We visited on a Monday evening after booking the previous Friday. The staff are extremely welcoming, service was superb and the food is absolutely amazing. Highly, highly recommend. Hand sanitiser on entry and the tables are socially distanced. Our meal included 2 rounds of drinks and 4 tapas dishes with sparkling water and with ‘Eat out to help out’ came to £34.

The food was amazing and so delicious, we love tapas and this was one of the best we have had. Potions are just right and good value. They had a page just for a vegan diet as well. The atmosphere was relaxed and chilled and although yes service was a bit slow as they are so busy we just sat back and enjoyed the music. The restaurant was fully booked and while we were there they were turning people away so highly recommend that you book first.

Very small place, there are roughly 5 tables on each side (do not remember exactly how many), so you will be seated next to others and will not be able to have private conversations. However, this adds to this place's charm.
I want to mention first and foremost the staff's ability to make you feel welcomed in their laid-back atmosphere. They are not pushy, and not rude. Their personality is present, where it makes you feel at ease and really adds to the enjoyment of your stay. Always polite, helpful and chilled.
Clean establishment.
Amazing selection of spanish food (some of it is oily, but it's the nature of spanish cuisine not the restaurants' quality of food). Very tasty food and drinks.
If you are tired of all these boring chains, come and support this small local restaurant that compensates for its size by employing amazing staff and serving DELICIOUS food.
You just have to come, these people did not win an award for no reason!

The place was packed when we went there after a concert on a Saturday night. A table for two was quickly found and we were spoiled for choice with the extensive menu - mainly tapas but other authentic Spanish food as well. Not only was the food really excellent and reasonably priced but the atmosphere in the place was buzzing. It's so nice to experience a good vibe with both staff and customers enjoying themselves without being loud, inconsiderate, on their mobile 'phones at the table etc. Keep this fabulous place secret or you won't be able to get in!

We visited this place after scanning the reviews on trip advisor.
Firstly a big shout out to Alex and the Chefs for bringing a taste of Spain to Bournemouth. The service was with a smile, the food was delicious, hot and was served quickly. We ordered the meatballs, fish platter and the spanish oml.ette. After speaking with Alex he let us know they source many of their products from Spain, and it shows. Their home made pepper jam was very tasty, we think they should bottle it up and sell it, we took some home. This is a family run business and it shows, we will be back!

Service was very slow but maybe because it was over the Easter weekend they we’re short staffed. The staff who eventually served us were very pleasant however. Although the four tapas dishes we ordered were very nice they were rather expensive for how small they were. They could also do with a better house red wine as it was very bitter. Won’t be returning there any time soon.

Quality authentic Spanish tapas.
Our waitress recommended 2/3 dishes each & we went for 3 and couldn’t finish it all. Very tasty food.
We also tried the chocolate fondue which was different.
Considering we were one of two tables on a quiet Sunday, it was a bit disappointing to wait 25 minutes for the fondue to arrive.

Booked in advance, arrived 15 mins early to be told to “come back in 15” (fair enough) but when we came back still had to wait for table to be cleared. Sat down for nearly 20 mins before having to actually ask for menus with no offer of drinks yet! Asked for rum & cokes for them to come in giant gin/coppa glasses with the coke filled to the brim so couldn’t taste the rum! Ordering food they didn’t have 4 of the popular dishes we wanted (no croquettes or padron peppers!) We know tapas comes out in stages but one of the mains one person ordered didn’t arrive for 50 mins so everyone else had finished. Overall, food was really good but the service was terrible. Staff seemed a little rude and felt ignored the whole evening. Place is quite small so our table was right next to the toilet entrance. We were a table of 6 on a Friday night, maybe they were short staffed or overwhelmed with numbers. I have been to Lola’s before as a couple and had a great experience, but this time the service didn’t live up to the food so we won’t be returning.

Excellent food and great service, however not as refined as a premium chain/established restaurant. This is of course reflected in the price, and it would not stop us from returning again. One of our dishes was forgotten, however once we notified the waitress she was very apologetic and the dish quickly arrived at our table. Intimacy is not an issue but professionalism of the staff could go a long way. It seemed as if our waitress could do with an extra pair of hands as she was running the bar and the till, as well as taking orders and serving food. Overall impressed and would recommend to anyone

I’m blessed to say after visiting Lolas four weeks ago, myself and partner have become weekly visitors ever since. Although you can find comfort in food in many places, there’s nothing quite like the atmospheric elegancy of this quaint restaurant. The service is entirely unique to any other in Bournemouth, the staff truly create the ultimate service and experience from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. Never have I felt so welcome in a restaurant during a peak Saturday dinner shift - what a truly incredible team. The white asparagus, pinto meatballs and selection of diced potatoes were absolutely supreme, complimented with a stealthy wine selection. exquisite standard of food with an affordable bill. Gracias 🤍

A friend booked 6 of us in for dinner tonight before we went to the
The Guitar Heroes evening at the Pavilion. They had been once before and highly recommended it.
We all chose the set menu as it’s much easier and the dishes just kept coming. The Chorizo was a favourite along with the meatballs. All was washed down with the house red which was just fine. We even had the chocolate fondue for desert....delicious.
The food, welcome and friendly service were all terrific and the bill was not expensive at all.
A great start to a fabulous evening, we’ll go again next time we’re in Bournemouth.

One of the best in Bournemouth still. Outside of Spain you won’t find anything better, even in London their proper tapas (non chain) places won’t match this. We visited a week or so ago prior to the lockdown and it was amazing as ever. Started off with the Spanish strawberry Gin, Fresha, and then let the owner choose dishes for us. Had the ham and cheese croquettes, chorizo (unreal), iberico ham, etc etc. It was all amazing and I could have come back again and again. Even the aioli, not traditionally Spanish is done superbly. I love this place.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed a meal out at Lola's. We got 6 tapas dishes between 2 as well as a jug of sangria and this was just about the right amount to fill us up. Our favourite dishes were the chorizo in red wine, the king prawns in butter and garlic and the matador cheese toast. This place was busy and had a great atmosphere however sometimes it was hard to get the attention of the serving staff when sat in a booth. Would very much recommend.

This is potentially my favourite restaurant I’ve visited. Taken me too long to write a review but when ever my dad visited me at university there was no where else we would go. The food is simply incredible, particular favourites were always the chorizo, black pudding dish, potatas bravas. Really warm feel to the place, extremely friendly staff and when they have live music playing it really feels like you’re in Spain. I simply can’t recommend this place enough. Going back to Bournemouth for my graduation in November and can not wait to go again.
