We have been to Vietnam and looked forward to tasting the food again, we were not disappointed. Luckily for us it was near our hotel but if you are catching the tube Farringdon underground is 5 minutes walk away. Food was tasty and just the right level of spice. Our starter of squid was cooked to perfection We had a nice bottle of red wine at £18. The wife said her Pho Bo was just like what we had in Vietnam. Portions were on the large side. The bill was a very reasonable £57.

This place is a gem and cannot be recommended highly enough. Order the Mixed Meat Sharing Platter (2+) Starter which includes awesome Shaking Beef, 'netted' Spring Rolls, Papaya Salad with Vietnamese Beef Jerky and Pork Ribs. The rare beef Pho is the best we've had anywhere. Excellent service, clean and faultless. We'll be back.

Went to Ngon Ngon with my son and his girlfriend to celebrate seeing them properly since before lockdown over a year. I have not had Vietnamese food before. Our waitress was attentive, friendly and gave us lots of help with what to choose. The food was beautifully cooked, the portions were generous. The food was absolutely delicious with a subtle use of spices and herbs. And the vn beers were good too. The restaurant itself is colourful and light and without annoying background music. Many customers were Vietnamese. Thank you Ngon Ngon for a lovely evening!

If this review was based on food, the rating would be much better. We went here after a football game, time was around 21:45 and we asked if they are open, answer was yes they're open for 15 minutes more, so we sat down. Knowing the place was going to close soon, I didn't waste any time and quickly went through the menu and was ready to order in short time. I opted for spring rolls as a starter, followed by a noodle dish to share and a sizzling plate of duck and ginger as a main. As soon as she took the order, she said she's going to bring everything together, she seemed so much in a hurry so I didn't mind much. The food was good, I cannot say anything bad because the quality of the food would make me return to this place, duck very tender and tasty, spring rolls crunchy and honestly stuffed, noodles with a good combination of ingredients. The problem is that we were being rushed, we weren't even asked if we wanted a coffee or another drink, bill was thrown on the table without even asking for it. A table sitting next to us were even informed that they're going to close while they were still eating, something I consider to be rude. Hopefully the staff will learn some manners, it's better not to accept customers rather than making everything possible to make them leave your place. You're supposed to be in the hospitality sector and these are the people that make your business go round. Well done for the food, but having good food only is not enough.

We visited with my 9month old baby. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The food was really nice, I would recommend the meat sharing platter to start. Great value for money, we will definitely be back.

Outstanding quality food and service. I've been to many Vietnamese restaurants in London and this is easily the best I've experienced. Things I liked were the salt and peppered squid was made with large fresh juicy pieces not the usual small frozen rubbery scraps. The vegetable spring rolls were super crunchy with an interesting 'shredded' rice noodle coating coloured in orange stripes. Very unique and very tasty. The Pho was superb, very deep flavour - a different class to the broth served at the chain restaurant called 'Pho'. Also, they had a special with monkfish which I've not seen before. Overall a memorable dining experience and very good value. Looking forward to our return.

We have eaten here several times, usually having duck pho or one of the pork bun dishes. We love the pho as it always tastes great but also feels pretty 'clean' and healthy. Today we had duck in black pepper sauce and the mango seabass. The duck was served sliced in a sweet, thick black pepper sauce with rice, and the sea bass was a whole fish, butterflies and boned in the middle, fried and filled with an amazing garlic and chilli sweet vinegar sauce and topped with julienne of mango. Perhaps not for vampires! As always we started with some spring rolls which I would guess are amongst the best in London. As ever, the service was excellent, and the chap with glasses who seems to run things is a complete genius in getting everything working in what is a pretty small space. Prices are also very reasonable indeed, especially for this part of London. Outstanding all round, and I can't recommend highly enough.

A wonderful little eaterie for today's lunch. We enjoyed a set of summer rolls and meat spring rolls for a starter followed by duck pho...all presented very well. Full of flavour and freshly made. Would definitely return!

Popped in with a serious craving for delicious Vietnamese food. Left very very satisfied with braised pork, spring rolls and sizzling duck in our tummy’s. Lemonade with passion fruit was also amazing. We are coming back.

Have to say its one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I've been to in London. We had the salt and peppered squid, Vietnamese spring rolls and vegetable spring rolls for starters. For main I had Ha Noi fish and it was delicious. All topped off with great service. Definitely recommend.

Nice bright restaurant with dual aspect. Salt and pepper squid could have been more salty and peppery, but the two Pho’s were loverly and tasted very authentic. 3 different Vietnamese beers were on offer. A nice eclectic mix of customers. Staff very friendly and helped me with my very poor Vietnamese language skills. We had booked a table for two, which on arrival seemed a bit of over kill, but it soon filled up , so we were glad we did. The tables by the window are great for people watching as the hustle pass in the street.

Came here as a family for an evening meal. We were a little hesitant walking in with how packed it looked for the table we would get, but throughly impressed as two people to get a four-person table. The staff were absolutely lovely and showed us to the table, gave us water while we ordered and were very accomodating. We ordered the beetel beef leaf and chicken satay to share between us ( both lovely), a bottle of rose and a beef pho and sizzling beef with rice individually— all of which were lovely. The bill wasn’t ridiculous either. Very impressed and would return again happily next time we are around the area!

It’s a while since we last visited this place and it’s obviously become a lot more popular. Can’t say I’m surprised as the food is very good. We arrived promptly at 6pm, having booked a table for that time and the restaurant was still fairly quiet. However it quickly started to fill up while we were there. All the food we ordered was freshly cooked and delicious, so no complaints there. However we were rushed through our meal, our main courses arriving before we’d finished our starters. The same thing happened with the bill, which was presented to us before we’d asked for it and as soon as the plates had been cleared. The attitude was very much, “You’ve finished your food. Now give us your money and get out because we have people waiting.” It was all a bit rude and rather ruined what was supposed to be a social evening with friends. We were in and out in just over an hour. If this is the service we can expect I doubt we’ll be going back, however good the food is.

Good god where do I begin... we had the nicest Vietnamese style food outside of Vietnam. True, authentic food and lovely, friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I would recommend you order a couple of dishes and share them out amongst your group. We will be visiting next time we are back in London😊

Authentic Vietnamese cuisine here - perfect vegetable spring rolls and a delicious broth for pho. Vietnamese style filter coffee and a fresh menu with offers I don’t always see with other Vietnamese places. Will definitely revisit

Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
