Lovely spot- we pooped in just for a quick lunch. The place is nice and the staff were friendly and helpful.
We only had time for a quick lunch but the menu looks good for a lot more and for a good evening meal.
The Front room deserved a really good review anyway but I would also like to thank the staff member who chased us down in the street with my daughter’s bag.

Would have liked cake as well as tea, but nothing doing and I didn't fancy toast. Still, the tea came in a pot (always nicer), easily enough for 2 cups.

Always good for a beer or coffee but food is average and breakfast a little expensive. Very nice friendly staff but toilets very old and dirty that put us off eating here again.....

Went on a Sunny day to this resturant with friends The .idea was to have a sandwich or too as we have eaten there before.
We had an outside table, giving us a feel of a continental cafe.
The main waitress bought out the menus including a Thai menu. We had a chat with her and she recommended the Thai options. We were glad she did, the dishes were excellent.
Service was excellent too.

Beautiful sunny August morning. Great atmosphere, busy but still enough seating both indoors and outside. Love the decor, white walls and ceiling with grey stylish seats and bifold patio doors which allows plenty of air circulation on a hot day. The ladies toilets were pristine. We’re greeted by a warm and welcoming young lady about 18/20 who took our drink order. My cappuccino was excellent and really tasted of good quality coffee. I ordered the poached eggs on avocado toast. The sourdough toast was light and crunchy and the 2 poached eggs were perfectly done. It’s rare I am impressed by poached eggs as they can be over cooked, but these were beautiful. There was rocket salad too which I love. I finished every last bite. The young lady and man serving were in demand but were professional, friendly and looked happy to be there. All in all a delightful experience and with the music and sunshine, felt like I was on holiday for a short while. Will definitely be going back as the menu looks varied and delicious.

Arrived for early lunch.
Very busy so best to book.
Staff are lovely and the food is fab!
We ordered omelette & chips, eggs Benedict and a full English.
The omelette was soft & fluffy, the chips were so good.
The eggs Benedict had 2 perfectly poached eggs, crisp bacon & lush sauce.
The full English was huge!
Coffee great too.
We can’t wait to return.
100% recommended.

Had a fantastic lunch in the Front Room this weekend. Great choice on the menu from the most delicious thai dishes to salads and sandwiches and more. Amazing service from Louise and a shout out to Zac for the delicious lunch you cooked for us. The Front Room has a great atmosphere with fantastic staff and always make you feel welcome. Would highly recommend for breakfast/lunch or a drink on the cosy outdoor chairs in the evening.

Have just popped into the front room after a night out up town to watch a show....its right opposite chingford station..was just going to have a couple of coffees but decided to have a breakfast..i had the full english and my wife had the eggs benedict..with bacon..both meals were spot on..my full english was the best i have eaten anywhere..i did not have the hash browns. i dont think they belong on a full english..just my preference.top notch ingredients so a little more expensive but well worth it.ive paid more at a cafe and ended up leaving it foreign cafes cant cook a full english .and my wife said that hers was the best she has had as well..the service was great as well ..so thank you louise for a great brekky we will be back....john and tina

Absolutely shocking behaviour from the bar staff. I was sat at a table with no drink and forced to buy a drink or be kicked out as apparently it “was not allowed to be sat in the venue with no drink”. I find this completely unacceptable as I had my limit of drink for the night yet was forced to go to the bar and buy a drink or be kicked out and end my night with my friends. I find it extremely inappropriate and irresponsible to be forcing customers to buy drinks or leave. The rest of the night was great and the rest of the bar staff were lovely, but the one lady who I assume was manager that night behaved completely inappropriate. No one should be forced to buy a drink especially after being there for the entire night spending over £300 as a group, yet still be threatened to be kicked out for sitting at the table with no drink. The lady is photographed in the pic, if you see her she’s a nasty piece of work.

Turned up to what I wanted to be a nice mothers day breakfast for my wife. Two young daughters with us. Left standing at door and everyone ignoring us. Ended up assuming the table with my name spelt Kray on it was ours. No interaction and left us sitting there for 30 mins not even coming over to offer a drink or anything, yet 3 other couples and one family come in and get served straight away. Tried to get attention of waitress and the guy struggling to make a coffee 3 times whilst spilling it trying to put it down. Still no acknowledgment so by this time we decided to get up and leave. Mother’s Day breakfast ruined. They could see us get up and rather than apologise they decided to giggle amoung themselves. That’s what happens when you leave kids in charge.

Ordered food online asked for no sauce as allergic to it and they still put the sauce on after I made it clear it could kill me guess they thought it would be funny

We take matters like this extremely serious as we take great care when dealing with orders that include allergens. We have investigated this case thoroughly. We understand that you asked for sauce to be on the side instead of on the wings as it makes them 'soggy'. We do apologise for this and hope it did not ruin your meal. Although, there was no mention of allergies at all in the notes but and even the sauce that is used does not have any allergens present. Reviews like these are extremely harmful to a business, please reconsider your review.

I have eaten here several times and it has always been good, but lately it's got even better..
The breakfast is to die for, it's not the cheapest, but if you want cheap go to a greasy spoon, the have a good selection of wine (which my wife drank lots of) and Estrella on tap, which is my favourite, the location is good and the staff are friendly and attentive.. we will definitely be back and I recommend you try

I love this bar and the breakfasts are the best ! The staff always friendly and accomodating. Play good music and always have good amount of gin selections and Fever Tree Tonics - would recommend a visit.

My friend and I came here a few weeks ago with our 1 year old children for an early lunch. We came in and instantly felt like a bit of a problem as we turned up with 2 (well behaved) children.
Every time we asked the waitress for something (like a menu) she would literally put on the table and quickly walk off. I must of asked for the kids menu and lunch menu about 3 times.
Anyway, we got in at 11:35 and we wanted to order off of the kids menu and they said we couldn't do this til 12, even though the restaurant was completely empty we couldn't place our children’s lunch order until 12. What was we supposed to do with two 1 year olds who want to eat. The only alternative was to order off the adult breakfast menu.
The restaurant was empty and the chef can’t have been busy. If I was the manager I would have been furious if my staff didn't apply some discretion. Anyway we went and had a lovely meal in Belgique and that's £45 the front room lost out on and 2 potential customers. We always take our babies out on a Friday for lunch as it’s our one day off a week and we know not to return. Not a child friendly place at all.
