Met here with the team from work for breakfast. Light and spacious inside, with plenty of space between tables. Drinks served promptly (including my favourite Monmouth Coffee) and the food was amazing... everything looked delicious and I loved my avo on sourdough with crispy bacon. Can't wait to visit again in a non-work context to try some other items on the menu - all of which were very reasonably priced.
Parking is available in the nearby roads, however there is no where for bikes, which is a shame.

This is a gem of a coffee house which is actually my local cafe which serves the Upper Shirley community of families with young ones mid week and the couples at weekends, well , it's not quite so demographic but you get my drift. It's very staff friendly, can get quite busy late mornings but when I visit around 2 pm , its perfect. I ask for a cortado with oat milk extra hot, always hits the spot, they use Monmouth coffee, from reputable Covent Garden roaster - it's top quality and taste! They don't big up the food as Michelin star but i sometimes eat a a mozarella toastie with pesto, sun dried tomatoes and gerkin , and it's kinda tasty funky !! But they do bake their cakes, they buy in a have nifty vegan brownie that's my thing and they also are hot on get Hoxton sour dough bread , cinnamon buns and croissants for choice.
What's to beat locally than this cafe, it's the bees knees !!

Had a lovely party for my daughter (afternoon tea and crafts). The girls all really enjoyed themselves, they all had smoothies instead of tea along with all the lovely sandwiches and cakes and scones of course :-) The staff were really lovely and nothing was too much. We were looked after so well by all the team and would recommend to anyone. Really beautiful coffee shop with lovely friendly staff. Thank you for making my daughters day so special.

It's a nice, clean, airy cafe connected to a Church with friendly staff. Some of the circular tables for 2 people are very small and cramped. The food I have sampled on a couple of visits was well cooked but pretty bland. The bean chilli topping for a jacket potato was tasteless. The soups offered could do with a good pinch of seasoning to elevate them. There's nothing really wrong with the place but it just feels that the food is lacking in taste and flavour and it wouldn't take much to improve it.

Dropped in here for a sandwich and coffee.. Lovely warm welcome and very friendly staff.
There’s a 2 hour table limit, so I advised staff that my lady was delayed and they said no problem. I ordered a cappuccino and waited..
When she arrived we ordered a sarnie… WoW so fresh tasty and filling..
Ordered another coffee and chatted..
Staff were so professionals doing polite, ambiance as calm food amazing!!

Superb popular cafe based in the entrance hall of the Methodist Church in St James Road. You can park on the side road or in the car park out the back. Tables are laid out with plenty of space between them so you are not sitting on top of other people. It gets very busy at certain times but rightly so as coffee is under ÂŁ3 (cheaper than Costa) and very good. Staff are polite & helpful. Very popular with locals ever since it opened. Will have to eat something next time I drop by!

Been coming here twice a week for probably four years. Fantastic staff, coffee is great and the club sandwich is perfection. It’s a wonderfully community minded business too. And great for taking our young family too.

Wonderful family friendly cafe attached to a church. Although only open Tuesday to Saturday it serves a nice fresh selection of food in a high roofed spacious environment.

The perfect brunch spot! Had a gorgeous bacon roll, my husband a bacon sandwich and my daughter the best bacon and avocado on toast. However what makes this place special are the charming staff.

Following a recommendation I decided to give this place a try. Although it is about 10 miles from where I live, the trip was well worth it. This is a small coffee shop that is very community focussed. The staff were friendly and welcoming, I ordered a bacon sandwich and an "Americano" coffee. The bacon sandwich was delicious and made to go with their coffee. The coffee is the best I have tasted in and around Southampton, some of the bigger coffee shops could learn a lot from here. It is now my go to place whenever I want to treat myself.

We've been coming here since it opened. The food, cakes and coffee are all fabulous. Bacon sandwiches - lovely, coffee rich and cakes tasty. It quite small but has a really nice cosy atmosphere without being too "clicky local". I did read another review that said it was a bit tired. Actually, it is a little - a quick spruce wouldn't go amiss. However that aside, the drinks and food are worth the visit.

A very friendly place serving good good and coffee.
But the actual place isn't very clean. Cushions dirty, in need of washing. Menu cards curled up and stained with food. Skirting boards, table and chairs in need of a really good wash down.
The place has so much potential , it's a great shame that these things even notice.
