Visited El Murrino Beachside today with a group of 16 of us to celebrate my niece’s birthday. It was sunny when we arrived and they had set up a great table for us all in the VIP area, all the staff were very friendly and helpful with great service. We ordered our food and unfortunately it started to pour with rain, the staff moved us under the umbrellas and asked us what we wanted to do, cancel, eat under the umbrellas or they had already reserved a table for us in the main restaurant in Bournemouth! We elected to stay so they brought complimentary garlic bread and said to wait and see if it got a bit better before serving food. Fortunately the weather improved so half an hour later they laid out all new dry seats for us and served the food. All the food was delicious and reasonably priced, we had an assortment of burgers and pizzas ( incl vegan and vegetarian options) and everything was brilliant. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive, we will certainly return!

We first stumble upon this restaurant on our way between the piers, stopped in for a pint and pizza on a scorcher of a day. Loved it so much we booked our birthday meal celebrations
Came back with the family (6 adults, 3 kids and a baby) for a meal and fireworks, perfect evening! The kids could play on the beach whilst we enjoyed our drinks as the sun went down, then enjoyed best seats in the house for the Friday fireworks!
Staff were attentive and friendly.
Very family friendly.

Really special venue, it’s a rarity, spectacular on beach location. We shared a birthday celebration with family, very attentive staff and great food, standard simple menu but never one’s was good.
Super evening, especially friendly staff member for us 😁

We’ve come here a few times and always had good experiences, but we came here around a week ago and I don’t think we’ll come back.
We ordered a chicken pizza, pepperoni and two margaritas (two of us are vegetarian) and the waitress brought over a chicken, 2 pepperoni and a margarita. I didn’t think it was a big deal and I tried to explain that we ordered two margaritas (as we’re veggie). The waitress proceeded to say ‘well this isn’t what the ticket says, you sure you didn’t say pepperoni’. I tried to explain that we wouldn’t have said pepperoni as neither of us eat meat but the waitress continued to suggest we had said pepperoni as that is what the ticket says and didn’t give us an option to change our meals. We ended up paying £77 for 4 pizzas and 2 drinks and I ended up picking the pepperoni off my pizza and basically only eating the crust. We were shocked the waitress could happily serve us the pepperoni knowing we couldn’t eat it when it was obviously not what we ordered…
We won’t be going back sadly.

Whilst it is a great location the pizzas were very dissapointing. The cheese used is poor quality, the type you would find from a cheap takeway. Also there was far too much cheese.
I have been to El Murrino on Old Christchurch Road many times in the past and have always had lovely pizzas. It seems that the pop up restaurant is set up with poor quality food for the tourist market. I will not be going to the pop up again.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and therefore I don’t recommend you come here. I visited here with my friends after checking a list of the best places for breakfast in Bournemouth. I saw this listed and foolishly thought this was the number one place, with a lovely beachside setting and a classic breakfast menu…..the location did not disappoint but everything else did.
We ordered our food and drink and were surprised that our drinks arrived in plastic cups. Our food arrived very quickly after and I have never seen avocado and eggs like it before- My egg yolks were a disturbing milky yellow colour and a concerning consistency which can only be compared to water. The avocado was so dark it really made the yellow pop. If the look of the food didn’t make it difficult to eat as it was, you’re given wooden cutlery to eat which is as much use as a chocolate teapot.
No one came to check if the food was ok or even asked when they cleared away the full plates which implies they already know the food is absolute garbage. If it hadn’t have been for the fact we had to pay got the food when we order, I would not have paid for my meal.
After looking back at the list of top places to have breakfast I realised this place has NOT been mentioned and in fact the reason I saw this place listed was due to a paid sponsorship, which, to be fair to them worked.
Don’t be fooled by the sponsored Ads or pictures of nice aesthetics and get your breakfast elsewhere.

What a location!
We finally got around to enjoying proper lunchtime pizzas on the beach at this high-season only pop-up beach Italian restaurant and bar.
Lovely welcome, choice of shade or sunny seating, very reasonably priced, (all pizzas £14 each, wine £6.50, good choice of food and drinks, great service, and, of course, Stunning Views of the beach and sea.
It closes this year at the end of September...looking forward to 2025 hopefully!
2 minor suggestions; it'd be helpful for the kitchen staff to fully cut the pizzas into slices, rather than just score them into "this is where to cut" lines. It took ages to cut through/tear with the little wooden knives...
And while the groovy Spanish music is ok...it was a bit much after an hour - the same drum pattern too...a mix of genres, sun-soaked, chilled music, jazz, dubb reggae, West Coast,
etc would be welcome...
That said, we recommended El M to friends who went today, and they loved it too!
Thanks to the lovely team.

Seated quickly despite queue outside and served cocktails which were nice but very pricey. It was a beautiful day and fantastic location.
Unfortunately, we ordered food and then waited 1 hour 30 for our food to arrive and when the first dish (Nachos with Chilli con carne) came there was no chilli con carne on it and a hair on the tortilla chips. We politely asked the waitress for this to be changed and she came back with the same nachos claiming that the chef had told her the tomato salsa was the chilli con carne and it was already on there before we could respond she walked away. We asked another waitress for some assistance due to the hair and thankfully quickly they replaced this entire dish. The second order of Nachos with Chilli con carne came out and it was the SAME bowl of nachos with the hair they had just added chilli to the side. I was very shocked and explained to the waitress the situation and after another 25 minutes they re-made the order. After this time, the other food (pizzas) had finally arrived which were not bad but definitely overpriced because we were on the beachfront.
Such a shame because it’s a fantastic viewing place when it’s sunny. I would recommend going here for drinks rather than food.

Having walked past a number of times and always seen it quite busy, my husband and I decided to stop and have a drink and a bit to eat. Being on the beach means that the surrounds and view are lovely, of course, plus the layout and decor are bright, vibrant and chilled.
We ordered 2 pints of Korev and 2 Ham & Cheese Paninis, the food came after about 10 minutes, but no drinks, so the food was eaten slowly in anticipation of our beer arriving, but was finished 10 minutes before the drinks then FINALLY arrived… after 25 Minutes! With the reason provided being that they had 1 bartender and it’s ‘manic’ - I dread to think what it was like when the people arrived for the VIP event which had a big area closed off and waiting!
Needless to say this was disappointing, but could have been overlooked if the food wasn’t so terrible, the sad excuse for a panini was a sliced baguette with 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of processed cheese on each half then chucked in the pizza oven, very dry and unappealing, the best part was the tortillas on the side.
To add insult to injury, the pizzas looked and made us very annoyed at our choice! So if we were to go back, we would definitely order pizza.

Visited twice both at 11:30 on a Tuesday and a Saturday just a they were starting to serve lunch. The Tuesday was pretty quiet with a few people around and was told I could sit anywhere except the loungers, the Saturday there was a number of reserved tables and got busy within a few minutes of sitting down. The food was good and prompt and the area had been themed and decorated well.

The food was equivalent to a half cooked microwavable meal from frozen. It was bland, cold, saturated with water and terrible value for money. £14 for a kids sized portion of cod and chips. Please save your money and walk down the coast 10 minutes to the main attractions.

El-Murrino
Hi, This is the wrong business you are posting on. You have posted this review on El Murrino beachside pop up on the East Cliff. We are approx 100 metres from Bayside where I believe you are reviewing for. We don’t have fish and chips for this price.
I don’t think they have trip advisor but they have a Google page that you can review. Thanks 😊 El Murrino Beachside

Have just been for a Summer works do, and wasn't expecting anything too great from a Summer pop up, but El Murrino have nailed it. Delicious pizzas and cocktails, served by cheerful staff with an in house DJ keeping those Summer vibes coming. Every bit as good as the main restaurant in town, but with sandy toes! Aso, I wasn't looking forward to the 'facilities' on the beach, but they were immaculate and not at all basic, thank you!
