The Halfway House is the smallest pub in Edinburgh and situated a stone's throw from Waverley station - halfway up a flight of stairs ( a Close ) leading from the New Town up to the Old Town. The pub is popular with all kinds of people - tourists, locals, professionals, students and even the odd celebrity! Famous for its real ales, whiskies and Scottish food - the pub is an excellent spot to stop for a while, relax and experience the Pub's unique atmosphere. You'll be very welcome!!

This is a small pub that has welcoming and helpful staff. There is a 4 real ales normally available and food too. Handily located up the steps opposite the back entrance (Market Street) of Waverley Station and is reasonably priced . It's also dog friendly!

The best pub to have a lunch in Edinburgh in my opinion. Th owners are really nice and very polite with the customers. Amazing food, especially the haggis and the cullen skink.

Great little pub. Probably the smallest and quaintest in Edinburgh. Good staff attitude and prices are reasonable for food and alcohol as it's situated between Waverley Stn and The Royal Mile. It's another one of those pubs that when you find it, you want to...More
