My fiancé and I have been here 2 weekends in a row for an ice cream now and it’s truly scrumptious!! The chocolate ice cream is lovely and rich, the mint choc chip was a great combo without flavours overpowering each other, coffee mocha was nicely subtle so no bitter coffee taste but the rum & raisin packs a punch, with plenty of raisins and my fiancé said it was one of the best rum and raisin ice creams he’s had! You can tell great quality ingredients are used. Price is reasonable compared to other outlets towards the beach front, with a bigger serving and staff are very friendly and welcoming... highly recommend!

Excellent find. There’s no better spot for breakfast or lunch in Bournemouth. Picnic Park Deli is a real gem. We skipped our hotel breakfast to come here for the avo on sourdough & oat lattes! We returned three times to sit on the comfortable seats; overlooking the park, safe from the crowds and its many dramas. We did have a quibble over the charges for swapping fried eggs for halloumi, however it was quickly resolved by quick-thinking and friendly staff. Rather sums the place up, smart, high quality, perfect location. Thank you and I look forward to returning.

We stopped at this little cafe New Year’s Eve 2019!! It had been renamed picnic on the piste to attract the winter crowd!!! I ordered salted caramel hot chocolate and we sat under heaters with blankets and it was amazing. So good we called back the next day. Extremely reasonable prices and friendly staff. Will definitely call again on our next visit to Bournemouth.

Visited this wonderfully run I dependent bistro on many occasions. The location is lovely especially on a sunny day when the pine trees give just the right amount of shade. Go for breakfast and the bacon roll or avocado toast are delicious, at lunchtime the Old Harry Toastie is highly recommended. It's dog friendly, with treats for the dogs.

Amazing food, all freshly prepared in beautiful surroundings. We had the avocado toast and banana toast with coffee. The service was warm and friendly, the location is wonderful, it’s like picnicking in the forest and the food was absolutely delicious. Such a wonderful experience we’re going straight back in the morning.

Bournemouth beach gets really crowded with queues outside eateries. We were very lucky to find this place which is just a few mins walk from the sandy beaches. This place is perfect spot to relax and have a cuppa. We loved having the banana toast and cheese grilled sandwiches and enjoying the amazing views after a long day at the beach. To top it off we also had load of fun ply table tennis which is free for the cafe customers.

We stumbled across this and so glad we did! Coffee was lovely and offered oat milk. Food was wonderful, over a couple of days we had the salmon on toast, avocado&egg on toast & brioche breakfast sandwich - all really good quality and value for money. Also couldn’t get a more picturesque setting!

Have stopped off here before just for a coffee but found ourselves in Bournemouth at lunch time so decided to eat here. Order taken by lovely girl who was very friendly and helpful. Our hot drinks were prepared straight away and we both commented on the excellent coffees, so different from the tasteless coffee from the well known chains! Our sourdough toasties were excellent and again different, freshly made and fillings plentiful. The setting in the gardens is lovely and we were able to enjoy the live music which was just at the right volume nice just to chill out and relax and watch the world go by.

Stopped here mid morning for a coffee and pastry and was pleasantly surprised by just how chilled it was. Choices not extensive but enough for most people at reasonable prices. Staff helpful and everything Covid friendly. Thanks

We stopped to have lunch at The Drop Inn & were very glad we did! The food was delicious, we were served in a very timely manner and we were able to sit outside in the sunshine. The outside seating is far enough away from the road that we were hardly aware of the traffic. There was plenty of choice & we definitely go again. The chef was quite happy to change the chips for a larger salad.

What a great find during a short visit to Bournemouth. Set amongst a “tropical feel” park just off seafront. Beautiful aviary and live music on selected days due high season. Hubby was offered sugar free caramel latte suitable for diabetics. Both drinks were perfect. Time didn’t allow food but will visit again when next in the area. Great service and staff, beautiful setting, free dog treats, kids colouring bits and blankets if bit chilly. Beautiful all round visit. Thank you and lots of continued success x

Used before in the summer and went in Saturday on the first full day of the Winter Christmas Decorations. Like everywhere else it was busy but found a table. Very festive inside but the music, which appeared to be on a loop , was far to loud. What is wrong with allowing people to actually talk while having a coffee/meal ? Tasty food, good coffee, reasonably priced so why is it the one thing that sticks in my mind is the loud music? Shame, for me it spoiled an otherwise good experience. Would I reccomend? Definitely, but maybe for me in the summer. If you can ignore the music go and support them I don't thing you will be dissapointed.

Introduced by a friend. Great setting, friendly staff and good quality coffee and food. Sensible prices especially for its attractive location. Covered are as well as sun spots. Toasted sandwich options show ingenuity in choice and gave new taste experiences. Will return

Wonderful little place located in the far east (north side) of the beautiful lower gardens, we had a lovely lunch in the sun. Toasted cheese, leeks, bacon and tomato jam, plain toasted cheese and avocado with poached egg on sourdough along with skin on fries were wolfed down by my hungry family along with mojitos (for the adults of course) and ice creams for the kids. It’s a gorgeous setting close to the aviary and with views of the big wheel, a perfect example of a business that doesn’t rely solely on its position but offers good food as well. Impressed and highly recommended.

Picnic Park Deli absolutely ticks all the right boxes. The staff are always incredibly friendly and accommodating in addition to being very welcoming and enthusiastic. Particularly Marta and Aggie who work very very hard providing excellent service in a very customer focused environment. The cakes and snacks are varied, in addition to a menu offering a good choice of freshly prepared food cooked to order. Even that is reviewed periodically to reflect the season and current trends so never feels dated or staid. The ethos of this eaterie demonstrates a keen interest in not only serving quality food to the the local community, but also by supporting good causes and encouraging local enterprises, such as developing young musical talent (live music is a regular feature). So refreshing compared to the big names who just don't engage with or listen to their customer's needs. Well done Picnic Park Deli. Keep up the good work!
