We came here this evening and there were 13 of us. We got tables upstairs and the layout and area was great. The food was absolutely first class. Starter and main was the perfect amount and it was fantastic. This Italian is definitely one to...visit. Thank you.More

Just through to Aberdeen for the night, my wife chose this restaurant as it was close to the Holiday inn Express where we were staying. Quite simply the best meal I've ever had and my wife, son & daughter thought so too. Everything from start...to finish was first class😀 The shots at the end was a nice touch also. Will definitely visit again next time we're in Aberdeen. Highly recommended.More

Booked our table online and when we arrived the person who met us told us the table was upstairs. We had my 72 year old Mum with us, and we politely said sorry could we have one downstairs? The man (manager?) snapped “you should have...told us before” - however we had no idea they had an upstairs as this was our first visit! We were given a table downstairs and they brought an extra chair - which was broken. Food was good, the two waitresses we had were friendly but one thing that we found off putting in the current climate was the fact that the man that ‘greeted’ us took his mask off halfway through the night and did not put it back on, and the waitress we had - her mask was so loose it stayed around her mouth and not her nose. As someone with a compromised immune system, this could have been an issue. Appreciate however it was a hot, busy environment. Would return for the food but the points above and the fact we mentioned it was our son’s birthday today and it was not acknowledged in any way means we may not return too soon.More

I ate here tonight with the missus. The atmosphere was excellent, and we were given a nice wee table by the window. The service was first class and perfect in every way. The food was exceptional. I had the Penne Arrabiata which was delicious. The...bill came to £35 for two people which was good value for money. Overall this was the perfect meal and we will definitely come back again very soon.More

We were in Aberdeen for the weekend and chose this restaurant for our Saturday night out based on reviews. I often find Italian restaurants here produce food that can be dished up at home so I'm looking for something to elevate it a bit beyond...that and looking for a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Mi Amore sadly failed to deliver on all counts. The garlic bread with tomatoes to start was just that, store bought bread and those pale almost tasteless tomatoes with a trace of basil. The mixed salad starter was good and plentiful. My seafood linguine with the cream sauce was excellent with plenty fish, prawns, mussels, squid and clams but the pollo milanese was again basic, breaded chicken with a pile of spaghetti, nothing to make it stand out. Dessert was ok, can't really go wrong with ice cream but it would have been nice if the waitress had explained about how many scoops, there were five flavours on the menu and she just asked which ones we'd like. A wee bit more information on what was coming would have been helpful in choosing. We picked three flavours, four scoops were served, with cream. Service was mixed, we were greeted at the door then the girl had a short conversation with another staff member. The same girl brought us our wine and again stopped to engage with another waitress in the middle of serving us, this was the same girl asking about our ice cream, could she not have focused once on dealing with us? We were seated in the middle of the floor so had constant traffic going back and forward, just unlucky as they were busy. Our waitress was attentive enough and we for the most part enjoyed our meal but it was spoiled right at the end. We noticed every diner at the end of their meal being offered an amaretto or limoncello as they had their bill presented, nice touch we thought. Of course when it came to us we only got the bill. There were three tables paying at the same time, the other two had a wee thank you drink, we never, then the waitress brought the card machine to all three of us, one after the other. It might be a small thing but no one likes being treated differently and we were definitely the only table missed out while there. When leaving my wife mentioned to the manager behind the desk that it was a shame they didn't offer this to all their customers as it kind of spoiled the night and he did apologise and offer us a drink at the bar. We refused as it wasn't about getting a drink and just suggested that if he was going to offer this service then make sure it's offered to all. We then left and he followed us into the street and again apologised and said they were busy and short staffed. We again said it didn't matter but maybe emphasise to staff that all customers deserve the same treatment. He then got a bit shirty saying its a free drink. I don't think he was getting the point. My wife said after spending £66 in your restaurant it would be nice to be treated like everyone else and he said what's £60 at the end of the day. Clearly it's nothing to him so he'll not miss it if we dine elsewhere next time we're in Aberdeen. He then walked back to the restaurant and told a woman outside we were moaning about not getting a free drink. Still missing the point about treating customers the same, giving them the best experience and making sure their Saturday night restaurant choice was a good one as they head home.More

On our recent trip to play golf at Trump International we rounded day one off with a meal here.. Excellent choices by all and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals.. The staff were very helpful and polite, service was spot on, not too quick with perfect...wait times between courses.. The (free) glass of liqueur offered at the end of the meal was a lovely touch.. Will definitely pay another visit the next time we’re in the area and certainly recommend anyone looking for a nice evening to give them a try.. Maybe a little more “booze” in the Tiramisu, I would definitely have it again, but maybe a drop more would add to the flavour??More
