We are serving Breakfast and Lunch from 8 am to 4 pm. We are open 7 days and all day you can have Breakfast at Olive Cafe. Fresh, clean and friendly atmosphere. Our products are locally sourced. We use first class back duck bacon, Cumberland sausages and free range eggs for Breakfast. Our breakfast menu has different option for everyone such as Vegetarian Breakfast, Avocado and Bacon with Poach Egg, Mediterranean Twist, classical Full English Breakfast, Egg Benedict, Egg Royal and more .... Went twice over the weekend for breakfast, advise booking during COVID times as super popular, turned a lot of people away. Both of us had the veggie big breakfast, very content with portion size and price, service a little slow on the Saturday but probably because they were so full. Extensive menu, popular with families and couples, also did a roaring takeaway service as well.

The most amazing fried eggs

My wife, daughter and I had a long weekend in Bournemouth between 24-26 October. We stayed at the Premier Inn on Poole Road and decided to breakfast here as it was a five minute walk from the hotel. I cannot fault this cafe at all. The service was polite and the breakfasts are really tasty. The bacon and sausages are not your usual cheap cuts served in some cafes, I’d say they are supplied by a local butcher. And the fried eggs are amazingly clean and cooked to perfection, with yokes crying out to be dunked. My daughter had the pancakes and they too are freshly made. Coffee served is good too. I wouldn’t hesitate to eat here again should we visit Bournemouth.

Freshest food, nicest people

We went for breakfast. I had the most gorgeous Mediterranean breakfast (plump green olives, fresh feta, tomatoes, and cucumber with a small perfectly fried egg). My husband had the salmon on toast and also loved his food - so much so that he had the same thing when we went back a couple days later. This was our first venture into a restaurant during the pandemic. The precautions seemed just right - signing in at the door, screens between tables. The staff are so friendly and the food so delicious. This is my favourite breakfast place in Bournemouth - possibly my favourite in all of England.

Nice breakfast but rushed out of the door

We had a lovely hot full English breakfast and drinks here but it’s disappointing when staff seem to think it’s ok to take plates away whilst you are still eating as my partner still had a mouthful and also the bill was on our table before we had even finished eating our breakfast. Then no sooner had we swallowed our last mouthful a staff member was at our table asking if we are paying by cash or card. It really spoilt our experience at this cafe as the breakfast was lovely but feeling rushed isn’t! I understand businesses have been affected from the Corona pandemic but no one should be made to feel pushed out of the door!!

Excellent place

Visited this cafe for breakfast. It was wonderful. Hand sanitiser on every table. I felt very Covid safe here. I had poached egg on toast. Which was lovely. My husband had fried eggs with beans, toast and mushrooms. It was very nice everyone was very friendly. I would highly recommend this place for a good start to your day in Bournemouth.

Well cooked and lovely service

During our short Bournemouth stay, we ate a late breakfast here. We were lucky to get a table! (We returned on our last day but were not as fortunate). A popular place, due to its well cooked and tasty food. Service was polite and friendly. Covid precautions were taken. Having a nearby all day breakfast place to go to us always good when you're waking up a bit later than usual. Our dishes were not dripping in grease and both dishes were tasty and much appreciated. Would definitely return to the Olive Café.

Best choice for Breakfast

We stayed in the Premier Inn just a 5 mins walk away but did not have the breakfast as we have always been disappointed with the Premier Inn Breakfasts. This place however did not disappoint as it had a far greater choice all cooked freshly food, opens early and has very friendly and welcoming staff. A far better choice

Lovely breakfast

I had the full English breakfast which was the perfect size and the quality of the sausage was lovely. My partner had the bacon, avocado and poached eggs on toast which was also cooked well. Poached eggs cooked perfectly, nice and runny in the middle and not snotty. Waitresses were lovely. Very reasonably priced. 10/10 would recommend!

Very good Cafe freshly cooked food

We used this cafe 4 out of 5 days on our Holiday and it really is very good. Food is freshly cooked and they have proper coffee which was great. With friendly staff and vegetarian options this makes a good start to anyone day. For the full 5 stars they would need to improve the following: Portion size, cooked breakfast portions were a little on the small size, Allow at least one substitution on set breakfasts items,they currently do not allow any, No pancakes were available although on menu at the time we visited. RECOMMENDED

Best Breakfast, super friendly staff

We had breakfast here 3 days running during our stay in August 2021. We had an array of different things from Jumbo breakfast, make your own breakfast, pancakes and kids breakfasts. Staff were always super friendly and they turn the meals around speedily while not compromising on quality. Definitely recommend this place if they can fit you in - the quality is shown by how busy it always seems to be.

Clean, friendly and great food

We love breakfast at the Olive cafe. Such a clean and friendly place with great music and decor. The food is freshly cooked to order and always plentiful and good. There is a huge menu for both breakfast and lunch and the prices are really reasonable. Paula is such a friendly waitress and very welcoming. It’s such a lovely breakfast experience. We highly recommend it.

we stayed at the premier inn but decided to go out for breakfast. The olive café is clean, staff are brilliant. We had the full English and I must say it was excellent fried eggs perfect, sausages perfect in fact everything was perfect. I would highly recommend this cafe

Ok breakfast but nothing more than that

I have to say considering all the great reviews and how busy this place was I was expecting more. Service was friendly but slow, in fairness you could see everyone was working hard. I ordered a bacon and egg baguette, and the bread was a cross between a panini and a baguette with the rest being cooked well but nothing special. My wife had a sausage sandwich and that was also nice enough. The coffee also was ordinary as was the orange juice. All in all was it better than the hotel breakfast, yes. Was it good value for money, I am not convinced.

Thank you for visiting olive cafe. It has been very busy therefore service may has been effected therefore it may been slow Sorr for that In term of the price olive cafe is very reasonable price. Such as bacon or sausage sandwich is £ 3.50 and you can have breakfast from £3.95 in thise case that is not fear comment and not fear to say I am not convinced . I guess in hotel that price is double

Sunday light lunch

My son daughter in law and myself were looking for a cheap light lunch in Poole Hill Bournemouth. Everywhere was shut except a pub/restaurant which could only offer a full Sunday lunch. We did want want a full roast so walked a little further and found Olive Cafe. It has been adapted very well for Covid-19 social distancing it was spotlessly clean. You could see the food being cooked behind the bar so no hidden secrets. Varied menu very reasonable prices and well cooked and presented. Tiggy Bournemouth.

Yum! Great atmosphere. Lovely staff. Food cooked to perfection.

Just had a superb breakfast at this cafe. It is always packed with people when I drive past and we’ve been meaning to visit here for quite a while. As soon as I entered the staff gave me lovely welcoming smiles, almost every table was full as usual with happy diners. My husband and I ordered Eggs Royal and Americano coffee. The service was super fast, the coffee was scalding hot and tasted excellent. Every bite was perfect from the muffins to the smoked salmon to the poached eggs which were cooked to perfection with such expert timing that the yolk ran out exactly as it should while the whites were firm and wobbly. All this was smothered with a delicious cheesy hollandaise/mayonnaise type dressing. Thoroughly recommend and reasonably priced.
