Loved our visit to The Tea Emporium today, great service and lovely food particularly the homemade cakes which were enormous and tasted as good as they looked. The inside seating area was cosy and warm with a good view of the Ironbridge. Will definitely visit again.

Where else can you sit looking out at a World Heritage Site drinking lovely tea and eating fantastic food for 3 for less than £20? Our scones (with jam and cream) and Barr’s brith with cheddar were delicious, and the tea was both hot and plentiful. We passed a wonderful hour or so enjoying a chat and watching the world go by. The service was top notch and we enjoyed ourselves so much that although we live 70 miles away are planning on another visit very soon.

"Wonderful "review which is very much appreciated by us all... Great to hear that you enjoyed our homemade scones and homemade barrabrith , as well as our loose leaf tea ( not homemade !!). ... Had a fantastic lunch with the mother 😊
Great staff, lovely fun people.
Also they accept cash and card but prefer cash so bonus points from me.
Tea was hot and refreshing 👍
My ploughman’s was top notch and the mother enjoyed her baked potato with cheese,beans and salad.
She said she would have liked the cheese to be melted but still enjoyed and if she was to order that again she would ask.
Look forward to going again 😃

Group breakfast 3x large breakfasts all big portions and very well cooked and presented. Fast efficient and friendly service would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice and friendly place to eat or get a hot drink and a sit down. Also very accommodating with my friends request for the crispy bacon baguette.

Mu hubby and I used to visit here on a regular visit prior to Covid. Always had a lovely time, staff are always so helpful. We visited yesterday as a family with daughter and grandchildren. Even though it was just after one o'clock they were still willing to do sausage sandwich, scrambled egg on toast and a bacon roll for my husband. The children thorough enjoyed the sausage sandwich and scrambled egg which they shared between them. I ordered the prawn sandwich, which was absolutely amazing, it was crammed full of prawns, and lettuce (not too much) on the side, crisps. coleslaw i think it was a honey mustard dressing which was delicious and salad (my grandson ate the majority of the salad). i love prawn sandwiches and have eaten them all over the country, but this was the best I have ever had. Can't wait to return in a couple of weeks for another one, especially as we only lived about half an hour away. The staff were very welcoming and the one man made great friends with my grandson and daughter. See you soon.

A really friendly greeting and fab service. All staff were accommodating even when it came to adding extra items into dishes. Coffee was great. The spot is ideal for exploring Ironbridge an right opposite the bridge itself.

Just wanted a sandwich and a coffee. We got a meal with a sandwich on fresh bread, crisps, a good portion of side salad with a separate dressing. Very pleasant sitting in the sunshine on a cool day with a view of the bridge, tasty food and a large coffee.
The staff were efficient, friendly and brought our food to the table. Most surprisingly good sandwich I have had. One negative is having to pay £3 for two hours parking. Think this is money that would benefit the businesses and shops rather than the council. Would visit here again but leave the car at home.

The tea emporium used to be a regular treat especially in the winter months for many years being local to the area but got a bit disillusioned with it 2 to 3 years back because of increasingly poor service and value for money, but out with the family today in ironbridge my daughter suddenly reminisced about the milkshakes she used to have at the emporium and being pregnant suddenly craved once hence we gave it another go. I hadn’t realised it had changed ownership and though the chairs outside were more comfortable I was disappointed to see the more traditional inside quaint cafe and tea and coffee display had been refurbished in a much more clinical cold way - progress I guess! Anyway someone was quick to bring us menus which was great but then there was a slow wait to have our order taken with newer tables getting done first and with 2 impatient kids under 5 not helpful it then took ages for the food to come and we still had to chase for the kids ice cream we then had a long wait for the bill . Saying all that it is a lovely setting we weren’t in a rush just impatient kids and the food and drinks were good and good value just think service needs to be a bit more organised and in the right table order

Wow! The best gluten free cream tea I’ve ever tasted! The large warm scone was home made and came with plenty of jam and cream. I chose breakfast tea- enough there was enough for 4 cups! My husband had rose tea only but delighted in watching me have cream tea for a change! The cost for this feast was under a tenner! The staff are very friendly and the setting is stunning - looking across to Telfords bridge. I’m so grateful for a gluten free cake that’s not a brownie or polenta! Cheers Tea Emporium!!!

Utterly delicious 😋. I'm coeliac & everyone couldn't have been more helpful. Myself & my friend had just popped out for a walk around Iron Bridge & this was a spontaneous drop in for a coffee & possibly lunch.
TBF, they offered me various GF options, but on a chill winter's walk I decided to have a jacket spud. Simple, but done so well it was just perfect.
My friend had a bap/salad (can't remember what was in it), but all they kept saying was how delicious it was.
Lovely coffee too.
Totally recommended 👍.

Looked at the review and thought we would have a walk down and try. Bloody awful! The place was absolutely freezing, no heating and uncomfortable to sit in. The waitress was walking round shivering and the ambient air was cold. You could see you own breath. The breakfast it’s self wasn’t anything special either. The sausage was only just warm, the butter was that hard it ripped the toast which came out 5 mins before the breakfast. The tomatoes was not vine toms as the picture shows. They were normal half green under cooked. For £11 for a breakfast and coffee it was awful. The first and last time we go there 👎

Thank you for your feedback although not the best.. It would have been appreciated if you had voiced your concerns at the time and given us a chance to rectify matters. .... We certainly believe that your comment of Bloody awful was very harsh..The heaters had only been switched on approximately 30 minutes prior to your arrival and with a building as old as ours it takes a while to heat up , ( It was - 4 outside ) With regard to ' vine tomatoes ' , the customers pictures ( not ours) that you have presumably looked at were from 2015/16 and TripAdvisor have not taken the previous owners pictures off as requested. Furthermore our menu does not specify' vine tomatoes' .......However we will take your comments on board ..Thanks again

Decided to try the Tea Emporium in the square in Ironbridge after our family walk, we sat inside and were greeted by friendly staff with drink and food menu, nice amount of choice on both menus two of us had traditional breakfast which also came with toast you choose brown or white bread and hubby had a tuna mayo sandwiche it seemed a little pricey but actually when the food came out you could see where your money was spent. The sausage and bacon were premium meat as were the eggs you also had beans, mushrooms too thoroughly enjoyed it, not floating in grease either.
My husband enjoyed his sandwiche freshly made filling and plenty of it,
it was accompanied by a side salad, coleslaw and crisps which he also thoroughly enjoyed.
We will be back and we highly recommend to anyone.

Lovely spot, although having a dog seating is outside only. Not a big deal unless it's raining. Breakfasts are delicious and they serve a very nice brand of coffee. Best ever homemade scones.
Staff are polite and helpful. Great!

We are a group of 4 .
We sat outside , our friends preferred just to stay and order a food in there . So the four of us made an order .
Whilst waiting for the order , I wandered round and bought a breaded sausage just for myself then went back to join my friends .
Whilst .. tried to eat and the food half way to my mouth , a man came from the shop that we were waiting for the order came round . The approached was so wrong … he just said that food that is not bought on the shop should not be consume .
The fact is we were waiting for the food that is being ordered in the shop to be served .
I will NOT recommend this place . With the attitude and sheer arrogance which is unacceptable .

How you have the audacity to write this review is totally beyond us..
You think that it is okay to bring and eat food in our premises that has been purchased elsewhere ???
NO IT IS NOT okay...
Now let us tell the TRUTH of what really happened today..
FOUR of you sat at an outside table and ordered 3 drinks and 1 food order..
Both yourself and a gentleman then proceeded to eat food purchased from the nearby chip shop , which is totally unacceptable , and downright RUDE... Would you go into a Chinese restaurant and start eating an Indian Takeaway ?
Would you go into ' Miller and Carter ' and start eating a KFC takeaway !!!?? WE guess NOT..
I then approached your table and asked you POLITELY not to eat food purchased from elsewhere in our premises..Furthermore pointing out our sign quite clearly stating this..The gentleman then stopped eating his ' fish and chips' apologised and stated that he had not seen the sign.
Whether or not the sign had been seen or not is really irrelevant...You just do not do this ..It is RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL.
Believe me when I say " you will not be welcome " in our premises so don't worry about returning..

We visited yesterday & had a traditional breakfast which was hot, tasty & beautifully presented. We were made to feel welcome from the time we were met at the entrance to our leaving. Nothing seemed too much trouble & when our breakfasts arrived we were asked if we wanted anything else & to ask if we changed our minds. We can understand why all tables inside & out were full as the customer service was impeccable & made us feel special. We highly recommend. Thank you for making our visit a really pleasant experience which stood out from the mediocre receptions we’ve had eating out at other venues the last few months.
