Watery, tasteless pizza. Tasted like a cheap tin of tomatoes. Ordered a “create your own” in which I was charged for mozerella and tomato (the base).. unfriendly and unapproachable service.

Tucked away in a leafy corner of Clarence Park this unassuming Italian has an extensive menu to cater for all tastes and budgets. The food was excellent, my husband had mussels to start , a massive portion and absolutely delicious. In fact the portions were...so generous we could have shared. As well as numerous fish and meat dishes they also do a number of pizzas and pastas. Service was friendly and efficient. How could this restaurant be virtually empty on a Saturday evening? Please support this wonderful place. We are already planning our next trip to have the lobster!More

Penne with Tomato Sauce : watery tasteless sauce - very average. Tasted like it’s from the cheapest jar. Zucchini Fritti :stodgy great lumps of courgette covered in soggy batter. Inedible. Zucchini Stodgo. Is Chef checking anything before it’s served ?

Literally they don't care, ordered through Uber app and been charged for food which was labelled as delivered ,and charged on my credit card for it but never received it .Called the restaurant and they basically said we don't care to help nor not interested, kitchen...refused order because they shut down ....so I have waited one hour for food to be delivered and wasted my time yet nobody announced me to let me know about the situation, basically they girl who answered couldn't care less .I don't know if this Uber fault or restaurant but it is very unprofessional. Or maybe they closed early to watch the game and they just didn't care about the customers who are paying their wages. Extremely disappointed.More

Ordered a delivery from a 'delivery company' which was mysteriously cancelled!!!! One lady in particular was amazing and delivered our order herself within 20 mins. The Bruschetta was the best I have ever had, and the pizzas were fab too. Will definitely go to the...restaurant for a meal - well done Verdi's and thank you.More

£7.10 for a cappuccino, latte and a kitkat takeaway in the park! If it was good quality you could brush it off but it was foul. Asked for a dry cappuccino and a latte. The latte was Luke warm and so my son glugged it...down before the first bench. My dry cappuccino is literally the worst I have ever been served. It was a Luke warm latte with chocolate on the top. Don’t ask for the top price for a coffee if you don’t know how to make one. Pay to train your staffMore

Food arrived luke warm and undercooked. Expensive for a outside meal on a picnic table. Will give this place a miss in the future.

I have just enjoyed the most delicious take away I have ever had. We had pasta, pizza and steak which was all top class, the steak was cooked to perfection! This was topped of with honeycomb, salted caramel and Hazelnut ice cream - they have...over 25 flavours to choose from. Thanks Verdi’s I’ll be back and would recommend you to anyone reading this!More

Do not visit if you are with children - you’ll be made to feel unwelcome. I tried to visit for lunch with my two children last week, and was told that unless we had a reservation they couldn’t fit us in. It was midday on...a Monday, and there were two tables occupied. I understand that recent changes have forced restaurants to change their table layout but couldn’t believe it was even worth them opening if they could only take two bookings at a time. It was very apparent to me that they’re not family friendly, so go elsewhere if you’ve got kids with you. Shame really, with the playground and space in Clarence park I feel like they’d have much bigger market if they positioned themselves as a family restaurant!More

It has now reopened!! Different management though, the previous owner Lello is not there anymore. I haven't tried the "new" Verdi yet.
