and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal. Also best pint of Peroni in Scotland, keep up the great work!

It is hard to find restaurants that tick all the boxes, whilst away on holiday. We arrived in Irvine on Saturday evening and following a disagreement with our hotel, we decided to go out for a meal and drink. Trip advisor was consulted and a quick phone call secured an 8.30 booking. We arrived it was busy but the staff were in total control. The food ordered and presented was excellent. I had a pasta starter, freshly cooked and very tasty. My main was a chicken breast stuffed with Brie & spinach in a garlic sauce with vegetables which was just wonderful. Piping hot , freshly cooked and to die for. My wife had a linguine with garlic & chilli king prawns in oil and herbs, which was also of the highest order. With a bottle of wine and garlic bread the bill just over £60. Excellent, so much so we booked for Sunday. Suffice to say the quality of the food on Sunday was still first class. I had the linguine with prawns as a starter and the Bolognese Calzone as my main . My wife also had pizza followed by Homemade chocolate Brownie with raspberries and ice cream. Coffees and 4 drinks £57. The staff over the two nights were a credit to the restaurant and our only regret is this is not in Cardiff. Fantastic.

Great choice and great food!

On a short break in Irvine, we were encouraged to visit by Adesso's positive reviews - and they are not wrong! A variety of Italian favourites with some interesting twists to choose from and our meals were beautifully presented, served piping hot with perfectly cooked veg - all very pleasing. Service was warm and friendly - thank you, Morgan! Very good value too. What's not to like!

Best takeaway we'd had in a long time!

This was our Anniversary celebration meal and it was excellent. By far the best takeaway we had during the restrictive times! It was well packaged, freshly made and still piping hot when we served it up. Best pizza, it was as good as when you sit in. Great value for money meal deal for £25 for 2 Starters, 2 Mains & 2 Desserts. We were too full to eat our desserts so we had them the next day! Absolutely brilliant.

Been wanting to try here for a while, always seems to be fully booked (good sign) Starters were small Carbonara and the Goats cheese Crostini, both were delicious and for the mains my partner had the margherita pizza and I had the spaghetti and meatballs, every component was perfect. Service was also excellent. Including x2 soft drinks and x2 alcoholic drinks the bill was just under £54. I'd definitely recommend Adesso and we will be returning soon.

good but not great ... a bit flat in taste

went for a meal here having seen the reviews. This is really a 3 .5 not a 4 place . The starter was simply lacking seasoning. My main with so called tiger prawns was ok but nothing you would gow wow about as again lacked seasoning. the sauce was nice but v v thin and a bit oily for my taste. Its like they need to eat the food they servce and finnish the job off. would we eat there again..... yes . the best in the area and would go if passing. would I go there for a treat ....sadly not. Irvine is not a hot spot for food and this is the best you will get Price ..... inc drins etc budget 25 per person

Gluten-free & family friendly

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Travelling with a gluten-free nine year old can be challenging but Adesso's has a huge choice of gluten-free dishes. The gf pizza was fantastic, second only to the brownie she had for dessert! Great staff, friendly and helpful and lovely atmosphere. Bit tricky to find with satnav as they're in a pedestrian zone, we parked on the main street and walked over. Well worth the drive from Ayr where good gf options were harder to find.

Gluten free heaven. Must visit

Fantastic family run pace which can make any dish gluten free. So much choice. Lovely to be able to have so many options. Great lunch deal 2 courses £12.95 I had the breaded goats cheese with caramelized onions. Best starter I've had in a long time. So much flavour. Then pepperoni pizza which was huge. The base and sauce were delicious and fresh. My partner had minestrone soup and lasagna which he said was very tasty. Great portion sizes. Worth a visit. Well definitely be back. Such lovely friendly staff too.

Visited for dinner recently with friends. We were all really disappointed. The prices are quite high but the experience does not match this. The tables are set with brown plastic table cloths which they've had for years and are ripped and need replaced with something brighter. They were also sticky. Napkins are thin and cheap whereas you'd expect something better in a restaurant. The menu's look like they have been used for years too and need refreshed. Nothing authentic Italian about the decor at all - all very brown. The staff including manager were dressed like they were going to the gym, should perhaps be dressed a little smarter. There was just no atmosphere at all. Very cold and dark inside. Menu is fine if you like pasta or pizza but no alternatives if you don't. Pasta was just ok but nothing special. Cheesecake was nice but it literally comes on it's own with no cream or ice cream, or fruit on side (bar one of those mini decorative oranges). The cheesecake needed something with it (it did used to come with these items so not sure why not now). Considering the fairly hefty dessert menu price the cost is way too high for just an average slice of cheesecake. In all we just felt disappointed in every way and we won't be rushing back as too expensive for what's on offer. All alreas are things which could be changed easily though to make the dining experience for customers first class.

Best Italian Restaurant in Ayrshire

I've been to Adesso many times over the past few years and never had a meal that wasn't fantastic. The pasta is so fresh, definitely the most authentic Italian in ayrshire, the food is always delicious I love the spaghetti carbonara and I always get cheesy garlic bread and ice cream which are both equally delicious. The customer service is warm, friendly and professional. I don't even live in Irvine, I travel to come here because we love it so much. My family and partner also love it.

Great wee restaurant

Fabulous wee restaurant, often passed it and always thought we would go one day and so we did. Food fabulous, service very friendly, prices great. White chocolate and tablet cheesecake to die for - don't know why one reviewer said it lacked cream as I was offered a choice of cream or ice cream, also found the staff to be very smart and the menu was varied - not sure if others have been to the same restaurant! Will definitely be back.

Little Gem

No frills restaurant in the heart of Irvine we stayed in nearby Seamill but were attracted to Addesso thanks to some honest reviews on trip advisor, so glad we did. Fairly extensive menu for a smallish restaurant. Service very friendly professional and attentive, Thank You.

Pre holiday dinner

Once again this restaurant never let us down. The food was wonderful and piping hot. They also have a good selection of drinks to match the food. We are delighted to recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area or just visiting - you will not be disappointed

Staff here are so helpful and friendly. Went out of their way to accommodate us. I called several times about dietary issues. Each time they would recommend something and said that if that didn’t suit person they would make them something else that wasn’t on the menu. Can not recommend Adesso highly enough. Will definitely be back here 100%
