We've been going to this cafe regularly since it was taken over by it's current owners. It's a lovely place to eat; clean, good service and the food is always good. The staff are always polite, the owners always interested in the food they produce and also take an interest in their patrons as people and not just as an income. It's nice to come in off the street and be greeted by a smiling face. Highly recommended. Oh and the music is great too; not in your face, just there in the background.

Whilst in Winton on a wet Wednesday we spotted this cafe in a side street and went in.
They offer an extensive menu of hot and cold meals to sandwiches and cakes.
The staff were friendly and welcoming. We ordered a tuna mayo sandwich and a ham and tomato sandwich. Both came with a side salad and crisps. We also ordered coffee.
The whole place was spotlessly clean including the toilets.
Really enjoyed the whole experience. Prices were reasonable and we would definitely recommend and return without hesitation.

I visit this amazing cafe often to meet up with my mum and Nan for lunch. The staff go above and beyond to make us welcome, delivering mouthwatering dishes.
They are constantly cleaning which is reassuring in these difficult times.

I have been a frequent visitor to the bay tree for many years, and have always been happy with service and quality of food. Until today!!
I took my son, who has special needs for lunch, he also has nice memories of the cafe . We ordered and were given our drinks, we waited for the food and was aware that other people were receiving their food way before us. The owner came to me and said “ I have given someone your food it will have to be cooked again” no apology!! We waited again, I asked the owner in a polite manner how much longer it was likely to be, he answered “ why you got somewhere to go, you need to be somewhere, you in a rush, go if you want” It will be about ten minutes.”This was all said in an abrupt manner, other people in the cafe were commenting and saying how rude he was., after 45 minutes of waiting our food was put in front of us. I politely asked “ please can we have another drink as we have been waiting for so long” he said again in an angry tone” it’s not going to be complimentary as you have only waited 15 minutes, the lady on the next table said “ this is digusting”, he shouted looking at me and saying “it’s not disgusting “ I and other people said it was not me that said it, he continued to rant, saying I am not having this said in my cafe, Due to my son becoming anxious / agitated . I got up and left the cafe, other customers were saying “ we don’t blame you”.
What should of been a nice experience with my son ended up stressful and upsetting. I am aware that the cafe is up for sale, there is no excuse to treat customers in this way. I will never return to this cafe while the present owners are running it.
I hope the owner will think about his reaction and the anxiety that he has caused to a vulnerable adult.

I went with my son today, never been before, but absolute quality. The best ingredients, the best chef, and the best service, we could see that this place has a great following becase of their quality in every sense of direction, and i applaud them for it. Yes even if the place is up for sale, any new owner would struggle to live up to their standards, and i defy anybody to better it

We visited this fabulous little cafe the 2 mornings we were in Bournemouth to visit our son who has just moved there for uni. The owner is so lovely and welcoming. Coffees are lovely and all the food we ordered was spot on especially the carrot cake made by the owner. Will be having breakfast there every time we are in Bournemouth.

Found this absolute gem tucked away in Winton and we will definitely be going back. Dan was such a pleasure serving us their mammoth breakfast @ÂŁ8.50 which didn't disappoint. Tom managed to squeeze us in, so would advise booking a table in advance. We will be trying their lunch menu once they're back from their holiday (Feb 28th till March 22nd). Thank you Dan and Tom for a wonderful breakfast, hugs Andy and Miles xxx

My friends and myself meet up here regularly for a cosy lunch and we absolutely love it! Tasty food, nothing is too much trouble from the friendly owners, (you are made to feel like personal friends) and it’s excellent value for money too. It is best to book at lunchtimes as tables fill quickly though. Cakes are homemade too. Looking forward to our next visit.

Our Visit here was wonderful. All food is cooked Fresh and served with excellent service. You can tell all food is Homemade as no expense is spared when you see the quality and taste the richness of the food. The specials Board is not to be missed, several exciting options definitely worth trying. Impeccable service, the guys really go out of their way to surpass expectations and have a laugh with you.

Absolutely deserves the #1 breakfast spot in Bournemouth (even if it was a 20min drive from the hotel).
Great service, tasty freshly cooked food, great setting, and really nice people working to make it a pleasure!!
Full breakfast was excellent, cooked to order and each element was hot and freshly cooked.
Also had a taste of a fabulous cheese omelette which was so good I had to talk with the chef who explained it was a souffle omelette - amazing.
Hats off to both Tom and Dan (Jerry) for a great meal, and also for being so welcoming and conversational, they had me in stitches and really do know how to provide a fantastic meal experience, great service at great value.
Plus the place is spotlessly clean (I checked the bathroom, kitchen and dining area).

Just round the corner from winton high street. Been coming here for years with my family. Not as often as we'd like. Have never left disappointed. This time here for brekkie, my daughter will only eat their poached eggs on toast. Even eats the crusts.

Went here for breakfast with my mum and dad. Friendly service and excellent breakfast. good quality bacon and sausage. Fried eggs cooked to perfection (nice and runny)Great tea and coffee Spotlessly clean. Would definitely return as such good value for money too. You will not be disappointed

Our food was well cooked and the service was friendly and attentive. The owners have created a warm atmosphere which made our visit all the more pleasant. Even though they do not have much in the way of vegan options, they did all they could to give us a vegan meal. Many thanks.

My partner and I have been eating here for the last 3 or 4 months. The food is always good, and of a high quality. The place is welcoming, clean and friendly, and the prices very reasonable for the quality of the food. The owner always greets us with a smile and we’ve enjoyed some lovely lunches here.
Their Sticky Toffee Pudding is amazing! The best Sticky Toffee Pud I’ve ever had.
Would highly recommend this place to others…an oasis in Winton.

Down from Manchester with my Father and Sister for a family funeral. A Sombre occasion, but we needed a light lunch before going to the crematorium. The staff were courteous and helpful; the family has varied dietary needs and my elderly Father prefers a small portion, but none of this phased anyone.
