Tried to call to book a table, no answer - left a message and no call back - we called in to the pub to have a meal while travelling back to Southampton only to have to wait 10 minutes to even be attended to...and even then I have to interrupt to get some sort of attention from a member of staff - we asked for a table and there were plenty of tables available both inside and out but got the message that they weren't serving food to anyone walking in. I am aware of Covid that we have to social distance but in this instance there was no excuse and it wasn't although they were soon closing or soon to stop serving food as it was 7.30pm. maybe the management need to look into this and train staff better in regards to style of customer service (did hear the girl that eventually served us that she was leaving - maybe she just couldn't care less anymore). Thankfully we found a pub 5 minutes down the road that did welcome us and we had a very enjoyable mealMore

Had a lovely time at the Greyhound. The food came reasonable quick and was tasty. Thank you to Shannen, our server who was great!

Food was lovely , however, we weren’t asked if everything was ok, nor asked if we wanted more drinks and when we asked for desert menu no one returned to take the order so left without having one. No excuse for this as not particularly...busy.More

This restaurant needs a refurbishment: the walls are grubby and the furniture is worn. Food? Abysmal: overcooked and dry Hunter's chicken. My husband ended up with an over cooked dry burger. Triple cooked chips? I was given a plate with a paltry amount of tough...and dry chips. Maybe quadruple heated chips? Desert salted caramel sundae: over whipped cream, solid in fact, then dumped on top of some ice cream and a tiny bit of brownie; next to no sauce - just awful. Would not visit this place again. The people on the next table were complaining about tough steak and the table on the other side were complaining about the fact they couldn't use a voucher deal and it hadn't been properly explained to them. What a dismal experience.More

We had a really lovely meal here tonight , the food was delicious . What really impressed us though was the staff , the whole team seemed genuinely happy . Every single team member had a smile on their face and really seemed to care...about giving good customer service . A special mention goes to Anton , Hilary and Suraj . A good team makes such a difference when dining out , thank you !More

My friend and I visited in August and were blown away by the friendly, funny and kind service from both Jodie and Lauren. It has been our local for years and this was our best experience by far. Nothing was too much trouble, they both...went the extra mile from start to end. They are brilliant assets to your team.More

This was our second meal here, first since the pandemic started. The food is lovely, excellent variety of meal options, exquisitely cooked which you don't always get from a chain pub. Staff were friendly and efficient. We were waited in by Darcey.

The food was very good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Couldn’t fault the experience tonight. The food and drinks were a little slow coming out but very good quality once it arrived at the table
