About
Located on the busy main road leading into Ambleside town centre Stiles Coffee Bar is a stylish licensed cafe offering locally roasted coffees, high quality loose leaf teas and freshly prepared food. Our coffee is roasted in Keswick by Carvetti. This coupled with our wide selection of beers, wines and cider along with a varied menu offering varied breakfasts, lunch and sharing platters make Stiles the ideal place to rest after a busy day on the fells or by the lake. Finally, we have our very own afternoon tea on a wooden Lake District stile (pre-booking required!). See many more details in our food section. We are a family run cafe and will do everything we can to cater for any specific needs

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in this lovely small eatery in Ambleside. Dog friendly, great coffee, immaculate toilets, very friendly staff and really delicious Cumberland sausage!!

An OK small restaurant with attentive staff. I welcomed the vegetarian breakfast option on the menu, which was good. There was a home made vegetarian soup as well as Heinze tomato. Not a sophisticated restaurant but we would return for similar.

Brought my mum here for lunch today and yet again no disappointment. Food is always amazing and the Salted Caramel Frappe was to die for. Highly recommended.

Caters well for vegans - my partner and I were able to order vegan full English breakfasts and dairy free iced lattes so we were very happy! Only marked down a point as it seemed very expensive for two breakfasts and drinks (at £27) but...maybe that’s normal for a popular tourist spot. The food was great anyway.More

Positives: Staff were excellent, very chatty and engaged, service was quick and the menu has a nice amount of variety in it. Clean venue, nice hand soap in the bathrooms and some vegan options. Negatives: The scrambled eggs were like indigestible sponges. Microwaved and dehydrated....Definitely do not put yourself through this, choose something else.More

Again I indulged in the fabulous Stiles breakfast. As a local working in a similar industry, I often get asked for breakfast recommendations. I feel slightly proud when I say Stiles as I know my customers wil not be let down
