We rang ahead for our party of 8 as this place gets very busy. We arrived as soon as it opened to have brunch it took a while to warm the kitchen up but when we got our tea and scones they were definitely worth the wait. This place gets pretty full pretty quickly and we had a lovely day... More

Stopped by Puhoi Cottage Tea Rooms for the second time in the last few years, as we remembered they offered a fantastic afternoon tea. The scones were MEGA size - in fact one between two would have been enough! They were served with delicious raspberry jam, and a huge dish of real cream , so were extremely yummy! We enjoyed... Went with my mum for something a bit different ad out of the city, the gardens were gorgeous to walk through loads of fruit trees, would love to have bought some plums and lemons. The cream scones were very very generous, we shared one between 2 of us and it was still very filling. Tea and coffee good quality and... More

The scones are amazing! The garden setting is lovely and service is friendly and nice. I come here to get out of town, bypassing the village pub for a country setting.

Ate outdoors, under a sun umbrella. Ploughman's lunch, and the Devonshire tea, both delicious. Quieter, on public holiday, than the lovely cheese factory café.

We have been on an outing for the day from Auckland to Puhoi and came along this amazing place. Make sure not to miss the tea rooms along the road close to the village. It offers a great garden with a peaceful surrounding. The service was prompt and the atmosphere excellent.

Puhoi is a delightful place and the only bad point is so many others find it delightful too thus it can be quite congested and busy. We drove through the congested village and on to Puhoi Valley Cheese Co which was even more congested....delighted we had spotted this cafe on the way we returned and we were glad we did.... More

Great food and friendly service. They have many gluten free options and everything is homebaked. Some dairy free options also. Perfect for families as they have a trampoline and animals for the children to enjoy. And very dog-friendly too. It has a lovely atmosphere and I would definitely recommend visiting on a good day so you can enjoy the outdoors. Definitely... More

We enjoyed sitting outside in their lovely garden. The devonshire teas were ok- could do with a bit more Jam. They would do well to display their cakes etc - as otherwise you're just picking from a blackboard

Beautiful food and good service. Don't be tempted to order extra food if you're hungry because the portions are huge. I ordered the Devonshire Tea and an extra scone because I was famished .... and I couldn't eat the extra scone! A wonderful experience and highly recommended to everybody.
