Pho Bournemouth is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant with loads of vegan and gluten free options. We specialise in pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup, and also serve delicious curries, rice dishes, wok-fried noodles and healthy salads, too. We also have loads of starters that are perfect for sharing with friends and family. Over a third of our menu is vegan, and nearly all of it is gluten-free, so we are a great destination for people who follow those particular diets. We are accredited by Coeliac UK. Aside from our lovely food we offer a brilliant range of healthy juices, as well as delicious wine and beer, and a fantastic cocktail menu too. If you're unable to dine-in, you can click & collect your order, or find us on Deliveroo. We look forward to welcoming you!

Very nice and authentic Vietnamese restaurant serving great food and and has a very nice atmosphere. The service here is brilliant. Pierina is a very professional, efficient and polite server who made some great recommendations and looked after us really well. She definitely made our experience there very enjoyable and she is a credit to the organisation. Creative menu choice, generous sized portions and a perfect city centre location all add up to make this a very enjoyable venue to visit.

We were being served by someone fairly new so there were a few glitches such as one of our starters missing but was rectified and apologised for. Service seemed a bit slow for everyone though. Food tasted great, was freshly cooked and was a very good portion size. We ordered a starter each and a Pho each with a side salad. We certainly didn't need the side dish and probably would have been fine with sharing a starter!

My partner found this restaurant on Google when we were looking for places to eat on a trip to Bournemouth whilst on holiday.
I hadn't really tried Vietnamese food before but was excited to give it a go.
I wasn't disappointed!. Wow !. The food was amazing!. Fresh , tasty , good value and according to my partner whos been to Vietnam a few times , its the closest found to the authentic cuisine that has found in Vietnam.
I had beef betal which was lovely. I tried some of my partners beef pho and it changed my mind completely on meat in soup. It tasted amazing 👏.
Usually I steer clear because I find it doesn't taste very good ( am not vegetarian, meat soup just isnt something I enjoy Usually) .
I will definitely try again andother Vietnamese food, it was amazing .
Am just sorry we don't have any restaurant so nice where I live and that Its so hard to find decent, authentic food whilst eating out that I might not find one I like as much again.
The staff were very knowledgeable on dishes. I heard the server discussing what another customer might like as she was asking for recommendations. Also very friendly, polite, efficient, professional and welcoming.

Menu looked great, but food bland, although it was well presented. Pork and lemongrass meatballs tasted of the deep fat fryer, not pork and lemongrass. Nouc Cham too vinegary, no balance between other ingredients. Wine glasses would have been nice as well, instead of the tumblers we were given. Staff attentive and helpful though, couldn’t fault the service, and were excellent regarding food allergies, hence why we paid the service charge added to our bill, despite the average food.
There are much better independent, family run Vietnamese / Asian restaurants like Eat Pho and Sambal Tumis serving tastier, better made food a ten minute walk away from here.

On entry you are informed they only take cards, not a problem for me, but may loose some customers and likely to be outlawed soon. I ordered a house Vietnamese soup, which I thought was very good. My wife had the chicken and prawn noodles, prawns amounted to three not very big prawns. She described the chicken as dry. She was not impressed with her meal and wished she had ordered a soup. My wife said that the toilets were ‘disgusting’. Staff very friendly and attentive. The suggested tip was 15%, but given the chicken and toilets I decided that 10% was sufficient, but neither nor the waitress seemed able to alter this on their bespoke payment device, eventually after three attempts another member of staff managed to enable a mode that allowed, me, the customer to decided the tip, it was close to the tip being 0% at this stage, but I still gave 10%. We seem to be following the US on tips, my view is tips are for excellent food and service and I think 10% should be the norm more or less depending on the quality of both. Two plates and two drinks just under £40 incl tip. Advertised as Vietnamese Street food!

As a restaurant, we do have schedules of procedures that need to be done, which are followed regularly. It is unfortunate you went after guest perhaps.
In terms of the tip, we normally let guest know, it is optional and removable. We have made sure our staff let guests know when time for payment arises.

Was excited to visit the new Pho in Bournemouth as a big fan of the chain so took the family out to give it a try.
Upon entering I wasn’t massively impressed with the cleanliness, the floor looked messy and there were tables with debris on. Staff were friendly and we were seated quickly. Placed our order and starters arrived fairly quickly and was as expected very yummy.
When our main courses arrived one had been forgotten. I said to the waitress there was one more to come and she mumbled something about going to check if there was. No one came over to apologise or let me know if or when the missing meal was arriving, and it’s just that sort of thing that spoils a meal out.
After about 5 minutes & no sign of any staff I left the table to look for someone & luckily the food was just coming although no apology or explanation. Not the worst restaurant experience & the food was tasty but it’s just that awkward feeling of not knowing if you are getting your meal and the rest of your group feeling bad for tucking into theirs.
The fit out definitely didn’t feel new either, everything felt a bit tired like it had come from another restaurant.
Back to Wagamama next time. Such a shame as I love the food at Pho, just the experience was lacking.

Last time we dined , it was ok bit expensive, this time I had few things I was disappointed about .
Firstly , the lady preparing the garnish was not wearing food gloves , it’s an open area where diners can see , a wash basin would be handy both for the children and adults to promote cleanliness and hygiene.
Secondly, the kids meal rice portion was not generous enough , attached is a photo and you can see the size difference from an adult portion , it was not even a quarter size , i thought it was an insult especially coming from an Asian background.
Thirdly, the optional service charge should be not be enforced unless it’s an option on the card reader , it’s was quite enormous 8.16 for a 73 pounds bill , that’s more than 10% of the bill .
I hope the senior management team will look into this and perhaps consider an interim plans and review some recommendations.

We were looking forward to trying this place unfortunately we won’t be back. Shared a spring roll starter, was ok. Both had noodle soups. Very tasteless, very low on noodles and meat content (I had the special). Would describe both as bland and totally uninspiring. Bill came with 12.5% discretionary service charge, had to ask for this to be adjusted. Best part of the meal was the beer, but even these were carelessly plonked on the table and we had to ask for a glass.

I went to Pho out of a recommendation from a friend, it was a Thursday dinner-time service, so busy with all the date-night couples and staff work parties. My partner and I started off nicely with some baby squid and chicken wings, and safe to say they were delicious. The whole meal in general was great, and the staff were so kind and helpful with explaining the menu and the dishes when we were served them. Honestly, I can't complain, just slightly on the pricy side but you can expect that as it's Bournemouth.

My gf doesn’t like spice, the food is cooked in chilli oil. You can’t change it, they also have more chilli oil on the table. This ruined the experience a little bit as she’s was really looking forward to the wok rice but instead had to get a rice bowl. The food was good but disappointed with the variety of options.

I've been here before and sat at the table again. I even got my own bib and water bowl. My Dad had the Summer Rolls which he devoured, not giving me any, daying they were the best he ever had. One member of the group had never eaten Vietnamese before and wasn't keen, but had his then finished his partners. Squid, spring rolls, beef in betel leaves and the pancake vanished. Not a tidbit for me!
Mains of Super Green Pho, Curry, Rice Bowls and other Pho were slurped down. I got a few bits of chicken, some pork, some prawn crackers and....not much else.
I want to go back to try more. My family says they'll take me soon as it's great value.

Had a take away and it was mediocre at best. Usually get extra bag of herbs and bean sprouts with your soups. Ordered the spicy chicken soup and it wasn’t spicy at all. Disappointing as normally really good when they first opened but now they are too busy to care about complaints too.

I visited Pho last week as part of a works night out and had a really lovely time.
The staff (Julia and John) were so attentive and knowledgeable on the dishes. As we had never been before this was a big help!
We ordered a number of dishes to share between the four of us and they did not dissapoint, especially the Seafood Spring Rolls and the amazing chocolate dessert.
Will definitely be back!

I’ve been lucky enough to choose pho at a couple of the UK’s best small cafe/restaurants so I know the broth should be amazing - full of flavour. This restaurants offering tasted like hot barely flavoured dish water. We enjoyed three fabulous starters but our meal was ruined by an utterly dreadful main course. Avoid like the plague.

We had a lovely meal at Pho Bournemouth. It’s nice to have a restaurant with so much variety and a completely different experience - Vietnamese food is so lovely! We had a lovely waitress, Janine, she was really attentive but also let us enjoy our meal. She was wonderful and showed a genuine interest in us as guests at Pho as well as explaining the menu. She is a credit to the restaurant and represents your company well. We have previously visited but will definitely be back again after the exceptional service and wonderful food. Thank you, Pho!
